    Totally agree, please sign Hardy long term asap. From that article, it's very clear that Hardy really wants to remain a Brewer which is excellent. With a long term extension, I think he wouldn't mind moving to 3B when Escobar is ready, to help improve the team.

    No doubt spells the end for Weeks.Maybe the combination of Jason Bourgeois and Hurricane Hernan Iribarren could make Weeks available for trade.

    I certainly wouldn't mind trading Weeks for DeJesus and I think the Royals will be interested in that. After which I'd trade Cameron and play DeJesus in CF and leadoff. DeJesus's contract is quite attractive too.

    At least by matching the Yankees' $140M offer, it would force them to raise their offer to insane heights. I sure wouldn't mind seeing them blow over $180M on a pitcher in this economy. If CC signs with the Brewers for $140M, I would be delighted. But I won't be upset if CC cost the Yankees over $180M though.

    For me, I would trade for a regular 3B only if Hall can be traded first. If not, I would probably re-sign Branyan and promote Brad Nelson to the 25-man roster. Have Branyan and Hall platoon 3B, have Nelson as backup 1B and a useful left-handed pinch hitter. If Prince do get traded for pitching, I wouldn't mind starting Nelson at 1B for a couple of months and see how it goes.

    My biggest fear is losing Sabathia through free agency, really hope DM gets CC signed. My next biggest fear is losing Hardy and Hart, I sure hope DM don't trade them this offseason.

    I'd be happy to give Suppan to the Braves if they are interested. They have the money and Suppan may be an upgrade over Reyes or Morton in their rotation.

    Good choice by Macha on picking Castro, I like it a lot and Castro really deserves it.

    That's a good offer, but I'd increase it to 6/138M so that CC can be called the highest paid pitcher in baseball and there would be no nonsense from that damn union.

    I wouldn't mind having a Durham / Counsell platoon at 2B in 2009, if Weeks do get traded.

    If CWS is keen to dump Vazquez because he is not a "big game" pitcher, I'd be delighted to trade Suppan for him. Hopefully CWS thinks of Suppan as a "big game" pitcher, a NLCS MVP and a WS winner, like the Brewers did and accept the offer. If not, I wouldn't mind trading Hall and Riske for Vazquez.

    If the cost of a new home doesn't kill you, maybe adding the home renovation and furnishing cost will.

    I'm ok with Macha as the manager, his managerial track record is pretty good and much better than Yost. Really hope Sveum and Maddux returns to the Brewers coaching staff.
