  1. i'm interested
  2. Really? This may go as far as a lifetime ban?....... ESPN keeps adding to this dramatic soap opera.
  3. @derek_nye Mostly stuff about running, fitness, nutrition, breaking news in sports, etc.
  4. So it looks like this is inevitable now. Hopefully the 100 games starts right away and not start at the beginning of next year for Braun. Please just bring this BS to a head at the all-star break. This investigation shouldn't be taking this long. This breaks my heart as a baseball fan, and not because of the players who are on 'the list'. Hopefully we can have some certainty about this whole garbage of a story, but I even doubt that. Seems like a big money hustle just to keep MLB 'clean' but it's just going to make the league and the commissioner look very bad.
  5. IN So what is our pitching situation like now that Radman is gone the next couple weeks? I'm open to being a 'lefty specialist' for a couple innings but not a whole game.
  6. Seems like this inflamed nerve in Braun's hand isn't getting much better. He might not be back until after the all-star break. http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/2013/06/20/braun-will-need-more-dl-time/
  7. I'm excited for this move. We got a steal of a deal with a guy the Braves just didn't have room for. Hopefully he gets about 80% work at 1st until Corey comes back. Should be enough time for him to prove he belongs in a every day lineup once you send A-Ram for an arm. His numbers are what they are, but I liked watching this guy in ATL. I have high hopes.
  8. IN I completely forgot... is there anyone that doesn't have a shirt that would like one? The only extras I have on me are #19 XL, #17 XXL, #28 XXL. I can always order more, and they would take about a week. I'm might do an embroidered hat this weekend for myself, see how it turns out......
  9. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/inthenameofra/T2eC16RzUE9s38GpWBQrnNwTBew60_57.jpg This isn't my image, but I do have one of these 1950s Braves pennants. Was originally my grandmother's, and she told me she got this at a game during the '57 championship season. Is there anyway to prove that? Does that make it more valuable compared to, say from the '55 season? I seen a few up ebay over sporadic times, going for $170, $240, $199, $119, etc. so not really sure what a good value is.
  10. I run an embroidery shop. Could easily do this for $50, applique material and jersey included.
  11. I missed it last Friday, so doing a few today. Here is my lineup (35K salary cap): P - C.J. Wilson (LAA @ HOU) $7.1K 16.33 C - Nick Hundley (SDP v MIA) $2.6K -.75 1B - Anthony Rizzo (CHC v STL) $4.2K -1 2B - Daniel Murphy (NYM v CWS) $3.5K 1.5 3B - Josh Donaldson (OAK @ CLE) $3.5K .5 SS - Everth Cabrera (SDP v MIA) $3.5K 3.5 OF - Josh Hamilton (LAA @ HOU) $3.1K -1 OF - Ben Zobrist (TAM v TOR) $3.5K .25 OF - Nelson Cruz (TEX @ MIL) $3.9K .25 TOTAL = 19.58 Wow, one of the worst days I've ever had since playing FanDuel 2 years ago. Pitcher was great but didn't get the win. Thought I had great matchups for my hitters but they did nothing.
  12. Earlier the better for me, around 10-11 maybe? I'd be there at 8 but doubt anyone wants to go that early.
  13. what surgery did you have?
  14. The earlier the better for me.
  15. Valpo, text me when you want to get a practice together.
  16. My original post said that I have a goal of running a marathon... today started day 1 of training for the lakefront marathon on October 6th. Over the next 5 months I plan to total over 1000 miles. Cross training days I'm doing Tai Chi, along with some resistance work. This stuff is really changing my life. I thought I was going to do a few races just to say I did them. Now it's almost an obsession. It has also steered me into a career change. I'm currently studying to be a personal trainer and a nutritionist. These certificates limit me compared to going back to school (I would 100% go back for exercise science and/or dietitian if I could), but but it's something I want to accomplish in my life now. I'm already involved with a couple different things (Beachbody Coach, Sunburst Superfoods Affiliate) as I've started a entrepreneurship called MOVE IT Fitness & Nutrition. I'm undertaking a lot by myself right now so it's a little overwhelming for me but I'm 110% committed to this. I just need to connect with some new people to aid in this project of mine . Not easy with an already full-time job as a graphic designer. It's slowly gaining interest through friends and word-of-mouth so it will definitely take some time. Some already want work with me personally to get fit or lose weight so we'll see how all this goes. Why didn't I study for this right out of high school? I wish I had more sense back then lol.
  17. Not much interest yet huh? I guess no one wants me to take their money which is understandable, haha. FRI 4/26 TOTAL 41 P Ryan Dempster (BOS v HOU) 18 C Evan Gattis (ATL @ DET) 1.5 1B Ryan Howard (PHI @ NYM) 7.25 2B Robinson Cano (NYY v TOR) 3.25 3B Jayson Nix (NYY v TOR) 1.25 SS Starlin Castro (CHC @ MIA) -1 OF Starling Marte (PIT @ STL) 4.5 OF Alejandro De Aza (CWS v TAM) 1.25 OF Ryan Braun (MIL @ LOS) 5 I fell short of breaking even in 5 contest. Dempster was what I expected but no big offense except for the Braun and Howard HRs.
  18. Wow! I'm not surprised by the broken collarbone after trying to shoulder in with a bull. I do respect Grienke's courage, although it cost him. Quentin is a douche, but I guess it's "part of the game?" I don't understand it. Watching the entire at bat, I don't think he purposely through at him at all. It was a pitch that got away from him, that's it. Greinke had some verbiage under his breath as Quentin stared him down and I think that's what really triggered it. Zack says "f*@%" as Carlos charges, throws down his glove and stood up for himself.
