  1. Right now, I'm big fan of Fortune. They act and were built like the original 4 horsemen (Flair, Arn & Ole, and Blanchard). Now with Christopher Daniels in the group too make it even better. Past favorites are obviously IV Horsemen, DX, the NWO Wolfpac. I like the idea of Nexus and the Corre, but all those guys just plain suck except for Ezekiel Jackson.
  2. My guess is Dennis Gilbert will be the front runner. I believe he can in second for the bidding of the Rangers.
  3. There is a lot of Brewer/Bear fans in Racine and Kenosha. Baseball wise it's pretty split but I think there are more bears fan than packers fans.
  4. Are any of you obsessed with fantasy baseball (or just baseball in general) as much as I am? I just can across daily fantasy games at FanDuel.comhttp://partners.fanduel.com/processing/impressions.asp?btag=a_656b_131. You setup daily lineups and play h2h with your opponent's lineup, or play in 5-team/10-team leagues. You get a salary cap of $35000 and you play a starting pitcher for that day, along with the position players (C/1B/2B/3B/SS/LF/CF/RF). Best part, win or lose, you draft a different team every day and there is no season long commitment. You can play daily games for $5 or play against real opponents for free. There are a few brewer fans I've seen in the forums and chats. Some of these people on here are no joke, you have to do your daily research (batter vs. pitcher stats, hot/cold players, SP matchups, possible rainouts, etc.). I heard about this on a Sirius/XM sports radio station and gave it a try. Since then, I really have become addicted. On the home page, click on the 'Heard about us on the radio' microphone banner. The promo code is 'FREEMONEY2' for a free $10 deposit when you sign up. I just started on this site last Friday and already turned $25 into $48. Yea I'm a lightweight when it comes to betting but it's very fun and competitive. This may be the way fantasy sports is headed in the future, especially for die-hard players. Forgot to mention, if anyone wants to challenge me (money or free h2h), my username is bushleaguebruiser
  5. Nevermind about the team bat. I'm sure most of you already have bats, except me. But I did go out and buy a cheap DeMarini Bruiser, my first softball bat purchase. Looking forward to beating the crap out of it.
  6. I'm glad I saw this, shows how horrible I really was last year.
  7. I can get the F4 at around $230 @ Dunn's or Dick's. I'd pay half if others want to chip in for a team bat. I wouldn't use it any other time besides for our team. That's why I wanted to throw the idea out there. My previous softball team pitched in to get the F3 when it came out, very nice bat, good pop. Here are the specs on the F4: Fiercelyl Ahead of the GameIt's the world's most technologically-advanced aluminum composite hybrid. SC4 alloy combined with the patented DeMarini Doublewall design creates the thinnest and strongest aluminum walls in the game (12% stronger to be exact). With an all-new C6 composite handle employing a wider composite weave, flex is optimized and performance maximized, giving this bat game-changing power. Approved Associations: ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA
  8. I agree, that country-boy garbage has to go.
  9. Anyone hear about the condition of the fan that was hit by Gallardo's bat? I was in the top sections and see him/her walk out with the paramedics. Hopefully everything is alright and there was no concussion or anything.
  10. Anyone want to pitch in a get a new team bat? I was thinking something like the DeMarini F4.
  11. Crap, sorry Valpo. I completely forgot about this. I'm going to Paragon tonite so I'll talk to him about it.
  12. I really want to get one of those Iron Gym pull-up bars you hang on the door frame. Anyone have one, like it/don't like it?
  13. Brewers, Weeks agree to extension Honestly, I don't know why this topic was even brought up. I mean, I know it's all hypothetical but there was no way he wasn't going to sign long-term. Especially since they traded away arguably their best prospect and 2B replacement.
  14. android has something called "tunein", it's a free radio station app. I'm not sure if it will let you listen to brewer games(it has WTMJ), but i was able to catch the blackhawks game the other night, so it might work for baseball. I'll know for sure once the first ST game is on WTMJ. It's a iPhone app too. And yes the games will broadcast on WTMJ, it's just like a live stream. I love this app because I don't have AM on car radio. I always listen to Sportsradio 1250 and 670 The Score, and have caught a couple Badger bball games on WTMJ.
  15. I'll talk with the owner of Club Paragon and see what he's says about it.
  16. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Toy Belt WWE World Heavyweight Championship Commemorative Belt The kid's toy belt is only cost $20 and the commemorative plastic-made one is $110. A real championship belt is $250. They jacked up that price over the past few years because I got one for my father-in-law that was less than $200 (that included the custom name plate).
  17. All 5 sausage sampled on a kabob, how can this one not win. I might be expensive but what isn't at the ballpark. My vote definitely went for the kabob
  18. It's actually on Howard Ave. (112th St.), but the closest major intersection is HWY 100 & Beloit Rd. Coldspring is the next road south.
  19. What if we got a secondary sponsor to cover the charges? I know the owner of Club Paragon, and he's always happy to sponsor teams and supply shirts. I could ask him about it. For shirts, we could have something like the brewerfan logo or just brewerfan.net across the front, numbers on the back and club paragon logo on the sleeve.
  20. I'll miss Bush
  21. Appreciate the feedback! I'm 26, 5'8" 180 lbs. so I am still young. Looking back on my high school years, I wish I would have gotten into track or CC. Instead I was a soccer defenseman that occasionally smoked. And yes I like running in the cold, although I hate some of my neighborhood that don't clean off their sidewalks. I always prefer to run at Greenfield Park (closest to my house) or somewhere on the Oak Leaf Trail. My first 5K went very well too, I finished at 26:49, a pace of less than 9 minutes a mile. I'm never that fast when I'm by myself. I think running with a crowd and the fact that it was an official race gave me extra motivation to push myself. Which leads me into my injury. Even before that race, I've been having some pain on the outside of my knee. I've looked online about it and found that it could be a strained IT band. It's nothing serious but I am taking it easy this month or until I don't feel the pain anymore. Been doing the RICE treatment (rest, ice, compression, and elevation). I have heard good reviews about those barefoot shoes. I currently have a pair of Adidas Bounce. I might have try a barefoot shoe to see how they feel. I also use iMapMyRun app that does GPS tracking, distance, speed, time. I keep track of every run I do on MapMyRun.com, very useful tool.
  22. I just started running at the beginning of December 2010, and just did my first 5K on New Year's Eve at State Fair Park. I'm also doing one at the end of January in Franklin. I'm looking to do the Sausage 5K and that new Milwaukee 10K run on the last day of Summerfest. My ultimate goal is to do a marathon run but I have a long ways to go before I'm ready for it. Just curious to know if any of you do recreational running or races? How long have you been running? What equipment/apparel do you use? Any injuries/treatments? Anything else you want to share about your experiences?
