  1. Wasn't it the same song last night as they play after every win? The lyrics are escaping me now....shoot. Edit: When we win tonight I'll pay more attention and report back, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
  2. From the Brewers website: Fan Mail Letters to Brewers' players should be addressed to them individually and mailed to Milwaukee Brewers, One Brewers Way, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53214. If a response is desired, a self-addressed, stamped envelope is recommended. Due to the volume of mail received, responses are not guaranteed.
  3. I have 2 extra Terrace Reserved tickets for tonight's game - section 416. Marquee value is $20 per ticket, so that's what I'm looking for. I can meet up before the game, or any time today on the east side of Milwaukee. Help me get these tickets into the hands of Brewers fans!
  4. Kind of related, I really liked the use of O.A.R.'s song "This Town" in the fan thank you video montage. I wouldn't mind using that as a theme song. "Take this town" could be a reference to taking Miller Park back from the cub fans. I don't want it to be the way they want it... This town, this night, this crowd Come on put em up, let me hear it loud This town, this city, this crowd Stand up on your feet put your worry down Everyone of you, all around Come on ya'll let's take this town
  5. It would be a good idea to register in advance for this election. The lines at the polling places are already going to be long, and registration just makes them longer. I work in a residence hall that also serves as a polling place, and the Election Commission has been in contact with me for months to make sure we try and get all of our students registered so the lines aren't unmanageable an election day.
  6. I lied. I'm not done. Tonight was fantastic.
  7. Last year they gave out coupons worth $10 at the concession stand during the 2008 season. This is a better deal.
  8. I'm not done watching for the year, but I've decided for sure I won't be getting another full-season ticket package. I can't continue to invest that much money in a team that likes to collapse in September. I'm thinking I might get a 20-game pack....maybe. If there's a miraculous turnaround maybe i'll change my mind, but I doubt it. I invested too much money in the team this year - next year I'll use that money for other things, like traveling to Europe or fixing up my house.
  9. the longer version of Jamie's interview is available online: link
  10. This is where someone should come up with the link that shows how the Cubs sell huge blocks of tickets straight to ticket brokers....who are conveniently owned by the Tribune.
  11. It really wouldn't surprise me if the Cubs-Astros game ended up on ESPN tonight.
  12. I ran into this nice couple that let me tailgate with them in an empty parking lot. It was a good time. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. I love the UW Credit Union. I never get a fee from them to use an ATM (although most other ATMs will charge me) and on campuses they offer lots of ATMs that are completely free...even for people with other banks. The customer service is really great too. My parents bank with M&I, and they have only good things to say about it. I think they have the gold checking account, so they get all of their ATM fees refunded.
  14. I haven't paid for something with Paypal in years. dang, that was easy.
  15. YES!!!!! I've recognized this guy in my section a couple times a month at brewers games all season. I knew I recognized him, but I couldn't put a finger on it. Now I know. The family next to me often brings McDonalds into the game with him. I wonder if he's jealous. He's definitely a big brewers fan.
  16. I'll be at Miller Park. I'm probably one of the only people on this site that really doesn't care about football.
  17. That policy change would really sadden me. When I'm actually motivated to eat healthy, I like to carry in my food since there really aren't that many healthy options in the stadium. However, I don't know what this piece of info has to to do with this thread.[/s] (edit: line removed to reflect thread split --1992)
  18. World Series dates are out there too - the home games for the National League will be October 24-26, I believe. Just on here really quick and don't have time to google for the reference.
  19. Thank you all for the information. Note to self: avoid pigs.
  20. In an uncanny event that proved the Onion article true, CC mauls Fielder after envisioning him as a chilli cheese dog.
  21. Let me first say that I have no farming experience, and little experience with animals in general. That being said, could someone please explain to me how pigs "attack?" They've never struck me as attack-type animals. Woman Attacked By Pigs
  22. For the team to police that, they would need to have someone look over the shoulder of everyone reselling tickets. Just watch the scalpers - they call you over, then hustle you over to the fence where no one can hear them. If you're stubborn enough you can usually talk them down. I'd like to see someone threaten to tell the police they're selling them for over face value. From the few times I've been over there, it seems like they're more concerned with getting the resellers to stay in the designated area than determining what price they're selling the tickets for. However, if you can find the "real fans" that are selling tickets (easy to do - they'll have 2-4 extra tickets instead of 20), they usually play by the rules.
  23. Also, if you're looking for tickets, many of the posters here (including myself) have tickets for sale in the Trading Post discussion. Not sure if you know how you're getting to the park yet, but the 90 bus runs right past your hotel on game days and will take you right up to the front gate. And, although the ticket resale zone is for face value only, that isn't usually the case until well after the game has started, unless you're looking for Terrace Reserved seats. (linked Trading Post --1992)
  24. I have 3 seats in section 416 available for the following games/prices: Monday, September 1: $10 each Wednesday, September 3: $10 each Friday, September 5: $14 each (face value) I can do an online ticket transfer for an extra $2 per ticket (you'll get the tickets via email), or can meet up outside the Miller Park gates approximately 90 minutes before game time. PM me if interested.
