  1. Just another Billy Jo Robidoux. A couple of good years and then nothing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  2. You can't overlook the p.r. value a move like this would have. Brewer fans are already getting nervous about having to "break up" our team. Even though yes we have Braun locked up anyway this would still send a good message to the fans.
  3. Trenni is doing a very good job. We should enjoy her work now before she moves to a larger market.
  4. Well I finally found out what was going on. I sent an email to Trenni through the FSN myspace page and this is her response: Wow, you are really TV savvy! You are correct, we are temporarily using a different director for the first month of the show until our permanent guy finishes his NBA duties. I apologize if things haven't been quite up to par with what you expect and will certainly pass the note on. I'm not quite sure how much will change, but hopefully we can continue to get better. Are there specific shots you feel we used last season we are not using now? Thanks for sending a note about this. I have a lot of respect for viewers who actually voice a specific complaint as opposed to an insult with no backing. Thanks for watching! Trenni
  5. I have the same question. Why broadcast one game in HD and the next night, no HD.
  6. I have this weird feeling that Dave Nelson was made director. That would explain a lot of things. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  7. Let's hope they put him in Thursday during a Brewer blowout win just to give him some work since he hasn't pitched all week.
  8. He will definitely get booed. Carlos Lee gets booed and he took an offer that was MUCH higher than what we offered. In Coco's case he took a higher offer but it wasn't all that much higher. Add in the fact that if Coco is in the game it is most likely that we are losing and there will be plenty of boos to be heard.
  9. I agree there is no way to stop people from getting into the lots without tickets. I have used will-call myself many times or have met people there who had my ticket.
  10. I haven't. It will be interesting to see if we get an answer and if we do are they all the same generic responses. I'm going to email Wolfley and see if he knows anything about this. I don't expect him to write anything in his column but I'd like to know what's going on with FSN.
  11. No. Bill and Brian obviously had no idea or they would have said something. That was just one of MANY examples of the amateur Brewers production we have experienced so far this year. It's completely unacceptable.
  12. I don't see how this could upset anyone. The extra $8 they get for a carload of people without tickets is nothing. And if you do have tickets you can get there THREE hours before the game. That's plenty of time.
  13. So far they have just given warnings, but I agree this is something that is overdue with the large crowds we have been drawing.
  14. Interesting. I was in field level seats on Saturday and it looked fine. I'll have to explore a little more on Thursday when I'm there.
  15. If we all had the same opinion there wouldn't be a need for boards like these. If you are happy with BA that's great. I hope I learn to like him as well. If they get the game telecast up from the current third grade level I wouldn't care who was announcing.
  16. It's nothing personal against Anderson , it's just my opinion. Yes he did some minor league games early in his career. He was so good at it that he moved from minor league baseball to basketball and then all the way up to the golf channel. If you like Anderson that's great. I just think we should have been able to do a lot better. Obviously he came cheap but I thought the Brewers organization was finally above hiring based only on cheap salaries. (pared back long quote --1992)
  17. Exactly. You would think that would be in baseball directing 101: Make sure you show each pitch.
  18. I thought Sutton and Vasgersian were good. Which is why is was disappointing to downgrade to someone with no experience. Sure everyone has to start somewhere but given that we are a team on the rise I would have thought we could have easily been able to get someone with some major league chops. It's the same with the new director. We apparently couldn't find anyone who has actually done it before. Incredible. Anderson came from the GOLF CHANNEL and as a sideline reporter for the Spurs. A few years ago he did some minor league baseball and Little League baseball. I find it hard to believe that's the best we could do. Schroeder has to carry the telecast because he actually knows baseball while BA is still learning the sport. At least this year he isn't saying "didn't carry" on every fly out. Anderson could pan out as a good announcer but it's painful having to listen to him learn on the job. Combined with the terrible telecasts themselves has made a 5-1 start hard to actually watch. (pared back long nested quote --1992)
  19. I would agree with the "no incentive" line of thinking if the telecasts had always been horrible. They haven't. They have never been great but at least you would be able to see each play as it happens and not miss so many things. Whatever/whoever the changes have been from last year to this year, they need to change back.
  20. Last year they bring in Brian Anderson, a guy with ZERO major league baseball experience and he was pretty bad. He got better by the time the season was over but he still has his rough spots. But with announcers I have the option of turning down the volume and listening to the radio. With a telecast there is no other option. I agree it shouldn't be either/or. Brewer games have been on TV for decades and it's NEVER been this bad. And there is no reason is has to be.
  21. http://msn.foxsports.com/feedback I would suggest everyone send a message. Be polite or they won't take us seriously. I really want to know what's going on with the telecasts.
  22. I agree it's the director and not the camera guys, they just shoot what they are told to shoot. It has to be someone new. There were some problems last year but nothing like this year. It seems as if each game is getting worse. Maybe the trade off for more HD games is having to hire a 10 year old to direct the games.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  23. Is there any FSN email address that is valid? I'd love to email them and ask them what's going on. It's beyond pathetic and really detracts from the game.
  24. Yes they do but FSN should be able to do that as well. They have in the past.
  25. The pitch speed is shown rarely too. Maybe we can call up someone from Nashville who knows how to actually produce a baseball game.
