  1. The Yannick Ngakoue Pro Bowl campaign makes me happy. I didn’t know there were many die hard Jags fans out there, but they could really use a win like this before their team moves to London.
  2. It’s always struck me as odd that Trubisky went #2 overall despite only going 8-5 in his only year as a starter in college. The small sample size would have scared me as a GM. At least Kyler Murray played behind another Heisman trophy winner and was crazy athletic (as evidenced by going #9 overall in the MLB draft). I don’t recall ever hearing Trubisky’s name until he started popping up in mock drafts (and even then, he was in the range of picks 5-15, never #2). That’s not a knock on Mitch. Just a criticism of Chicago’s front office.
  3. I'm a fan of shorter DCAing, as I believe data has shown that 3-6 months is ideal. I could certainly be wrong about that, but I believe there was a study on it from a couple of years ago. Thanks. The rational side of me knows regularly investing in equity index mutual funds is a proven path to financial independence. The irrational side of me finds it hard to part with cash knowing how hard I’ve worked to accumulate adequate (non-retirement) savings.
  4. I have some spare cash I’d like to invest in equity index mutual funds. I’d hate to put these funds in the market all at once only to see the market go down, so I think dollar cost averaging makes more sense for me. What’s an appropriate timeframe for DCA’ing? 1 year? 2 years? Longer?
  5. I think they find a way to stretch things out next year with some salary cap magic. The reckoning will be in 2022. I’ve always wanted the Packers to ‘go for it’ at the end Rodgers’ career, even if that necessitated a salary cap repair year or two afterwards. It just doesn’t feel like the Packers really ‘went for it.’
  6. 2 picks on the day for Russ. That’s double diggies on the year.
  7. Wilson just threw a pick in the end zone. At least that cancels out Rodgers’ INT in the MVP race. Lookout for Mahomes, though.
  8. I just hope: 1) They can re-sign Jamaal Williams to a team-friendly deal 2) They get a 3rd round comp pick for Aaron Jones 3) BG doesn’t trade that pick to move up 4 spots for a pick that does not address a glaring hole
  9. I was a few minutes behind on the DVR, but that was my first thought too. Thankfully, Darren Sharper is in jail and not the Packers’ secondary.
  10. You’re right. If you told me the defense would only give up 13 points today, I would have told you the Packers should win easy. I didn’t count on the ST touchdown and BOTH Rodgers and Adams turning it over today.
  11. Nah, too early ... but what does that say about the Packers’ defense?
  12. Wait, he bets $99K to win $9K? Wouldn't that be a $90K loss? Correct Right, but only if the Packers lose ... right?
  13. Greg Jennings: This drive is big. Oh really? For a second there, Greg Jennings, I didn think this was a big drive.
  14. Funny you mention that. I rarely have confidence in the Packers. I never count wins before the clock hits 0:00. This week, however, I was reasonably confident the 6-2 Packers would dispatch of the 1-7 Jaguars. The football gods are smiting me.
  15. Too late. Just pray Lazard is that legit WR2.
  16. The rational person in me says the reason why the Packers always seem to play down to their opponents is because the NFL is loaded with quality athletes and the margin between winning and losing is slim. The other part of me thinks it’s because the Packers haven’t been very good for a decade, but Aaron Rodgers masks a lot of problems.
  17. Honestly, if you went back a decade (post XLV), where do you think the Packers would grade out on ST? Probably a C at best and that’s only because Mason Crosby has been a steady-Eddie.
  18. I really don’t like Huard or Jennings. Nothing against Meyers.
  19. What an act by Jack. I think less of him now.
  20. For the brand, right?
  21. So coin toss looms large today Again, they’ve lost 5 in a row. That’s the equivalent of 2.5 turnovers.
  22. I don’t think they’ll have to worry about that.
  23. That’s 5 coin tosses in a row the Packers have lost.
  24. Greg Jennings again. Yuck.
  25. I’ve seen at least one media outlet (APC) hyping this as a potential revenge game for Allen Lazard (who was not activated). Lazard was signed off the Jags practice squad in December 2018. They signed him as a UDFA and kept him around on their practice squad all year. If you asked Lazard, he’d probably acknowledge he was grateful for the opportunity. People are really grasping for straws to put some intrigue in this game.
