  1. This is why I can’t stand LeBron. He’s taken the path of least resistance to all of his titles. Do you think he goes back to Cleveland if the Cavaliers didn’t have 3 of the last 4 #1 overall picks? How about the Lakers if they didn’t have 3 consecutive #2 overall picks? He’s like the aliens in Independence Day. He consumes all of a teams resources in pursuit of a championship and then moves on. Here’s to Giannis winning one in Milwaukee as a true alpha.
  2. Aaron Jones is now represented by Drew Rosenhaus. He gone (as if there wasn’t already a lot of doubt).
  3. I'll admit I liked seeing Washington KO the Niners and that smug Shanahan. On another note I have always kind of liked Rivera. He has been through a lot and has kind of a Andy Reid vibe. Agreed on both counts. Rivera is a likable guy and Shanahan is too old for flat-brimmed hats.
  4. Aside from Rodgers, I thought MVS was the player of the game.
  5. Breaking News: Packers win the NFC North.
  6. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this team, but they’re going to get punched in the mouth by a >0.500 team sooner or later and it won’t end well.
  7. I was a little skeptical after the first half, but they’ve take care of business in the second half. Kudos to them,
  8. I feel like that works against the Packers ... fewer possessions and less time to prove they’re the superior team (sort of like when Virginia men’s basketball lost in the first round of the tourney).
  9. Those were my exact thoughts 20 minutes ago.
  10. Exactly how I feel. The Chiefs winning a division is neither breaking nor news. I’ve seen it at least 20 times during this broadcast. It can’t be breaking if viewers have already been informed 19 times.
  11. Anyone else sick of the ‘breaking news’ on the Fox ticker (Chiefs winning the AFC West)? Every time, I move to the edge of my seat thinking a space shuttle just exploded or something only to be fooled by a fact most NFL fans learned an hour ago.
  12. Even though I’m in Wisconsin, my Fox affiliate showed virtually no pre-game coverage for the Packer game. I was afraid they weren’t going to switch over and I’d be stuck with a different game. All good now.
  13. Hopefully they can parlay that into a Super Bowl berth for once. The odds aren’t great. Try to enjoy the ride. Nothing beats a championship, but winning games is fun too.
  14. Now that the Vikings have lost, the Packers can clinch the NFC North this afternoon with a win over the Lions. Go Pack Go!
  15. Mahomes with 3 interceptions on the day and the Chiefs are still up 30-10. That’s pretty good support for Rodgers being the MVP - no way the Packers would survive a day like that.
  16. The last missed FG probably puts the game out of reach unless they get incredibly lucky. Only 9 minutes left, down 23-14.
  17. Watching the Vikings @ Bucs ... it’s a darn shame that it was so windy when the Vikings won at Lambeau earlier this year. I don’t think they lose in average weather conditions.
  18. How I Met Your Mother is currently in syndication on a local channel around my bedtime. As I go back and watch older episodes, the series finale is starting to make a little more sense. I still don’t like it, but I no longer hate it.
  19. Does he want to be the Packers’ defensive coordinator?
  20. I'd trade the MVP for the Super Bowl win in a heartbeat. Oh no doubt. If I’m being objective, Mahomes is no worse than prime (2009-2014) Aaron Rodgers. He might even be better. But knowing Mahomes has a better roster around him, my heart is pulling for Rodgers.
  21. Mahomes with 2 interceptions already. I really like the guy, but he needs to come back down to Earth for Rodgers to win one last MVP award.
  22. Just about any team in the NFC playoff picture makes me nervous. If Aaron Rodgers turns in a peak performance and defense / special teams play merely average, I think the Packers can beat anyone. But if the offense has a turnover (or two), things could get out of hand quickly.
  23. I feel like we should be rooting for the Vikings so they still have something to play for against the Saints.
  24. The Lakers just won a title with 2 of the top 5 players in the world and a bunch of roster filler. The blueprint is there.
  25. I would go all-in on Harden. Whatever is costs. I don’t think the Bucks can win as constructed, so why not take a chance? If Giannis left, they could still recoup some value for Harden because he’ll have a year left on his contract. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
