  1. I don't think he was worth the money, frankly. For what Khalil Mack cost in terms of cap space and draft picks, the Packers have added Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Darnell Savage, and Rashan Gary.
  2. I think the Dolphins (and virtually everyone else) assumed it would be a pick in the 5-10 range. Good for Pittsburgh. There’s a reason why a handful of teams are perpetually successful.
  3. Rashan Gary had more sacks than Khalil Mack today ... throwing that out there for all the haters. Bears are 1-3 vs. GB with Mack. Worth 2 picks? Sure. Worth the money? Absolutely. Worth 2 picks and a bajillion dollars? Nope.
  4. Few people do. But if you get to January healthy, anything can happen.
  5. Short Answer: No, this team isn’t good enough.
  6. Did you forget to use blue font? Because it should be. I’m betting he’s serious, and he probably should be. This team is far better than the fan base seems to think it is, for some reason. Because it was more fun to kick the crappy of most teams from 2010-2014. But being 10-3 is fun too.
  7. Up 7-3 at half with the ball? I’ll take it. I didn’t think this would be pretty.
  8. Thanks. Williams probably has a concussion ... that doesn’t seem like such a bad rule (especially considering the league’s safety push). 2003 was probably in the middle of the ‘jacked up’ era.
  9. Regarding the punt return and penalty that benefited the Packers: I thought the returner gets a 2-hard halo to make a catch? Patterson was within a single yard of Williams when he caught the punt. Also, FOX had a really crummy camera angle on that play. I don’t know why they insist on filming behind the returner in their live shots. I hope Ervin is OK.
  10. The FOX pregrame show just did a segment on the Patriots sideline scandal. I changed my mind. They were clearly in the wrong and will be punished. It will be very interesting to see if this somehow all rolls up to Bill Belichick.
  11. I have no idea what to expect today. I picked the Packers in Week 1 because I didn’t think the Bears were as good as their 2018 record of 12-4 and I didn’t think the Packers were as bad as their previous 6-9-1 record would indicate. Today, I’m nervous the opposite is true. Enjoy the game, BF. Go Pack Go!
  12. I don’t watch a lot of college football on Saturday afternoons, but I’ll usually have it on in the background. I still follow the big story lines and root for upsets. Unlike most other sports, every game matters. Today, there is college basketball on three of the major networks and I’m bummed. I don’t dislike college basketball. It just does nothing for me. Oregon vs. Michigan is on CBS right now. I wish it were a football game. I put the Winter X-Games on so at least I can look at the neat scenery.
  13. I don’t think anything will come out of it. Just a hunch.
  14. The yardage differential is alarming, but in addition to the TO margin, they’ve been efficient in the red zone. And when they’ve had to settle for FGs, Crosby has hit them.
  15. J’mon Moore was signed to the Browns practice squad on November 25.
  16. And yet I never felt like they were actually in danger of losing the game. I know. Weird season. Oh well. Winning > Losing.
  17. Happy for the Badgers ... thought they lost their chance at the Rose Bowl with that loss to Illinois. Hell, that probably should have cost them the NY6 altogether.
  18. I know games are 60 minutes, but this team was outscored 15-6 over the last 45 minutes by a 3-10 team ... yet somehow are the second seed in the NFC (shoulder shrug emoji).
  19. Guys, you’ve got to fire Granato. You have: - neat history - decent facilities - world-class academics - great fans - awseome campus Minnesota-Duluth (a team you left behind for more $), is stacking natties. Move on.
  20. I was just thinking that. He’s a cancer, but if you can’t sign an all-pro WR and won’t be in position to likely draft one, what is the alternative? Do you roll the dice on a winning culture keeping OBJ in check? I also thought the same thing this afternoon. If they draft defense with their FRP, the guy will just wind up being a turd. Rodgers has 1-2 good years left. Go all in.
  21. I have also thrown around the P word this afternoon. This team will finish 1-2 and lose the division.
  22. BF, I promise I wasn’t always this miserable. Up until last year, I assumed a healthy Aaron Rodgers was good for 10 wins. Eventually, they’d get to the playoffs healthy and add another Lombardi. Then we find out that TT (whom I hold in high regard), was asleep at the wheel (as we all expected) and their 8-consecutive defensive FRPs equal a defense that still ranks in the 20s.
  23. A 34-year-old Adrian Peterson is going to put 100 on the Packers because of course. One more for ole times’ sake.
  24. Please don’t get me wrong. I’m totally with you. It’s been fun watching them win at a 3:1 clip.
  25. Sweet, merciful Lord - thank you for the punt returner.
