  1. It was nice to see them not give up and get the three goals in the 3rd period. The combination of the defensive lapses and the poor play by Rowe was just too much to overcome. The defensemen really struggled at times both with blowing their assignments and the inability to keep the puck in the offensive zone. I think we can still have a nice run in the ncaa tournament - we should be able to play with any team out there.
  2. That Smith restructure is the rarest of all things - a deal that is great for both sides. If they had released him he would have been $8 million in dead cap money anyway.
  3. Isn’t it the analytics that allows you to predict from the spray charts? Therefore the way to “break the pattern” is to change your approach at the plate? Maybe I am misunderstanding something.
  4. https://www.wiscnews.com/sports/college/hockey/7-badgers-recruits-listed-as-players-to-watch-for-2021-nhl-draft/article_3f9584e5-d4b0-58ef-bf0a-8d22e15260fd.html Looks like 1 A rated prospect - Ceulemans. 1 B prospect. 5 C prospects. I didn’t find a ton of other info but only 9 A rated prospects are going to play NCAA hockey. Looks like Michigan has 3 of them.
  5. They tend to do 3 year contracts in the U.K. which is why you see so many shorter run shows - or major turnover in the cast as the actors are already committed to their next projects. The other side effect is you get some very short seasons after the initial few, it isn’t uncommon to see a 3-5 episode storyline as that is all they can get the cast back for.
  6. Here is a list of the incoming recruits: https://www.kenoshanews.com/sports/college/hockey/wisconsin-badgers-mens-hockey-recruiting-tracker/collection_f6ad6ab2-631f-58a7-8fba-a760f5cd2bba.html#1
  7. They have really turned up the speed in the 3rd period.
  8. I didn’t realize the Badgers had more national championships than Big Ten/WCHA championships. 6 vs 3 according to the broadcasters today. Very strange.

    Pizza

I love Rockys! Extra Cheesy Superoni! For a classier pizza - Glass Nickel is quite tasty and always delivered hot
  10. Great points! I would love to see what MLF would do with Watson. We would have a crazy “Madden” style offense. Trading an old star for a young star seems like a really good idea to me!
  11. Sr. was the first major leaguer to hit two grand slams in one inning if I remember correctly. He wasn’t exactly anonymous
  12. Agree. I am sure his agent will discuss it but $8 million is a lot of money to throw away for someone who really hasn’t seemed like that type of person.
  13. And that right there lies the question, how does Hader's value lowered so much vs a SP that isn't elite yet get away with a top 100 prospect easily +? Any big market team who acquires Hader will immediately extend Hader before he becomes a FA. Sorry dropped daughter off before I could finish. The guy has been atop relievers 3years now. This isnt a guy who likely fizzles out after 3 years. He will solve a concern for such team for the next 7-8years maybe longer. He on a HOF track. What barely there top 100 prospect can say they will? A lot of the Hader conversation comes down to perception of value. Like most, I want a haul for Hader but ultimately I do t think that we will get that during the off-season. Need the mid year desperation and “go for it” mentality to kick in. Having said all of that, I would not bet on Hader or any pitcher frankly as being reliable for 7-8 years. No, I have nothing to back it up but my feeling has always been that he will implode and probably sooner rather than later. Hopefully we will have already gotten out “prospect haul” for him before that happens.
  14. Has the contract been published somewhere? Why does everyone assume they know what is in it?
  15. His 2020 numbers are very close to his 2016 numbers in Boston (when they gave up on him). I hope it works out - seems like a very low risk move in any event.
  16. Didn’t Shaw and/or his agent make some unkind remarks about the Brewers when he signed with Toronto? I certainly could be wrong but it seems unlikely he would be back in Milwaukee.
  17. First place!!!!!!!!
  18. Don’t you summon him when you say his name three times? That is a very interesting list, I didn’t really realize how unsettled 1B has been for this long.
  19. I know. I hadn’t posted in 8 years but felt the board was missing the obvious all time greatest minor leaguer in Brewers history.
  20. It is so nice to see them playing well again. I am so old, I still think of the Badgers as a premier hockey program - which we really have not been for a long time.
  21. Agree. I think we get two good years out of Turner but have to pay him for three (or more). I would love it. Urias as the super sub (eventually taking over for Arcia at SS if he turns back into bad Orlando at some point) and this is a solid team.
  22. The most obvious one of all: WOAH SOLVVD
  23. I don't think the Giants will "salary dump" Lincecum at this point. He is extremely popular in San Fran (he received a standing ovation when he ran down to the bullpen in the playoffs). They will wait and see if can find the magic again next year before doing anything,
  24. Good deal. Far better than taking your chances on one comp pick
  25. Or it could mean Greinke to Texas is all but done. Both the Angels and Braves suddenly "moving on" from looking for rotation help. Actually it could mean anything of nothing - that what makes this all fun
