  1. Another nice dig by Prince. One of his best defensive games in awhile, although he did have that Bice diving play on Sunday. Berkman's has great stats vs Ax
  2. Give Wolf a shot to get through the 7th. If he gives up a baserunner, go to the pen. We have a game tomorrow and need those arms tomorrow. Especially considering they both pitched last nigh I think... Dotel looked sharp that inning
  3. We can moan about the lineup all we want, but it is going to come down to whether Wolf has a good game or not. I think having Gomez in there would help him a little bit and I know that there will be 2-3 balls that Kotsay/Plush won't get to that Gomez/Plush would, but if Wolf gets hit hard it won't matter at all. We'll know within 10 minutes after the bottom half of the 1st starts whether we're in for a good Wolf or bad.
  4. Here is what I expect: 1. Weeks 2B 2. Plush CF 3. Fielder 1B 4. Braun LF 5. Hairston 3B 6. Kotsay RF 7. Betancourt SS 8. Kottaras C 9. Wolf P RR has a hunch that Weeks will bat better out of the leadoff spot. There is hardly any variance in Lohse's numbers vs righties and lefties this season (and very little over his career), so maybe that could give RR the hunch that having a Braun/GoGo/Morgan outfield would be beneficial.
  5. We should see if Billy Hall could throw out the first pitch for us! His stretch from 2006-2008 vs the Cards earned him so much more cred than he ever deserved.
  6. 2011 Brewers didn't lose too many games by 1 run, so it hurts. I still think we'll see this team playing on Sunday.
  7. The cold streaks weren't bad, but the hot streaks were really hot.
  8. Fixed, wish Weeks was better, but he hasn't recovered from that ankle, and it is hard to expect much. Same for Luc. He hasn't produced much in the last month. I didn't think that would change. Hart on the other had has been bad with the bat and the glove and has really hurt this team. Luc's defense in the NLDS gets him a pass in my book. Rickie will come through. Hart is in one of his funks that we're all too used to. He gets hotter than heck and cold as heck. He's like JJ Hardy light.
  9. I would've put GoGo out to CF this inning. Why not? Kotsay won't face Carp again regardless.
  10. This is a messed up game. Yuni is hitting lights out, Kotsay can't get out (except by making rookie mistakes on the basepaths) and Prince only avoids DPs by getting IBB'd.
  11. Corey has been in a funk. Someone had a topic on him being the key to the playoffs and he's been outhit by Yuni by a lot.
  12. CANNOT BELIEVE WE PUT CARPENTER AND FURCAL ON AND GOT OUT OF THAT. WOW. CREDIT TO JAY, RR AND YO.
  13. Worry now is that we walk the next couple of hitters. Yo is just off.
  14. That at bat would be ridiculed BIG TIME on these boards if it were a Brewer doing it. Please walk Albert.
  15. This inning isn't shaping up well. Can't let the 9 and 1 get on in front of Jay and Pujols and expect to get out of it.
  16. Nelson Cruz just threw a strike from deep right to nail Cabrera by probably 15 feet on a sac fly. Amazing.
