    I only like these late games on the weekends. Otherwise they keep me up too late. Important to get off to a good start this weekend. I would be happy with 2 of 3, but why not ask for a sweep?

    I know this sound obvious, but it is a little more pronounced with CC because he is so dominent, but he sure is a lot more hittable when he gets behind on hitters.

    CC and Hardy are mired in the same slump...just about the same average in August.

    86 pitches through 7. Not bad for Soup. Maybe they are learning a little something from CC. Love the efficiency.

    Jeff had some lucky charms left in his Soup bowl. He is cruising right now though!

    And washington did well against us back in May. I'm optimistic about the month and this upcoming spell. You're right though Ranier, keep winning the series.

    Wow, it has been a long time since I've felt this good about a win. Friday's win seemed artificial because Atlanta was so out of it. Saturday was a CC/Prince show, but tonight was really a team win. Homer kept us quiet last time, but I am feeling good.

    I went last night and ended my 5 game win streak (going back to Pujols plunking last year). Last night's crowd was so annoying, it made the outcome even harder to bear. Only good part was watching them sit in traffic while I took l'secret' ways to get to MP. Another car in my group left a half hour after us and got to MP 2 hours later. I'm not at all confident about this game or the rest of the series. We had a chance to make a statement last night and just came up short.

    I think Mark A needs to talk with Geoff Blum. From all indications, Blum may own the Brewers. It's so annoying how one player (Soup) can take all the mojo out of a team. Yeah, two of those plays should've been outs, but he was getting hammered and couldn't pitch a strike.

    I'd really love to give Torres some rest today so tacking on a few more would be really nice.

    Braun is unreal. Carlos did make that awesome catch against the cubs last year. Other than that he's pokey out there. Looks like Cubs will have to use some more of their pen today.

    Finally a game we start before the Cubs finish! I think we can keep this going and hope Marquis has a short outing against the Fish. I'd keep Soup on a short leash and maybe give McClung some innings.

    These games are really annoying, but I'd actually prefer these games than a game where we're losing 8-10. It is much easier dealing with terrible hitting than terrible pitching. That said, this is ridiculous. Let's go boys!

    I know what you're saying about the cubs day games followed by our night games. Hunter Pence is so annoying he could play for the Cards. He has 9 career hits off of us and 4 are HRs, two are 2Bs.

    I have an email ready to go out to all my Cubs fans about the season starting to be sent after the crew wins tonight. I'm afraid I jinxed the heck out of them, but I figured we could get to Baacke. I still have faith, but it is running thin.

    What a stupid inning. What a stupid game. When is Cam going to wake up? I always am surprised when I look at his stats, as it seems his average should be well below .231

    Counsel is doing his job too. Braun is doing his job. Eventually one of these hard hit balls is going to get out of here. I kind of hope it is hit by Hall, but I'm not sure he'll make contact.

    Bush doesn't look too rusty thus far. Let's get him some more runs. I'm waiting for the barrage of runs. Not sure it'll happen with this lineup, but we should be able to get a few against Badke.

    Let's not get too high. I'd love to see the Brewers win tonight. But we have taken six straight on the road and three of four so far from StL. This is still a very good team they're playing tonight. I completely agree, but I really feel good about this game. I'm not going to use the reverse jinx until later in the game. There is no way we win this game...
