No doubt you take him if it doesn't cost much. I just doubt that's the case. I think anyone would take Beltran on their team without having to give up much.

Saw a report from Rosenthal today saying that the D'Backs will fill SS in house, and not through trade.

I just don't see Melvin being able to put together the right package to satisfy the Mets. All indications are that they are looking for a lot in return for Beltran. Don't see it happening, especially with all the other teams in the running for him. And if our top prospects are heading out, I want a really good SS or 3B in return. Someone that we'd have beyond this year.
