  1. I agree guys, but Kotsay hit a HR yesterday so in Roenicke's eyes he is a great power-hitting bat.
  2. Yeah, if Gamel is staying up he should start at 3B every day against RHP. I don't care about 3 at-bats McGehee had against Hudson last year. He sucks this year, so he shouldn't play. Also, putting one of our worst hitters behind Fielder doesn't help. Hart, Kotsay, and Lucroy all would've looked better there. With Braun out I guess Hart has to hit 3rd, but still no reason to hit Betancourt 5th. I probably would've went Weeks Morgan Hart Fielder Lucroy Kotsay Betancourt McGehee Marcum if I had to start all these players.
  3. Weeks 4 Morgan 8 Hart 9 Fielder 3 Betancourt 6 Kotsay 7 McGehee 5 Lucroy 2 Marcum 1 Well, pretty crappy lineup. But Roenicke had to get McGehee in there because he had a 3-3 game against Hudson a year ago. Enjoy that 0-4 today Roenicke. Betancourt hitting 5th is also horrendous. I'd rather just have Kotsay 5th, and preferably Gamel.
  4. Pretty sure Gamel would be happy doing whatever he has to do to play and stay in the majors. He'll work hard at it too.
  5. I think Marcum would've made it if he didn't get that hip injury, which cost him the chance at a few extra wins. Ax was just a victim of guys having more saves than him. His performance has been great, just hasn't had as many opportunities.
  6. All hitters in the final votes. No Brewers. EDIT: Nevermind, didn't notice that Ian Kennedy is in there. Only pitcher.
  7. I think it's awesome that Pujols isn't even an all-star now because Prince beat him out in the vote. Haha, yes!
  8. Yeah, Bochy picking three of his pitchers is a little unfair. Oh well I guess, those are the rules.
  9. Well, Rickie made the all-star team. Prince said he'd pick him for the derby is he made it, so he's in. He just said that he's picking Kemp too. So one spot left.
  10. Yes! Congrats to Weeks, Fielder, Braun, and the fans for making Brewers history!
  11. Gamel starting at 3B. I like what I see. McGehee's job is definitely in jeopardy.
  12. So we're probably looking at the same lineup tomorrow now, except Hart will be hitting 3rd instead of Braun. Not great, but could be worse I guess.
  13. Man, that was just some more classic Plush tonight. Unbelievable. The guy is becoming a living legend here in Milwaukee. Love it!
  14. He couldn't be any worse out there than Kotsay. So I say put him in there.
  15. If he goes on the DL Boggs will likely come up again. But I'm sure Roenicke will sit him on the bench in favor of two players he is better than in Kotsay and Gomez.
  16. No, he wasn't on the 40-man roster to start the year. Either way, the option lasts the whole year anyway.
  17. Well, that was anti-climactic. Oh well I guess. Dillard is no big loss.
  18. Yeah, Yuni's 8 for his last 20 so he's doing alright recently.
  19. Kotsay is in the lineup tonight as well. So he's not going out. Might be a pitcher, or McGehee is going to AAA.
  20. 1. Weeks, 2B 2. Morgan, CF 3. Braun, LF 4. Fielder, 1B 5. Gamel, DH 6. Betancourt, SS 7. Kotsay, RF 8. Lucroy, C 9. Counsell, 3B McGehee not in the lineup, Kotsay in the lineup. Let the speculation about that roster move begin. I actually like this lineup a lot. Hart has been slumping, and McGehee is horrible. Niether playing makes this a great lineup. Gamel hitting 5th will hopefully help too.
  21. Hmm, that is interesting. Gamel is also in the lineup, along with Counsell. It's gotta be either McGehee or Wilson if it's not a pitcher.
  22. Seeing as Green isn't on the 40-man roster, and wasn't in major league camp much, it's not surprising to me. Green is definitely looking good in AAA, but that won't necessarily translate to major league success. Maybe they just don't want to throw him right in the fire so to speak. Gamel has been here before, and they know he's capable of hitting major league pitching.
  23. Hey, at least Gamel can hit. Can't say that about McGehee right now. Gamel is very bad at 3B defensively though, but McGehee isn't that great himself.
  24. If it just ends up being Dillard or Estrada or Wilson, that will be kind of disappointing. If it's Gamel, that will piss everyone off because he should be DH'ing the next two games. If it's Kotsay or McGehee or even Betancourt DL by some off chance then people will be happy. If it's Gomez or Counsell, it might be a mixed bag reaction. That about sums it up. So the typical Melvin/Roenicke move here will be to either send Gamel down or send Dillard/Estrada down.
  25. Nobody knows if he got the bonus at midnight last night or tonight. So who knows?
