  1. Well, now I can calm down. Seriously, I though Roenicke was off his rocker. Now I am actually happy with him for removing Gomez from the lineup. Sucks that Plush can't play though. It almost seems partially like they wanna avoid problems with him and the Nationals also. This explains why he wasn't in defensively on Friday also.
  2. Why? Why? Why? I almost just punched a wall when I saw the lineup. How is Plush not playing? At least he got Gomez batting 8th right, but how about you take Kotsay out of the lineup? If Morgan doesn't start Game 2 I will flip out!
  3. Haha, Koslov. That was his one big push. Now he's just a jobber who tags with Santino Marella.
  4. Gonna have to disagree. You can't judge just on errors. He has missed a lot of balls he should've gotten to in the hole and up the middle. I know he has limited range, but he just doesn't put out the effort most SS's do. If he can't simply reach down and grab a ball, he's not gonna stop it. There are some balls he could've dove for and stopped and at least got force outs at second. I know that sometimes he wouldn't make the play anyway, but I'd like to at least see the effort. He has also had poor accuracy on a lot of throws, most of which Prince dug out or saved and made the tag on the runner. He also seems reluctant to go back on balls in shallow left and center. I've seen a few plays where Braun, Gomez, or Morgan has to run all the way in to catch balls they shouldn't have to catch. I'm glad Betancourt only has 2 errors, but I'm not happy at all with his defense, and yes he has been bad as expected.
  5. You think thats the only time hes been bad this season defensively? You must've missed a lot of games then. Lol. But I personally don't blame the loss on him. One play doesn't determine a game, and Prince probably should've caught it regardless.
  6. Nyjer should start both of the games. Gomez and Kotsay can each take 1.
  7. Both games are on FS Wisconsin btw. They just announced that. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. I expected today's game to be rained out anyway.
  8. Should be a good day tomorrow. About 6 straight hours of baseball. Sweet!
  9. Yes, it would make a lot of sense to do that. If it looks like the game might start and stop, we should just start Estrada tomorrow, and not risk wasting Gallardo.
  10. I agree that Prince could've made the catch. The fact that he's short for a 1B certainly didn't help on that play. As far as the throw, after watching it a few times, I'm not sure a perfect throw would've even gotten Werth. He got a huge jump off third, and a perfect throw might have made it a play, but he likely still would've been safe. I think they should've had Prince a little farther in on that play. Oh well, we'll get 'em tomorrow (or Sunday, because it will probably be rained out) with Yo on the mound.
  11. I was so pissed when Roenicke didn't pinch-hit Morgan for Almonte in the 8th with 2 on. And then he also doesn't put him in defensively after that? C'mon man. Then he goes and uses Counsell to pinch-hit to leadoff the 9th when he doesn't have a hit all year, ok? Just some bad moves by Roenicke.
  12. I think the bullpen can definitely survive a doubleheader. Especially with a day off before. Everyone will be available, and Gallardo would be pitching one of the games. We'd probably need the pen for maybe 7 innings tops, and there's a definite chance it'd be less than that.
  13. No way they'd start him there in this weather.
  14. That's stupid to line him up for the 4th and not the 3rd. Now we need to use Estrada again on the 3rd.
  15. Yeah, we'll have to wait and see what happens I guess. I just hope it's not one of those deals where the game starts and stops quickly. Because then Gallardo will be wasted, and that will mess some things up in the rotation.
  16. Yeah, everyone seems to think it's just gonna be a big name team signing Fielder, but I could definitely see a team like Baltimore making a splash by signing him.
  17. Where exactly will you be selling these shirts? And at which games? Also, you should incorporate the Brewers logo on there somewhere.
  18. Idk why everyone is talking about all these weird scenarios. What is preventing them from just playing a doubleheader on Sunday? Like I said, lots of teams have played doubleheaders already. I'm sure that's what will happen. The only reason we didn't just do that with Pittsburgh, is because we play them again in Pittsburgh later this season.
  19. Sounds about right. I think we can all agree that this will happen.
  20. On another note, I'd rather just see them play a doubleheader on Sunday, because if they try to play the game on Saturday, Gallardo could get wasted if he starts and has to stop for a long period of time. I would consider pitching him tomorrow for that reason, but it won't happen. Either way, if the weather is this bad, I'd rather just see the doubleheader.
  21. Pretty sure they'd play the doubleheader. Doesn't make sense not to. There's been a decent amount of doubleheaders already this year for other teams. This would probably hurt our bullpen a little, but really they'd be coming off an off-day, and we'd have Gallardo pitching one of the games. I don't think it would matter that much. Parra might be ready to get activated soon after that anyway. At least this wouldn't mess up the rotation either. Gallardo could still come back and pitch on the next Friday anyway on regular rest. The bright side of making up the game at a later date would be that we could skip Estrada.
  22. Actually, he's sitting on the bench not doing anything. Most managers don't pinch-hit with their catchers.
  23. Seeing as game time on Saturday is 12:05, I think they'll have plenty of time to fit a game in somewhere.
