  1. And now Villy is coming in over Jeffress. That's exactly what we all want to see Macha. Thanks...
  2. Agreed. Like I said before the game started, all I want to see is Jeffress hit 100 on the gun, and I'll be happy.
  3. Macha pisses me off. Narveson has a 2 hit shutout going through 6.1 IP, and then he walks a batter and gets pulled? He only had 97 pitches. He could've easily gotten out of the inning with a comfortable pitch count.
  4. Coffey blows the game just like everyone expected. Except Ken Macha I guess...
  5. Narveson is hitting .341 now. That's really good for a pitcher obviously. If he had better pitching numbers, and maybe a homer or two, he would probably have a shot at a silver slugger for the pitching position.
  6. Possible 2011 lineups in the above 3 scenarios Escobar SS Hart RF Braun LF McGehee 3B Gamel 1B Cain CF FA 2B Lucroy C Weeks 2B Escobar SS Braun LF McGehee 1B Gamel 3B Cain CF Dickerson/FA platoon RF Lucroy C Weeks 2B Escobar SS Hart 1B Braun LF Gamel 3B Cain CF Dickerson/FA platoon RF Lucroy C
  7. Unfortunately, I'm starting to think that Weeks is the top candidate to get traded along with Prince. He recently signed with CC's agent, who the Brewers reportedly had some trouble dealing with. This would make an extension harder, and he also has a replacement in Lawrie a year away probably from the big leagues. I'd rather sell high on Hart or McGehee personally, but I think this is the route the Brewers may go. I doubt Lawrie would take over 2b in 2011, so someone like Lopez would likely be signed as a stopgap in this scenario. What I would prefer is either Hart is traded, and either Gamel takes over RF, or Dickerson platoons with someone, or McGehee is traded and Gamel just takes over 3b.
  8. The better route to go imo is to trade two of our bats for two starting pitchers. Then we'll have 4 solid starters, and can plug in someone like Narveson as the 5th starter. If we have a solid starting rotation we can compete without 2 of our bats. The Giants are competing right now with almost no offense compared to what we have. I think the smart move is to trade Prince and one of Weeks/McGehee/Hart, and avoid pitchers completely in free agency.
  9. No White Finley jerseys, that sucks. At least the Brewer selection is good.
  10. Only time they showed him on TV, he was walking out to the bullpen wearing a jacket. So, nothing yet. I'll keep an eye out.
  11. Yep, WMLW always sucks. I hate when games are on here. I don't get why they don't just broadcast every game on FS-Wisconsin like they do for the Bucks now.
  12. As long as Jeffress comes in and hits 100 on the gun, I'll be satisfied.
  13. Basically what will end up happening is Gamel will ride the bench and only pinch hit, except he may get 2 or 3 starts at 3b to spell McGehee. That's about all I'm expecting from him the rest of the year, unless someone gets hurt. Maybe like 30 or so AB's.
  14. http://milwaukee.brewers....k_mil&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil Here's a quote from Melvin from this article."I don't want to bring anybody up just to sit on the bench." Hmm... Ok Doug, then why did you bring up Gamel? Because that's exactly what he's going to do.
  15. I agree, but Gallardo is too much of a competitor to admit that something is bothering him. Unless he does, I doubt he'll be shut down.
  16. Well, Weeks hit a HR, just not off Chapman. Maybe that's why they took him out though. Didn't wanna risk making him look bad.
  17. I just looked it up and apparently it only took 30 mil over 6 years to lock him up. I'M GLAD WE SIGNED RANDY WOLF. Really? I thought it was a lot more than that? That's shocking actually. That's gonna be one heck of a bargain price for the Reds.
  18. It was registering that high on gameday, and I would think that is accurate.
  19. This Chapman kid is gonna be great. 102 mph on that one fastball. Unbelievable.
  20. Macha wants to make sure he leaves him in long enough to give up a few more runs before he takes him out. 5 just isn't enough.Man I hate being right.

  22. I'm very excited to see Jeffress pitch. It's gonna be great to see a young pitcher finally contributing to our major league team. And throwing 100 MPH hopefully.
  23. Doesn't surprise me. Take away that 9 game losing streak in May and 1-7 stretch in April, and this is basically a .500 team like we all thought.
