Frankly this is a bigger fail on Covey's part. Who knows what could happen to his draft status between now and next year's draft? I would've taken the money offered if I were him. But to each his own I guess.

Well what would say if they offered him what he wanted, if not more. Still a terrible pick. That was my point. Either way it's a big fail.

Well that's another fail by the Brewers in the drafting of pitching. Should've went with a college pitcher so this wouldn't happen. There were reports out saying how much money he was looking for in advance of the draft, and the Brewers obviously ignored that.

Parra will pitch a gem through 5, then blow-up in the 6th and get pulled in the middle of the inning for Coffey who will then go on to give up a few more runs. All of this will happen after we actually hit well off Ubaldo. Thus, we will still lose the game after Parra and the Brewers once again gets our hopes up only to crush them once again.

Yes, but who do you replace him with next season if Fielder is traded and Gamel is playing 1B?I'm guessing if McGehee was traded Gamel would just play 3B. Hart could move to 1B, and then we'd likely platoon Dickerson and Gomez in RF. I wouldn't mind giving Lawrie a look at 3B first though. Although he probably needs another season in the minors.

The fact that Randolph was brought in to be bench coach has always been a sign to me that he's next in line. I know that most people wouldn't want him as manager, but I just think that's what Melvin has in mind. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I would love to see Macha get fired now so we can at least see what Randolph can do here for a little while first.

Yep, one of many this season. I really just want to see Macha get fired, so then we can at least see what difference it makes if Randolph is managing.

This bad luck is bound to even out at some point later in the season, right? What bad luck? Macha left Gallardo in too long, and then Loe sucked as usual. Pretty predictable if you ask me.

And Macha is clearly an idiot. Great job blowing the game. Gallardo shouldn't've been allowed to stay in past the first batter and probably not even past the 7th inning, and Loe has no business being in the game in that situation. Nicely done. Way to blow the game.

I just don't see them sending Cain down, even if it's only for 10 days or so until September. He's hitting so well that it would be hard to justify that move.

I'm guessing a pitcher will be sent out when Gomez is activated. Bullpen will be rested with the off days coming up.

This hasn't been mentioned, but if Cain played everyday the rest of the season he might pass 150 ab's like Gamel did last year and lose his rookie status. I wonder if the Brewers are looking at that situation? They will likely give Dickerson some starts in CF I would assume. -

Does anyone know if Dickerson has options left? The reason I ask is that Gerut's rehab assignment ends on Saturday, and Gomez is eligible to come back on the 18th. Someone has to go, and I know it should just be DFA Gerut and send Gomez to AAA, but I doubt that's gonna happen. -
At least Braun won't be out for any extended period of time.

Yes! That was awesome that one of our pitchers finally tried to retaliate. And then he just strikes him out after failing to hit him. Lol.
