Personally, I don't know why we don't just leave Gamel in AAA until their season is over. He won't get many starts here, except maybe a few in place of Hart or McGehee. Other than that he'll just be riding the bench and pinch-hitting like last year. And we all saw how well that worked.

I'd say those stats are what we all expected. Not meaningless at all, just proves everyone's thinking.

Trade Fielder in the offseason for pitching. Then trade McGehee at the deadline when Lawrie is ready for more pitching. Gamel at 1b, Lawrie at 3b.

That's my guess too, but Stetter has been awful in AAA, so I hope it's Jeffress as you said.

Macha said today that 1 position player and 2 pitchers will join the team Wednesday.

It's $23.00 a jersey if we get 20-49. I'd be in for probably 2 at least.

Nope. Those guys aren't seen as much more than career minor leaguers in my opinion. It would be cool to see Katin, but doubt it happens.

http://brewersbeat.mlblog..._fix_an_ongoing_exp.html I was at the game and noticed this today. I think it's a good idea. Made viewing the game easier for me too from where I sit.

This is why Macha should be fired. He plays Inglett over Cain.

If this was happening, why wouldn't it be announced already? If we don't hear anything tonight, I'm skeptical.

Lorenzo! Stay on the bench Carlos!
  13. PrinceEatMeat
If it gets to the 15th I think Wolf will be in facing those lefties, lol.
  14. PrinceEatMeat
I don't get why Macha failed to use Braddock in the 7th with the 3 lefties due up in a row, and now in the 11th in the same situation.
  15. PrinceEatMeat
Fielder! He's starting to catch on fire!

This isn't cool at all. I don't understand getting rid of Bush now. He has been better overall than Narveson and Parra this year, and actually Wolf too for the most part. I know he wouldn't be here beyond this season, but this really doesn't make sense to happen now. I would rather pull Narveson from the rotation at this point, even with his good start tonight. Thanks for the memories Dave, I'll never forget that playoff win you got us!

I'd probably continue to follow them, but likely not really cheer for anyone unless a team came back to Milwaukee.

Just heard on SportsCenter, Strasburg tore his ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow and needs Tommy John. Looks like he'll miss next season too. Tough break for him and the Nats.
  19. PrinceEatMeat
Apparently BA and Rock think that Rickie doesn't have an agent yet. Guess they don't keep up on their Brewers news very well.
  20. PrinceEatMeat
White Sox. Everybody knows it's inevitable.

I like this move. I much prefer Cappy to Parra and Narveson, and probably Bush as well. If I could keep one of the 4 I'd keep Cappy. Now Narveson should get removed as well.
  22. PrinceEatMeat
    I say trade 'em both.
  23. PrinceEatMeat
Gomez was terrible tonight as usual. Hopefully that makes Macha keep him out of the lineup once Hart is back.
  24. PrinceEatMeat
Good, that's a great move in my opinion. We have to see if he still has the ability to be a consistent starter before this season's over. He won't be any worse than Parra, and if he sucks then we just let him walk in the offseason. If he's good then he could be an option in the rotation next year. I'd rather see him in there than Narveson or Parra personally.
