  1. http://brewersbeat.mlblog...hes_returning_as_hi.html McCalvy confirms.
  2. http://wssp.radiotown.com...ack_as_hitting_coach.mp3 We can also take Sveum off the managerial list. He's coming back as hitting coach.
  3. It doesn't say they are the final two. It says they are among the final 4. Not too surprising. I bet the other 2 are Roenicke and Wallach.
  4. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/105601613.html So much for Listach. He's not a finalist. Crap!
  5. I'd prefer Listach or Wallach personally. I think Listach would allow this team to run, and that could be a huge boost for the offense. On a side not though, has Randolph even interviewed anywhere?
  6. Yeah I was just gonna post this too. Hilarious.
  7. Has anyone considered that we could pick up some prospects fro Prince, and possibly flip them in a Greinke deal? I think that would work out nicely.
  8. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/105359658.html TH chimes in on the situation. Apparently the Royals are officially making Greinke available. I say go get him Doug!
  9. I know that Wallach has been managing in AAA, Roenicke and Cora have been bench coaches, and Listach has managed in the minors for the Cubs. I know all of them have managerial experience, but does anyone have any knowledge on the managerial styles of these guys?
  10. I'd have to say that I'd also be good with one of those 4. I'd prefer giving someone new a shot, rather than go with someone like Bob Melvin. That is a move that wouldn't excite me at all. One of those guys would at least spark some excitement. I'm just glad that guys like Bob Brenly aren't candidates. At least Doug is giving these guys a shot.
  11. I think the only people of those 3 lists that could possibly become our manager are Brenly and Listach. From your list everyone but Torre. But sadly Wallach is unlikely.
  12. I have mine posted on craigslist. Just thought I'd give it a shot on here. There's plenty of other stuff available with it too. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/vgm/1980678570.html http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/vgm/1980694489.htmlhttp://milwaukee.craigslist.org/vgm/1980696995.htmlhttp://milwaukee.craigslist.org/ele/1986088577.html
  13. I've gotta agree with this. All the money to one player is a bad idea. If we spread it to 2 players, they at least still both would have tradeable contracts.
  14. I'm starting to think they'll devote an entire day to Trevor's 600. He'll get a bobblehead, and a big banner somewhere in the stadium. He'll also be on-field before the game for a ceremony.
  15. I could see Bud Selig being the non-player bobble this year. Hoffman is the lock. I forgot that Gallardo never really had a bobblehead so I'd add him in there. I'll change my list to Hoffman, Gallardo, McGehee, Wolf, and either Axford or Weeks probably if he gets and extension. Then I think there will be a non-player bobble like usual. All the sausages have been done, so I think it will be something else. Possibly our new manager or Attanasio. Would like to see Selig done though for sure.
  16. All Bobbleheads: Randy Wolf, Alcides Escobar, Trevor Hoffman 600 Saves, Casey McGehee, John Axford w/ the stache, and Rickie Weeks.
  17. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/103891404.html Gamel getting toe surgery. Out for rest of year.
  18. I wonder if Yount would be his bench coach again if he got hired somewhere.
  19. I could see Randolph having an advantage due to the fact that Attanasio is from the Bronx and grew up a Yankee fan. I know that's not the right way to pick someone, but it still seems like a possibility to me.
  20. Yeah, not a fan of this schedule. Looks incredibly hard, and I'm not looking forward to it. We will get owned in Boston and New York.
  21. I'd say the chances are 0% that he would even listen to an offer from us.
  22. I was thinking the same thing. McGehee has been pretty bad for the most part at 3b this year, and I think with the comments Gamel has been making about how he would prefer not to play 1b, I think management might just see it as an easier solution to keep Gamel at 3b and send McGehee over to 1b for the easy fix. You'd think that if Gamel was tabbed for 1b that they would've given him the game experience there when given the chance.
  23. I'd like to see Lee signed, only because I don't think we'll get the pitcher we want for Prince. I'm right with you guys though in that a 7 year signing is a little too long. I really don't see us having a shot at him anyway, so I think it's a moot point. I think Westbrook is realistic, but Melvin might be trigger shy due to his past failed signings. I think we'll just end up with another 3/4 starter for Prince, and maybe another 3/4 for another one of our bats. That will leave us with Gallardo and basically 3 starts who should be #4's, and probably someone in the 5 spot who wouldn't be in most teams rotations. I hope something better comes along, but that's my guess. Unless we develop some starters soon or break bank for an ace, I don't think our rotation will improve enough to compete.
  24. Sheets isn't even the best Brewer to ever wear #15. Cecil Cooper is. So no, not happening. Unless they do it in honor of both players, which won't happen.
  25. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/102815849.html Prince got scratched with the flu tonight, so Gamel is starting and it's at 3b. McGehee is starting at 1b. Could be an indication for next year.
