No, he is incredibly slow. Whenever he hits a grounder that seems to be a for sure infield hit for most guys, he is usually out by at least a step.

Chipper Jones is gonna hit for the cycle today. Why? Because Anderson and Rock kept saying that he's been having trouble hitting from the right side of the plate lately.

Except he has been doing that kind of thing a lot this year and has a better OPS against with RISP than with the bases empty. This perception that he breaks down mentally just is not true at all. He may have some mental approach issues in general but it certainly isn't him breaking down in tough spots like people like to say it is. It didn't really mean that it was a tough spot. I was more referring to that bad luck triple that Jones got. I figured that it would probably be frustrating for him to have that happen.

Hardy's been fine for over a month now, so I can see why fans aren't on him. But I do agree with you that Hardy could bat .200 the whole year and the fans, and Brian Anderson, would still love him. Mostly fans of the female gender, and Anderson probably wouldn't even know that he was hitting .200. Anderson has a crush on him just like any teenage girl does.

Yes, it's a big step for Manny to be able to step up and get out of an inning like that, and not let it get to him mentally.

Crap. That was the last thing we needed, especially given Manny's delicate mental status on the mound. It's surprising to see a great OF like Cam not just let that fall in for a single. It was obvious that it was gonna take an amazing catch on that ball.

Totally agree with that. Money talks. It always does. Big Z isn't any different than any other money hungry major league player. He doesn't strike me as a guy that would turn his back to all that money and just walk away.

I find this really random. I don't see how a guy can for sure know that he will retire in 5 years. I mean sure, he might retire then, but how does he know how good he'll be throwing then, or how bad, or how he will feel. Oh well, I don't like the guy anyway, and he's a Cub, so I could care less.
