  1. Agreed. Hall is now 0-3 tonight with a K and two groundouts. And he has only one put-out, so the whole reasoning of him being in there because Bush is pitching didn't go as expected just like I thought. Bush got mostly fly balls as usual. It's time for Mat Gamel.
  2. I agree on Hall and Hart, but not Cameron. He at least has a .299 average against righties this year.
  3. And once again we squander base runners. I'm surprised by Cam because he has been great this year. Hart, now that doesn't surprise me. He's been almost as awful as Hall lately.
  4. I don't know how he let that one get by him. I'm surprised by that.
  5. Well, that was his first career HR, and it happened to be a 400+ foot bomb. Pitchers don't do that on a regular basis.
  6. I guess you missed where that ball got blasted off of his right elbow. He looked fine to me, before he threw a lollipop right up the middle to Johnson. I wouldn't blame the elbow for that one/
  7. How can you let a pitcher crush one that hard off of you? What the heck is going on?
  8. Amen to that. I hope this is the end of his leash. Refusing to change anything when he has struggled for over 2 seasons now, especially against righties, is just ridiculous. And I think Hall already has been given every opportunity. There's gotta be a point where Macha should say, either change something and get better, or you're gonna sit the bench. It's as simple as that. Everyone else on this team has listened to everything Dale says, and it has benefitted the good majority of them. Most notably Craig Counsell.
  9. Sure glad Billy is in the lineup tonight. Really needed that strikeout there.
  10. I don't care if he's a gold glover. The point is that he's hitting .175 against righties. Right now I'd take the hits. We need all we can get in that department. Especially against a pitcher as good as Johnson. Bush is also a fly ball pitcher, not a ground ball pitcher.
  11. Yeah, that makes no sense at all. Bush isn't a ground ball pitcher. He gets mostly fly balls. With Suppan pitching maybe I could see that, but not with Bush. It's just them trying to justify having a terrible hitter in the lineup for no reason.
  12. .175/.267/.291, those are his stats against righties this year. That's all that matters here. He has no business getting abs against righties, much less starts. Oh, and also 35 K's in 103 abs.
  13. This is just ridiculous. Bill Hall doesn't deserve to start against anyone right now, much less a dominant right-hander. The justification is that he is 4-6 against him in his career, but frankly I could care less. Macha is turning into Yost with all that crap. Johnson didn't used to be as good, and Hall had that one dominant season, which completely skews those numbers, and makes them unimportant. The point now is that Hall has been horrible all season, especially against righties. Since a righty is starting, Gamel should be starting at 3b. Gamel isn't here to ride the bench, and especially not against a righty. Macha is really starting to piss me off. I guarantee Hall comes up with an 0fer once again, and probably strikes out at least 3 times, but yet Macha won't even pinch-hit for him late in the game, even if it is an important situation. How much worse does Hall have to do before he gets benched for good?
  14. Glavine is going to retire. If we're talking old pitchers, I'd much rather have Pedro, but that won't happen either.
  15. That was worth it to see that homer. Nonetheless, great outing by McClung. Now it's Trevor Time!
  16. Wrong! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I shoulda just went with strikeout. That woulda covered both.
  17. Get ready for Bill Hall to go down swinging again. EDIT: Ok, I meant looking. Lol.
  18. Totally agree with you on Manny, the guy has talent and the team needs to stick with him. DM said that he thinks it would be worse for Manny's confidence to be sent down, makes sense. I can even understand sticking with Suppan, but watching Bill Hall out there is getting really, really difficult. I agree that Parra still needs to get a few more starts to prove himself. If it doesn't work, then Melvin might not have a choice but to send him down. Bill Hall just needs to be benched straight up for Gamel. Gamel can hit lefties just as good as righties, so I say we give him a chance. On another note, that was a great catch by Cam, and Seth had a really nice outing.
  19. Why would we just give up on Manny as a starter? We already have Stetter as our loggy, and Parra could just be sent down to Nashville, and stay as a starter. Yes, McClung is an option as a starter, but I get the sense that the Brewers decided to stretch Dillard out this year for a reason. I think he would be the one getting the call. Why try to stretch out McClung again and have Dillard take his role when Dillard is already stretched out and pitching well in Nashville?
  20. 51 minutes. I also agree that I can understand why Macha wanted McClung to hit that inning, but then you have to pinch hit for Hall there. Don't you remember? Macha is giving Hall a chance against righties still. Lol.
  21. But, I say send Billy Hall on the same flight out with Manny Parra. He has been just awful against any pitcher lately.
  22. That plan doesn't work, because his next start is Sunday, and the off day is Monday. That means his spot would still come up at the regular time, and couldn't be skipped. His spot would be right away on Saturday.
