  1. I think that Jericho will not only be in the Rumble, I think he'll win it and challenge Punk for the WWE Title.
  2. Yeah, 40 was too many. 30 is a better amount. Allows for a better match in my opinion. Not so many pointless entrants and quick eliminations.
  3. This is already being discussed in the minor league forum, maybe these should merge one way or the other.
  4. Yeah, Izturis could be a solid option as our utility IF. Or if Green makes the roster, he'd just be backup SS. I think Melvin will sign a few more options to compete with him though.
  5. As BrewersSuperCollector just said before, I see almost no way that we'll be sellers at the deadline. We'll have to be really far out of the race, which seems almost impossible to me.
  6. Seems like a utility IF candidate to me. Wouldn't surprise me to see Melvin sign a few more of these type of players to have compete for the spot.
  7. My thought is why are we talking about selling at the trade deadline when the season hasn't started yet?
  8. What's really funny is that Betancourt hasn't played anywhere but SS in over 6 years. It should be hilarious to watch him try to play 2B and 3B. In fact, it should be hilarious to watch him play SS now that he's not a Brewer.
  9. http://www.mlbtraderumors...d&utm_medium=twitter I find this pretty hilarious. They just re-sign the guy they wanted to get rid of really badly. Glad he's officially gone though.
  10. Yeah, Toronto does have that money they were gonna spend on Darvish lying around. They could just throw it all at Fielder.
  11. I honestly this the Rangers getting Darvish increases the odds that they go after Fielder. Might as well go all-in to match the Angels. Darvish/Fielder vs. Wilson/Pujols.
  12. This is how I know the WWE is headed in the right direction. As CM Punk said when he tweeted this, "If you can't get behind this, you will be left behind." http://i41.tinypic.com/1zf6jpc.jpg
  13. I'm pretty sure most people here wanted, and would want, Rollins. Mainly because he plays SS, hits at the top of the lineup, and we had Green and McGehee at 3B. It was pretty clear that Melvin made the cleanup spot a higher priority though. I highly doubt Rollins would've signed that same deal with the Brewers. Would've taken more money and years to get him to leave Philly. That being said, I'm a fan of the Ramirez signing. Defense is what we need at SS, and Gonzalez fills that need.
  14. Yeah, TLC was very average just like many PPV's. The only PPVs that are ever good are Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, MITB, and sometimes Survivor Series. And those aren't always good either. I just hope Elimination Chamber is good because I'll be there.
  15. The easiest move if Aoki pans out is to stick him in the platoon in CF and trade Morgan. Pretty simple solution. Not sure what the actual plan is though. There's gotta be some type of plan, or this would all just be a waste of time.
  16. Agree with that. I have stayed out of the thread since the first few pages. So much conflicting information. No way. Morgan is a plus defender. He isn't as good as Gomez but his offense is actually pretty good against RHP. Gomez just can't hit. If Morgan could hit LHP at all I would trade Gomez. I guess I missed the hate for Gomez. I thought it was prety much restricted to DPR and his bad decisions.I disagree, Morgan is fast, but Morgan is not a good defender. He is an average CF that is very bad at going back on balls, and he has zero arm. Gomez defense > Morgans bat. I would trade Morgan over Gomez every day of the week. Agree completely. Morgan is very overrated defensively. Gomez is the far superior defender to Morgan. I'd take the defense in CF as well. Morgan just simply isn't going to hit like he did last year either. No way he repeats that on a year-to-year basis. We caught lightning in a bottle last year, and we could trade him while his value is still high.
  17. The Cubs involvement in this was mainly created by the media. Even Sveum alluded to that the other day. They can't offer the length of deal Boras and Fielder want. They were never really in the race. Rizzo makes a heck of a lot more sense for them in the situation they are in.
  18. Yep....and that means the Cubs won't sign Prince.Yep, even though they never really had much chance anyway. The media has done all they can to make us think they do, but they can't offer the length of deal Boras wants. They were never really true contenders. A guy like Rizzo makes a lot more sense for them financially.
  19. Yeah, I agree with everyone here. Hart will look a lot better to people this year with Fielder gone. More people will realize how valuable he actually is offensively. I wouldn't trade him now. I do agree that most of the people who wanted him traded wanted pitching in return, which we no longer need. Doesn't make any sense to trade him now. We need his offense pretty desperately in my opinion. If it is because of Aoki, then move Hart to 1B or trade Morgan. Hart is too valuable to the team at this point to trade him.
  20. http://www.rotoworld.com/...9/baseball-headlines?r=1 Wow didnt see this coming. Not typical Melvin move.
  21. Yeah, if they swoop in with an 8-10 year offer at the right money, he'll be an Oriole for sure. Wouldn't put it past them at all. I think he'll sign with a team no one seems to be mentioning as a top contender for his services. Not sure if that'll be the Orioles or not though.
  22. No it would be smart to negotiate a huge option year and some type of no-trade clause and sign a big, long contract with an NL team. And when that team can't take his play at first anymore and wants to get rid of him, he will tell the AL teams he wants his option guaranteed before he agrees to a trade. In which case the AL teams won't trade for him, and the team that signs him will be stuck with him playing 1B. What would be smart is if he got a CC type opt out clause, rakes for 3 years, and then cashes in for more. The only NL team that will sign him is likely the Cubs, and they are refusing to give him a long deal. If he signs there it'll be shorter term, and then he'll leave to be a DH afterwards to prolong his career. He should try to sign with an AL team long-term, and then once he has to convert to DH he'll still be making 1B money. This is what'll happen with Pujols, not that he's not overpaid anyway. I just think if Fielder decides to settle for a shorter deal he's doing himself a disservice, because he won't make as much money on the market as only a DH. If anyone out there is offering him 8-10 years, he should take it and run.
  23. Seems more and more likely by the day that he'll sign with the Cubs. It'll be a travesty if he does, but I'll get over it eventually. The situation is what it is. The Cubs will still suck anyway. The Blue Jays seem to be going all in though. They are rumored to have a sky high big on Darvish, so maybe they'll throw big money at Prince too. Honestly, it would be smart on Prince's part to sign with an AL team. It will help prolong his career to be able to move to DH in 5 years or so. The Rangers may swoop in at the last minute like the Angels did with Pujols. That strategy seems to pay off more often than not.
  24. I thought I read that Katin was going to miss 2012 after surgery. But I'm not positive on that one. Yeah, I believe this is true.
  25. According to his comments on twitter, it seems like Hall enjoyed Milwaukee and Boston and would be open to a return to either team. Not that it'll happen, but it's possible. He is in great shape, and has said he has teams interested in him. He'll definitely land somewhere. He's too versatile not to.
