  1. Again, I'm not saying I don't want Jurrjens. Of course I'd take him. There's just no way we'll get him. If we couldn't get Minor for Hart, we're not getting Jurrjens. We'd need a stronger package than that. Jurrjens is worth a lot more than Corey Hart. He's under control for a few more years, and is still young. Pitchers like that are valuable.
  2. Cain and Myers are just two guys they like. They aren't saying that the trade only involves them. Those guys would just be included in a trade for Jurrjens. Others would be involved too. The Braves aren't just gonna give him away. If you think Hart and a mid level prospect would net Jurrjens you are nuts, I'm sorry. Never gonna happen. They are looking for young OF prospects, preferably CF's. They wouldn't even give us Minor for Hart straight up. Jurrjens and Minor are in two different categories.
  3. The fact that you feel you need to see more of all those guys makes me think that TNA isn't worth watching. Those are all guys I would want to see a lot of. I haven't watched TNA for awhile. Was pure garbage the last time I watched it.
  4. There's no way they're trading Jurrjens for Hart. It's gonna take a lot more than that. Obviously you take that deal, that's not even a question. It would take Hart and at least one top prospect, and probably more to get him. The Brewers won't consider that. Jurrjens will go to a team that is willing to give up top prospects, such as the Royals. We already did that with Greinke. Won't happen two years in a row, and doesn't need to. We can't really afford to give up more top prospects at least point, because we don't have many left.
  5. I can say we don't need him because we have 5 solid starters already, and you have to give up quite a bit to get him. I'd rather stick with who we have in the rotation and keep Hart and whoever else might be traded than get Jurrjens. I'm not saying that he's not a better pitcher than guys we have, but we don't NEED him to the point that we should be giving up a lot for him. I don't see the Brewers being a fit for a trade here. Jurrjens will go to the Royals and Prado will go somewhere else.
  6. I'll pass on trading them Hart. Hart is better than Prado, and we don't need Jurrjens. Interesting that Cain could be on the move again. The Braves showed interest in him while he was with the Brewers.
  7. Crap, but congratulations to Cory. Well deserved!
  8. Definitely agree RoCo, his bat will be especially valuable to us with Fielder gone. Assuming he gets over this not being able to 5th crap. We're gonna need him in a run producing spot in the order going forward.
  9. LOL, that's good stuff right there. And all very sad too. Hart definitely has gotten overlooked and screwed quite often.
  10. Teams that need a SS would be the Brewers, Cardinals (will likely keep Furcal), Giants, Nationals (could keep Desmond), Mets, Braves (could keep Gonzalez), Phillies (likely to keep Rollins), Mariners, Tigers (if they move Peralta to 3B), and then I guess you can't rule out the Red Sox. The Giants are said to be more concerned about CF, so likely won't pay big for a SS like Reyes. I don't see the Mets being able to keep Reyes. Therefore, the true competition for Reyes would be the Mariners and Tigers in my opinion. With the Nationals being an outside possibility, as well as the Phillies if they somehow lose Rollins.
  11. If the Dodgers get new ownership soon, they are virtually guaranteed to be in the running. The Nationals have been rumored to be in the running for every big free agent, so they will be too. The Cubs is a question mark. Depends on what Epstein wants to do. I think he'll address pitching first. The Orioles will definitely be in it. I also think the Mariners, Marlins, Angels, and Blue Jays will be in the mix.
  12. Braun is the first OF since Barry Bonds to win 4 silver sluggers in a row.
  13. I agree. They'll have a lot of trouble winning the division over the Cardinals as it is, and they'd have to compete for the WC. If they want to make the playoffs they really do need that impact bat. Reyes would be huge to have in the leadoff spot.
  14. Yes i know, like I said 2 years $7M is realistic.
  15. I'd rather just go with Maldonado.
  16. If Dale Sveum becomes Cubs manager I'll be pissed. I'll be happy for Dale, but pissed to see him managing the Cubs. I'd rather see him get the Red Sox job.
  17. Yeah, Barmes isn't getting $7M per year. Maybe for 2 years.
  18. Yeah, I love Corey, Ueck, and BA. I'll be sad to see Corey go, and inevitably BA too. We definitely are blessed Baldkin, I agree. Some teams just have pure crap for announce teams. I hope we continue the trend of coming up with good replacements.
  19. Yeah I agree. Shouldn't be hard to find a good replacement. Most of the announcers on both TV and radio are complete garbage. I'd be more worried about replacing BA than I am about replacing Provus. Bill is horrible and BA makes up for it. We still have Ueck on the radio, so it's ok there.
  20. I'm pretty sure he'd rather just take the promotion than wait for Uecker to retire. Even so, he could sign a shorter contract or something and come back to Milwaukee in the future. I'd like to see him stick around, but I doubt it'll happen if he gets offered the Twins job.
  21. If the process stays this way, with each individual OF position getting a gold glove, Braun could actually become a perennial contender. There just aren't that many good defensive LFs out there.
  22. It's not that people here who disagree with Braun getting a gold glove think he's a horrible fielder. It's just that they think he's not a gold glove caliber fielder. Braun is a pretty good LF. I just don't see him as a top defensive OF is all. However, since it's now positional, I guess he is in the conversation more. He probably has a good chance to win too given his offensive stats. It would be nice to see another Milwaukee player get a gold glove at least. Although, there have been plenty past players a lot more deserving than Braun.
  23. Honestly, I think it'll be all about the money. Just like with most other free agents. If the Brewers offer the most money, he'll sign and play here.
  24. I agree completely with these two points. My thoughts exactly.
