  1. I've been to 1 Bucks game since 2001, and if the Bucks arena is downtown I will not go either. The only interest I have to go downtown is for the yearly On Deck event, and if there is a concert I really want to see. If the arena is built by Miller Park I can see myself going to a few games. I don't think the winter would stop some people from tailgaiting. It wouldn't stop me. Look at the Brewers artic tailgate where people will camp out for days.
  2. So I know you didn't post this to get a lecture or advice on this but I'm going to give it anyways because what you are doing drives me nuts!!! At least you don't take your windfall and use it on a big purchase. I will give you credit for that. However, if you are using it to pay down your mortgage or car loan, why not do that earlier. If you pay more every month during the year rather than a one time bigger additional payment at tax time, you will pay off the mortgage or other loan sooner and you will spend less money over the life of the loan. Or, if your work has a defined contribution retirement plan that allows employee contributions, you would be sooooo much better off in the long run putting an extra percentage or two into that every year. Anything but letting the government sit on that money all year! Ughhh!! Edit: Not to belabor the point, but if your mortgage company or car loan company told you that they wanted you to pay X amount of $ every month over and above what you already owe, but that they were not going to apply it to your principal balance until the end of the year, would you do it? That's basically what you are doing by purposely paying the government more than you owe them each month. Paying the mortgage or car payment a couple extra hundred dollars a week is good in theory, but it just doesn't work for me. I know I'd piss some of that money away. Having less take home money each week keeps me on a tighter budget, and I refuse to keep a credit card balance. $10,000 at 3.5% for the year costs me about $200 a year. I'd piss that away easily.
  3. I overpay, and overpay by a lot. Its like a savings plan for me. Ya, ya, ya I know I'm giving the government an interest free loan. I'd piss away some, to probably most of the money on something I don't need otherwise. When I get my windfall of cash I pay down the mortgage more, pay off car loans, etc.
  4. I am not a Sabermetric expert. What is the war value that an extra 17-20 million does for the team. I too am frustrated with the Brewers. The inability to play small ball just kills me especially with a runner on third with less than 2 outs and cannot score him. The Brewers had a great shot to go deep in the playoffs. I even had said I had to save money for World Series tickets. Most fans didn't want to trade Jimmy Nelson while I thought the Brewers needed to trade him for help right here right now. In hindsight, if they traded for Davis Price I don't think the outcome would be any different. If the Brewers could have traded for a difference maker 1st baseman such as Justin Morneau things may have finished differently. Jimmy Nelson was a #96 prospect at the start of the year at 25 years of age. He is not a 19 year old phenom. Having Nelson under control gives the Brewers mediocrity for the next few years. I was willing to trade for chance for the 2014 Brewers to be great.
  5. According to the Brewers Promotions and Giveaway page Hank the 'Ballpark Pup' BobbleHank Presented By West Bend | All fans
  6. If you know the section numbers you can click on the section itself on the seating chart and it will show all the seats available for that section.
  7. 5,000 was a number that was published by the Brewers
  8. I was there also, and got there at 8:40. I was able to get a 2014 All Star ball done. The line moved pretty quickly considering all the photos. The line started to form right in front of me. The 2 girls that "started" the line didn't know they were doing it. The girls leaned up against the pool table, and then a family of 3 women went right next to them within a minute. The line just then started to form.
  9. Yeah, I didn't include the $25 fee. I suppose I'll just have to call to see. Did you add it the $5 per ticket fee in also?
  10. Wild Card is the same price as the NLDS. I would assume the tie breaker game would be the same. The costs are listed on the back of your folder. 1st price is season ticket price and 2nd is the gate ticket price.
  11. Where do they advertise these signings? I can never seem to find any info online and only hear about them through this site. At the team store itself, and the John and Cait blog advertises it.
  12. I just received my season ticket info for the 2015 season. 10 more bobbleheads.
  13. I received my playoff packet today in the mail.
  14. I hope I will be able to use the World Series tickets this year.
  15. It's the Brewers. They don't like to bring anyone up until they're 25
  16. Yes he does. Season ends at the end of the month. Better get it out Norfolk Tides 150 Park Ave. Norfolk, VA 23510
  17. Why would someone bother? Platinum
  18. I didn't either. When I'm bored I go through the Brewers all time roster seeing all the players I don't remember. Sometimes I wiki them to see what's up. I stumbled across Bill Bordley. He was a 1976 1st round (#4 overall) pick that never signed. He is now MLB's chief of security. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Bordley
