  1. Any tax implications? What was the value of the prize you won?
  2. [quote name=" I can't sit on the couch and cheer for action on the field' date=' when I know what it has done to Jim McMahon, Jim Tyrer, Junior Seau, John Mackey, Dave Duerson, Al Toon, Wayne Chrebet and dozens or hundreds of others. [/quote] I have no doubt that there are long last effects from playing football. But, every illness in a former players life shouldn't be attached to football. My brother in laws father suffers from dementia just like John Mackey, and he was an accountant for more than 30 years. Michael J. Fox has Parkinson's just like Muhammad Ali. I'm sure Michael J. Fox didn't get it from falling off his hover board too many times. We have seen far too many suicides in society as a whole, but when a former player does it its because of the hits he took. In reiterate, I believe that football does have many life long effects on people. Not every issue in a former players life should be tied to it. I don't think Te'o has any type of brain injury. He is just a young man that got caught up in a fictitious tale that exploded way larger than he could control.
  3. I personally believe he was punked from the beginning. And when he was too far sucked in he rolled with it. The attention, especially publically was too much to get out of.
  4. Does anyone know anyone who has won one of these? Do the Brewers get in contact with you to make sure you accept the prize before its announced?
  5. A lesson we learned was to check out your hospials new born "schedule". Our first child was born at Community Memorial, and at night my wife sent me home as she was exhausted. The nurses there did not keep the baby in the nursery for my wife to sleep. They insisted the baby be in the room and of course she would not sleep. It is protcol at Community Memorial for the baby to be with the mother pretty much at all times. They indicated to this is what it will be like when she's home. I understanded it to a point, but my wife had no chance to rest. Our second child was at St. Mary's in Mequon. The nurses understood fully of the mothers recovery time, and took the baby whenever my wife wanted. Also, something you may not read in a book. When my kids woke up anytime during the night, and I took care of them I would always urinate before I went back to bed. Well, after 2 kids and many nights of getting up with them I found that when they did sleep through the night I still had to go to the bathroom. It took a good 6 months to get back where I didn't have to get up anymore.
  6. I don't think $50 is out of line. I would compare it to a Gamel autographed batting glove. Gamel's would be $15-$20ish. The packers have a much bigger following and collectors than the Brewers have. Also, Crabtree is a Super Bowl Champion which will always make him a draw.
  7. There are thousands of tidbits of advice. My main one is to cherish every second your with them. They grow old/bigger so fast that you don't realize it. I remember being able to carry my daughters in my arm like a football.
  8. What did Tampa get for Price. I can't believe I didn't hear about it
  9. There is a guy on sportscollectors that does the Bucks hotel in which I enjoy reading his posts and pics. I just don't have the time or money for for a hobby anything thats not baseball.
  10. 2 shadow boxes for my Molitor and Yount signed M&N jerseys. Michaels had a 70% plus 25% off black friday sale on them.
  11. No, I wouldn't. It was to be given away to family, friends, customers, etc. I would never be selling them as I just feel it isn't right. I don't know Kent, have seen him, and bought very little from him. But, I don't think very highly of him from this ordeal. Its just my personal opinion and others are allowed their own.
  12. I don't believe there is a neighbor.
  13. Lance Painter OMLB And if you remember who this former Brewers player you are a Brewers Fan HOFer Matias Carrillo OMLB
  14. When I was checking out one of the women cashiers was saying how disappointed she was that she didn't get a Kottaras jersey. She said she had to checkout someone with the jersey and she was envious of it. Probably was you hawing.
  15. Its a shame you didn't get Gomez' full signature of 2 ovals.
  16. Marcum and 2 different uniforms of Grienke player bobbles from the team stores were $5
  17. They had them there tonight. One every 25 puchases, and they were selling them for $20.
  18. Gomez is the worst Brewers autograph and Vernard Morency is the worst Packers autograph.
  19. Your looking at about 100-125. And, your idea of EVERYONE and my idead of everyone I'm sure is different.
  20. These 5 bobbleheads look exactly like the 2012 Opening Day giveaways, but without the sponsor placard. Anyone else get the offer through the mail? This is for 2013 season ticket offer.
  21. I've watched more Bucks basketball this year (120 minutes) than I've watched in the past 10 years combined. This team has been fun to watch with players just moving. This years team just has more energy with the cutting, passing, and defensive rotations.
  22. Old article, but an insight from Rick Schlesinger http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2012/11/12/Research-and-Ratings/Bobbleheads.aspx In Milwaukee, Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger said that in the eyes of fans, bobbleheads have become a permanent part of his team’s culture. The six bobblehead nights on this year’s Milwaukee schedule gave the Brewers a total of 58 such dates since 2006, more than any other club. “Bobbleheads are an attendance driver and a key brand identifier,” Schlesinger said. “They have a high perceived value, high collectibility, and they appeal to every demographic. And sponsors know that people keep these things on their desks at work and next to their beds for years — so that their logo might be the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see at night.”
  23. Would have like to have gone. It was my daughters birthday today, and Gonzaga is tomorrow. November is the month where my bills are tight from vacations in October, projects around the house and multiple life insurance policies due. The November credit card bill is higher for those reasons and I refuse to have a balance.
