  1. You want to save some real money? Then don't get married!!! In jest though... We had a friend do our invitations. It saved a bunch of money. Most people can do their own from their PC.
  2. JM Gold that Green kid that played centerfield(could have had Kotsay)
  3. But, isn't all the other bobblehead games a near sellout after single game tickets go on sale? I just saying that the Brewers can't just throw anyone on a bobblehead and have it sell out automatically. I know there was a thread on this site of people wanting Cirillo, George Scott, Greg Vaughn, etc. If the Melvin bobble game would have been a current player I think it would have sold out/ or been close to a sell out in April.
  4. exactly... even a lame bobble like Melvin didn't draw a sellout on a Sunday afternoon game, Sunday games are far from automatic on sellouts, especially with no playoff hopes in sight... I'm glad the last sausage will be done this year, unless they add a 6th sausage in the future. I want PLAYER bobbles, no more mascots, GMs, or weiners... Aren't they all the same thinghttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  5. Having any bobblehead day does not equate to a sellout. The Doug Melvin bobblehead day had only 30,024 in attendance.
  6. My issue with the bobbleheads is the Brewers don't want people buying and selling autographs of the players. I'm guessing that is why they wanted Fielder to only sign the postcards at On Deck. Fielder had never had a problem getting his autos done. His problem is showing up. lol There is far more money changing hand selling bobbleheads that there is selling free autographs from the likes of On Deck, Autograph Fridays, and the block parties.
  7. Don't jinx it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I don't want 4 more bobbleheads like the Braun w/ Uecker talking.
  8. A regular Molitor $20-25. I've seen the blues sell between 60-100.
  9. There is still plenty of time to make a Gallardo bobblehead. I thought maybe a full size Counsell one was coming.
  10. Sabathia signed quite a bit last year at spring training TTM. Prince has signed a few here and there. As with anything you send TTM. Don't send anything you would want to lose.
  11. I thought about getting my pic of the bomb signed, but half the players are gone now. At least of the players that played in that game. Is there a way to find out the 25 man roster on that particular day?
  12. Hoffman hasn't signed much( a few here and there) since 2006 TTM. Gorman is 11% Randolph is at 30%. He hasn't signed in 2009 , and before that he was personalizing. You should pay $15 for sportscollectors.net. It will save you much more money in the long run if you plan to send TTM.
  13. That wasn't me. I seen Gorman go through and I have enough of him. Then I seen Vaughn coming, and you were there with your brick. I was in line for Zaun. I just printed the Vaughn 8x10 the day before knowing he was going to be there. I grabbed it and walked over. I would have rather had a ball signed, but the photo was right on top of all of my stuff. Vaughn would kind of size you up before he would sign. He took the 8x10 and then looked me up and down(all dressed in Brewers) then signed. I thanked him for coming back to Milwaukee. I thought the free autos, as first advertised would end up being Vaughn, Cirillo, and the usual Gorman, Augustine, Hisle, Sanders, and Gantner. Hisle was at a table signing, but that was all I saw.
  14. You're totally right. I never get to check out the rummage stuff until it's pretty dwindled so got over there right away, and think I made the most of it. I'm happy for you guys that you were able to get Yount! Gettting Vaughn was pretty great too, as he was probably my second favorite Brewer growing up. You and the rest of your party were great company in line. Still gotta figure out the significance of that Escobar ticket stub, or I'll try to get my money back from that guy http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I think the seller thought that was his 1st hit. His 1st SB came August 12th, 2008 while pinch running. His 1st hit of 2009 was August 13th. His 1st hit was 9/03/08. 1st HR 8/23/09.
  15. Bikeage77, What about the people behind you in line. We didn't discourage you from getting Yount. You would have made it easily. I also chatted with BiilyHallFan there. I assume I seen tnweill get his brick signed by Greg Vaughn, but I didn't really look at him as much as the brick being signed. I dragged my wife and we ended up getting... Yount signed on a 16x20 World Series picture Yount signed SI Doug Davis OMLB sweetspot Jody Gerut OMLB sweetspot w/ROY inscription Josh Butler OMLB Greg Zaun OMLB Mitch Stetter 8x10 John Axford OMLB LaTroy Hawkins OMLB Alcides Escobar 8X10 which Escobar wanted me to give to him Mat Gamel photo card which I gave away. I have enough Gamel autos Greg Vaughn 8x10 Larry Hisle photo card I wasn't able to check out the rummage areas, and the grab bags didn't interest me this year.
  16. Where does all this money come from. Doyle just keeps putting this state in a deeper hole. We as a state are beyond broke.
  17. There won't be 20,000 people. If you go and try to purchase a ticket for the event online the number 6000 something comes up.
  18. Lets put the $40 for Braun's autograph in perspective. The last 2 weeks of completed auctions of Mikita from ebay yield... Braun autographed baseball with #8... $42 and $43.51 (plus $8 s/h) Braun autographed 2008 AS ball....49.99 and 50.99 (plus $8 s/h) Braun autographed 8x10 ...no bids at 39.99 (plus $8 s/h) And these come with the Mikita certificate.
  19. BHF, Braun stopped personalizing at the Block Party last year because he was running out of time, and wanted to get through the line. The bus he was on was waiting for Felipe Lopez to show up and they were late.
  20. You can sell anyway you want, but I'm just telling you that I won't even look at items if there isn't a price listed. I'm sure there are others like me also.
  21. Bragan was a very good signer for the fans, and a military vet. RIP
  22. As seen a few years ago the umpires union is not that strong. They were broken before.
  23. I think it was a mutual understanding that Hoffman wouldn't be traded to a team that would not use him as a closer.
  24. What about on August 25th when the Brewers were 11 back. How about getting something off waivers for them.
