  1. I think it should be. the brewers front office should raid the cardinals or braves for some top assistants or scouts. they consistently draft in the middle to end of the round and do great with their picks. they also are much better with international talent.
  2. apparently the royals are interested in morales and would need to clear payroll to get him. article mentioned billy butler getting traded to make room. would be a nice move for Milwaukee.
  3. I say cut overbay and bring up morris now.
  4. If you get revere, do you have Braun go back to LF? Ryan's been OK in right but certainly hasn't been great and revere is the better fielder. Davis has more power but revere would score more runs. Khris for Ben?
  5. Selection #21- Cleveland Indians Jacob Gatewood- SS Huge power but his swing is a bit long. I really doubt he stays at ss (especially with lindor in the tribes infield for years to come) but his bat and range would play well at third. exciting player.
  6. if gallo was an option..... yes, you take a chance on gallo. even if he only hits .250, he'll still hit 45 homers. his power is insane. with the rate of pitchers going down to TL surgery- guys like fiers/Estrada/Thornburg/Gallardo will have MUCH more trade value then you'd expect (Gallardo might be the only pitcher we have that could get a guy like gallo though).
  7. Arenado is a total beast! nice gap hitter with 20 HR power and an amazing glove at the hot corner. definitely a guy to keep an eye on, he'll be a star.
  8. Selection #7 - Philadelphia Phillies Tyler Beede, RHP, Vanderbilt Nice size at 6'4-215. Three solid pitches with a fastball that'll get up to 96-97, nice downward curve ball, and a plus-plus change up.
  9. who said anything about getting a lawrie-type prospect for Estrada? going into 2011 baseball America had him at 40 and IIRC many other lists had him a top 25 prospect. there's plenty of guys 50-75 that I don't think would be outrageous to think Estrada would get in return (nick Williams, arismendy alcantara, matt Davidson, devon travis, etc..).
  10. I may be a little bit of a homer on this but Estrada is easily one of the most under rated starters in the league. to say that he wouldn't get anything more then a Delmonico type is ridiculous. he's an above average starter and would be a quality 4 or 5 on any staff. i'm not saying he should get a top 20 prospect in return, but he should definitely be worth a 75-100 guy.
  11. I think I saw something the other day saying the brewers were one of like 5 teams that made an offer over 60mil for him.
  12. really surprised arcia isn't repeating Wisconsin. after hitting .250 and still being just 19 I figured he'd for sure be a t-rat again. do you think neuhaus will be at short in Appleton?
  13. jean isn't even eligible for arby for 2 more seasons. suggesting shopping him is jumping the gun. let him make 500k for the next couple years and see where he stands. maybe arcia hits his potential or a draft pick this year flies through the minors. not that either is super likely no need to add another contract to hinder budget for a few years if he's rickie 2.0.
  14. they should have a hank bobble, but don't make it a sga. sell them in the gift shop with the proceeds going to the humane society.
  15. Arizona seems kinda desperate for a starter with Corbin out and them not wanting to start Archies clock. They are shopping didi but that's not something we'd need right now. After signing Garza, not that we have a surplus of great pitching, we have a couple guys that could very well be major league starters that will be in AAA. Could Thornburg or Fiers be a target for them? Getting a guy like Jake Lamb would be a pretty nice return for either of them.
  16. it wouldn't be all that hard to find some better choices then doing the league president and another prince fielder. hell, they did a Gallardo a couple years back and he only played 2 games for the snappers. better choices for snappers bobbleheads- mike kinkade/ bill wegman pat listach/ jim gantner Geoff Jenkins/ troy o'leary john jaha/ dale sveum Ronnie billiard/ cal eldred jeff D'Amico/ Fernando vina bill spiers/ manny parra me/ carlos villanueva jj hardy/ Wilson ramos Oswaldo arcia and you could probably put at least 10 more on the list. it doesn't take much to think outside the box a little with stuff like this.
  17. maybe they figured if they gave out a bobble of the president of the league, they'd get the league off their back about how terrible the stadium is. they would have been better off making one of the guy that has been selling 50/50 tickets for like 20 years. people might actually know who that guy is.
  18. Hopefully not. I'd love a Miguel Sano or an Eddie Rosario bobble. I'm ready for them to be done with prince and Rickie.
  19. Having 5 prospects at 100-150 kinda makes me feel better about only 1 top 100.
  20. I'm betting haniger cracks more then a couple mid season top 50 prospects lists. He's following a really good fall league with a hell of a spring training. Hopefully it carries through to AA.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised to see segura get something in the neighborhood of 7/45. I don't think he's going to get as much as Simmons but its still a very good deal.
