  1. I am going to say this again but Durant is the greatest player in this current generation. Durant isn't greater than LeBron. It's not close. He's a prolific scorer, and an outstanding shooter from anywhere, but he doesn't come close to James on the defensive side of the ball. Bucks fans that have watched our team struggle to get out of the East should be in awe when reflecting on some of the teams James took to the Finals. And some of the teams were very good, but getting to the Finals 8 years in a row is ridiculous. Durant had a better season than James and has always been really good, but claiming he's greater than James is the definition of recency bias.
  2. I had the same visceral reaction but the minimal time he has seen, he has done a nice job both times. He went 3/3 on threes in Game 6 of the ECF and when he did play on Wednesday he had a nice fast-break to the basket and drew a foul. But yes, I still agree.
  3. +/- isn't my favorite stat. I find there's a tendency to lock into it and not acknowledge that some of that is coincidental or affected by something else going on at the time a certain dude is on the floor. Ex) was Pat on the floor a bunch while Booker sat? I thought Lopez had a nice game. On a night we didn't shoot at all, 14 in 19 minutes is pretty efficienet.
  4. Just an odd game. The Bucks were outshot 55-38 pretty late into the evening and then it leveled out late at 51-41. The Suns blocked 9 shots to the Bucks 3, but the Suns turned the ball over 17 times to the Bucks 5. Rebounds overall were somewhat close, but the Bucks destroyed then on the offensive glass. The turnovers helped wipe out the shooting mismatch. There was some FT disparity though nothing quite like game 1 and the Bucks were pretty excellent at the line going 24/29. I'd say the Bucks will probably shoot better than this again, but I also don't think the Suns flirt with 20 turnovers at home.
  5. The commercials are worse in football imo because they directly interfere with the pace of play. If they take 2 minutes or 3 minutes between an inning it really makes no difference to me as a viewer. Occasionally you'll have a ridiculous stretch watching an NFL game where like 8 minutes go by and 23 seconds have come off the clock. Timeout, commercial, run play, flag, officials talk for a minute, command center guy babbles, oh, wait, official decided no flag. Coach is mad, he has to yell for a while. Ok, here's a play. Ooh, nice catch...or was he out of bounds? Let's take a look at this upstairs. There are sequences in almost every game where I just want to throw a brick at the TV not because of a particular outcome but just because of the pace, the obsession with getting every detail "right", and most of all, the number of times this obsession still leads to a wrong call. And if I had to single out MLB's biggest problem, I wouldn't even look at pace or duration. I'd say it's simply how inaccessible the local teams games are for most people.
  6. Pat is fine. He's brutal to watch defensively at times, but I didn't have an issue with him tonight because nobody other than Khris was really hitting any shots and he had a couple threes. The goat tonight was Jrue. He had a big board at the end but c'mon man, at some point feed the hotter hands. You don't have to shoot 4-of-21 or whatever.
  7. I sort of feel like the Bucks either win this in 6 or they don't win it at all.
  8. Absolutely huge block from Giannis down the stretch. Beating that team while they outshoot you by 11 percentage points is crazy.
  9. NBA officials do this for all star players basically all season long though not quite as blatantly. They let you get away with a lot after your 4th foul.
  10. If we lose this game, Jrue is the reason. My god. Stop shooting, 10 shots ago. Be a distributor.
  11. The one guy with the guts to shoot shouldn't be shooting.
  12. To drown out the Suns fans counting. Holiday is currently 4/17 and 0-4 from 3 for the record.
  13. 55-39 shooting advantage. Someone has to turn the magic on here and I don't think it's Giannis.
  14. There is literally no one on their team doing a thing besides Booker.
  15. This is getting ugly. Someone has to show up because Booker is taking this game over.
  16. We are getting some gifts from the zebras. Maybe not outright gifts, but they are using their whistles. And we've still got our hands full.
  17. Missing a bunch more shots early in the game will do this. It started to even out once the shooting did.
  18. I'd say the Bucks didn't play well in the first quarter and haven't played great, and the Suns have played a little better but also not very well. Both teams looked off to me.
  19. I think we were around 50% in the 2nd quarter. We are doing OK. Hopefully we can get a run going to create some space in the 3rd.
  20. Looks like Giannis isn't scoring 45 tonight so a couple other guys need to score 25.
  21. Oddly feel good about this game. Absolutely horrid shooting and ball handling and down 3 somehow.
