  1. There was one particular play in which Booker "drew a foul" but prior to doing that, traveled so blatantly right in from of an official, my jaw dropped when nothing was called.
  2. Yeah I just won't agree that the missed bunnies didn't hurt significantly. You can't just tack on missed shots to the box score and go "well that only made up 8 points." The flow of the game matters in the NBA. If you're up 4 instead of down 4 after one, that matters. If we get fouled on 3 or 4 of those, their rotations are affected. Then there are the FT stats and 3PT FG made, both of which were skewed our way after we were down double digits. So yes, I do think that the bunnies and the FTs is what ultimately decided the game. Maybe not decided, but took what should have been an exciting finish and made it rather duddy. I'll give PHX credit though, they make their open looks and at least last night, were much crisper with the ball.
  3. It was worse than the box too, a lot worse. We made up some ground in garbage time. The NBA has a way of balancing that out from game to game.
  4. I felt there was some obvious hesitancy from Giannis. Don't know if that's being hurt or just being rusty. He looked sloppier than usual while finishing and going after loose balls and not quite "there" defensively. Could just be that I was looking for it, but it didn't feel like he was all there.
  5. I don't know why people continue drawing super broad conclusions from one game. The Bucks have had games this playoffs where they look absolutely awful. It is normal. The Cavs went up 2-1 on GS the first year and got blown out 3 times. I've heard the "but the Bucks looked good and still lost," and...I don't think we were watching the same game. The Bucks may lose, I mean I predicted Suns in 5, though I thought Giannis wasn't playing or was badly hobbled. I think this is going to go 7. I'd still give the edge to PHX, they just seem to have more reliable shot creators and a nice big man to complement it, but let's see how G2 goes. Everybody wanted a split going to MKE and that's still totally in play. We were going to lose games this series and I don't really care how they are lost, personally.
  6. The FTs were the game basically. Not only did they shoot more but they missed one. That and missing layups in the first half. I think they are probably the better team, but I am not giving up yet. I don't think we can go 0-2 with these guys though. Not unless somebody gets hurt of course.
  7. Would have liked a less boring game. Oh well.
  8. Bucks aren't getting a lot of calls, but some of the discrepancy is the result of driving vs. standing, dribbling, and shooting.
  9. To be fair we have not attacked inside all that well. If I have a reservation about Giannis right now it's that he hasn't looked like his usual aggressive self. Several plays in the first half where he finished soft and tried to pass where he usually finishes.
  10. I hope Middleton doesn't waste a good game in a 20 point loss.
  11. He needs to gets his lungs back under him. I'd keep him out there too a little while longer.
  12. We're down 10 instead of 16? It doesn't work that way. The whole flow of the game changed if we hit some of those. We've also shot 6 free throws. I know you are a hard swinging pendulum guy but I promise we don't lose each game by 20. And I'm sorry but no, the Bucks are not playing well.
  13. We can doom and gloom this all we want, if the Bucks hit 60% of those bunnies early on, the whole complexion of this game is different.
  14. They're not having a bad game, that's the problem. They're just not as good. ^This. I dont think the Bucks get swept, but it does feel like the classic, "one step forward, two steps back" kind of game. Defensively, I can live with the mid-range and paint shots. Offensively, they look incapable. I don't know what games you guys are watching but the Bucks look far from good thus far. How many shots from within 3 feet did we miss in the first half?
  15. They're down 8 on the road in Game 1. It's fine. They will have bad and good games in this series, hopefully one more good than bad.
  16. I think this is good, but we are down 3 and it feels like 17.
  17. I'll take that opening quarter on the road all day.
  18. Yeah I'd have started him. Learn quickly if he can't go.
  19. I'll trust they wouldn't activate him if they thought there was significantly higher risk than usual. I hope the team feeds off his commitment though, what a warrior.
  20. It's a warm up. I don't think he going balls to the wall and I don't think we know what any of it means until he actually plays and we can see how he looks in a game. I think it's dumb for him to play tonight. At least see how they look without and if they can split the first two, you basically bought him another week.
  21. I'm a little over the Nets injury excuse. Those guys barely played together all year, Kyrie is a walking injury waiting to happen, Harden is out of shape and KD is turning 33. I've noticed their fans can't wait to get healthy, however expecting those three guys to ever get through a season without being hurt seems like a big wish at this point. The Bucks pulled past ATL because of something Brooklyn couldn't do: our role players stepped up, theirs disappeared.
