  1. The Jrue = Bledsoe thing is just low-hanging fruit that people say when frustrated that he isn't shooting well because they were traded for each other. If they had released Bledsoe and signed Jrue 2 years later it wouldn't be a thing because the two are a mile apart. Is he the needle-moving Wade to Giannis's Shaq? No, but it's not his fault the Bucks acted like he was. He's a very good player. He's strong, long for his position, a heady defender that does lots of things well and is a bit streaky of a shooter.
  2. Kaminsky is probably done. He was awfully close to done the first time PHX let go of him.
  3. I think it's happened only once with Jerry West. Chris Paul would most likely get it just because of his career arch, but if Giannis keeps scoring 40 points a game while pretending his leg doesn't hurt and it goes 7 it's within the realm of possibility.
  4. Giannis may win the Finals MVP even if we lose if the series is competitive enough.
  5. The one thing we have going for us is that they literally can't stop Giannis. So it should at least give us a chance each night.
  6. These camera shots are only going to cause more and more people to head down there. It makes me want to go down there and be apart of it…. And I’m probably double most of their ages. So am I. I'm glad I went once but I won't be going back. It's really a pretty lousy way to see the game, but the atmosphere is cool...if they win. Game 6 was perfect because I figured if we lost I'd catch 7 at home.
  7. These camera shots are only going to cause more and more people to head down there. They're going to have to do crowd control soon. It was getting iffy the second half of G6 and I had some friends telling me tonight was out of control and they went home to watch the 2nd half.
  8. I actually think all the remaining games have 2 off days between other than 6 and 7.
  9. The Deer District is flirting with a hazard. There are a LOT of people down there with no room to move. It is far worse than G6 of the ECF.
  10. Sounds like this is 90% conjecture and 10% reality.
  11. I get the joke but putting in this way makes me realize how bleak this is.
  12. I'd want it broken out by eras. It feels more likely to happen in even the last decade than the 90s and even more likely than in the 60s or however far back the stat goes. I've seen the Bucks come back from 0-2 and blow 2-0 just in the last 3 seasons. I've seen the Warriors blow 2-0 and 3-1, I've seen the Heat win a title down 2-0. Maybe it's just that those stick with you.
  13. Based on what though? Does that include 8 seeds coming back against 1 seeds? 7s coming back against 2s? That's why I think it's dumb.
  14. Admittedly I don't have a great grasp on this stuff, but I feel same about it the other way. The Suns are an 89% probability to win the Finals right now, really, 89? I could get like 70, but the leads I've seen blown in a series just in the last 5 or 6 years or so just makes it seem high. Also that the Brewers are like 3% to win the WS but the Dodgers, who may have a play-in game that they can easily lose, are 27%? I am in no way suggesting the Brewers are better than the Dodgers, but those calculators have always seemed fudgy to me.
  15. The Suns have been disrespected from the start of the playoffs with basically every large outlet picking LA to beat them. Yes AD got hurt but it happens. The Clips played their way out of #2 to avoid the Lakers, probably partially due to the Lakers getting 7 home games against them. But PHX has just played. And they have been pretty dominant.
  16. The "hoping a team won't shoot well" thing has, for the most part, been what has happened. ATL eeked out one game with Young scoring 50 points, then won a blowout after Giannis got hurt. In several of their losses, Young didn't shoot all that well. They won the two games they shot 50%, and shot OK in Game 5, but Middleton took the game over. KD had the crazy game 5, but the Bucks still went 4-1 in the last 5 games of that series once things leveled out a bit and BKN dipped into the low and mid 40s and out of the 50s. Their lows weren't as bad as ATL's. I think it's probably accurate to say PHX will have a bad shooting night soon. But these games haven't been all that close. We're basically down 10 the whole time and have a small late rally in both.
  17. I'd put money on the Bucks to win Game 3 but at this point I would not put a dime on this going 7 games. When you out-rebound, block 7 or 8 shots, don't turn it over, double their margin in the paint, and shoot 45%...and generally don't come within 10 points, you're in trouble.
  18. Bucks may as well camp out at the 3-point line defensively at this point, because looking at the box score they should have won last night, until you get to 3P%. The "let the other team shoot 3s" dead horse is beyond decaying, but against this specific team I think it has merit. It's one thing to get beat by catch-and-shooters, but you can't let Chris Paul and Devin Booker square up a three for 2-3 seconds...and Booker was 1/8 in G1.
  19. FWIW they barely beat the Nets in Game 3. I thought, cute, we won a game. I definitely thought that series was over though. And I think this one probably is too. Don't see us pulling that off twice in one playoffs...and we got an assist from the injury gods. I agree that I'm definitely glad we got here, and I'll go further to say if we are going to lose here I'd rather get crushed and see it unfold slowly in 4 or 5 games than go down in game 7 at the end.
  20. IDK, I think the Bucks are a top team, clearly, and could have had better results with the Clips, Utah, whoever...but I think this matchup is a real problem for them. Too many shooters that don't miss decent looks, a strong big man, and Paul who can do pretty much everything. In this specific matchup I think they are quite a bit better than the Bucks, but they're not a mega team. It's always about the matchup. They were probably lucky to get the Bucks in that sense.
  21. Game 2 with the Nets was such a laugher it was easy to dismiss. The Bucks weren't bad tonight IMO. I thought they played much better than Game 1, and the result was basically a copypasta. One dreadful quarter, down most of the game, cut the lead for 2 seconds and then collapse. They just appear to have bumped into the wrong team. There's a 6-8 point hump they just can't get past.
  22. I think we'll win Game 3 and rope people back in only to lose Game 4 and 5.
  23. Middleton should be embarrassed. Giannis is a week removed from what people thought was an ACL and drops 45 points.
  24. I mean, it probably would have cut it if PHX hit 40% and not 50+
