  1. The Bucks would have won last night regardless of what happened to Young. It's a convenient excuse for Atlanta and their fans. That team can't beat the Bucks without Young scoring 50 points and even then, it's a toss-up. With their last breath, the Bucks left him all alone in the corner and he bricked a wide-open three. Giannis has a sore calf; these guys are 90 games in. They're all hurt to some degree.
  2. Game 2 was over shortly after it started and those laugher games are easier to write off than shooting 50% most of the night and being unable to go up by 7. Most people seemed frustrated with the Bucks last night not getting over the hump, I thought ATL was for the most part playing as well as they could have, with Galllinari hitting fadeaway jumpers, and couldn't get us to go away. Early in the game I was encouraged by Middleton hitting shots, which I thought was a good sign if he had to win the game in the 4th. My gut feeling is the Bucks win this in 5.
  3. I just don't think it's spoiled when you're sometimes a bad call or stupid decision away from the championship and continue to do that for years and years. The Bucks, I just chalk most of their failures up to growing pains. But the Packers should have had 2nd title, at least a Super Bowl appearance after 2010, and they should probably have at least two. It's all relative. The Bengals or Football Team would be saying the same thing if they'd come close and lost for 10 years.
  4. Also: It would be really nice for downtown if the Bucks could win this at home.
  5. I dunno, I thought the Bucks looked pretty good last night save for a few bad stretches that happen in basically every NBA game. They weathered the home team's hot start and pulled it even fairly quickly, then hung around by single digits all night. I felt pretty good the way Middleton was shooting that he could close the gap in the end. Basketball is the only sport where I almost get more anxious with a lead and too much time left than I do with being a few points behind. The Bucks shots weren't falling early in the game and they did a nice job of exploiting the inside to keep it close. I'd let Atlanta run a shooting contest any night. They'll win a game or two but they won't win 4/7.
  6. I think this one will be pretty demoralizing for ATL.
  7. I get it but Giannis is shooting FTs pretty much at his season average for his last 40 or so. He's hovering around 70 but not sure exactly where. It's not good, but he's elevated out of Shaq territory.
  8. Yo! Now we can breathe for Game 4. We probably end the series if we get it, but we don't HAVE to get it.
  9. Well yeah, if you count the ones Middleton took after my post. We gained about 19 percentage points since I posted that.
  10. Not really. They started off shooting insane and cooled off. We're 7 for our last 15. The 3 point shooting gap has narrowed considerably and it hasn't made a difference. That's why we can't just look at things from a "once this evens out we'll be good" perspective, too many other factors in play. Not really? They had hit 14 threes. That is literally why they've been ahead most of the game. Their threes are worth more than our 2s.
  11. We are winning the glass by 10 and nearly doubling them in the paint. Problem is they've hit 14 threes and we are cold. I still think we're going to pull this out. Hope anyway.
  12. I've hated this play for a really long time. I'm sure someone was doing it first, but Cassell really thrived with it and it seemed to really explode after that. It just feels lame. Like Rodgers drawing people offsides, which I'm also not a huge fan of.
  13. I disagree. It feels like one we're going to hang around and then steal in the 4th.
  14. Eh, I feel pretty good about this one. They have no interior answer. Just keep doing the same thing. Giannis should have 50 points.
  15. Atlanta really whines for calls, and they don't wait for stoppages to do it.
  16. No, Marv, that's not 7 foot Lopez. That's Connaughton.
  17. Middleton is shooting well so I think we'll be ok.
  18. Can't be this bad for 48 minutes, right?
  19. No. Why would you want this unless you are a Bears or Vikings fan. Well, I'm half joking, but I don't think the Packers are going to the Super Bowl this year regardless, not for any defined reason, just that they had 2 semi-close shots and getting a 3rd straight seems unlikely. Rodgers not playing as well this year seems likely. On paper, the team looks very good, but things just seem to go wrong eventually. I've accepted they probably have some down years coming without Rodgers anyway. So while the ideal scenario is that they win the Super Bowl, I'd take some satisfaction from Lord Aaron having his ego checked by just playing terrible football and the team deciding they don't want him to play. Then he can finish washing out for Washington Football Team or something.
  20. Exactly. Not to mention as Hollinger has pointed out - this isn't something refs called all year so why are they making an issue with it now? This and the constant discussion of Giannis shooting 3s - we get it they aren't his best shot - has made Reggie Miller almost unlistenable. Trae young turns it over 9 tea and misses a ton of bad 3s and Reggie says almost nothing. Giannis takes 2 3s when we are up 30 and he talks about it for 5 minutes. This is the thing I don't really understand. Giannis isn't a bad 3P shooter. He's OK. There's definitely a time he should knock it off, but him taking the occasional 3 is fine. There are lots of players better at driving to the hoop that take random 3s. I think when it looks bad is when they give him 10 feet of space - he should use that space to drive.
  21. Even series and nobody played much more than 30 minutes. I'll take it.
  22. The Bucks are just better. Not 40 points better but better, and if they lose to this team they blew it.
  23. I'm hoping we get 2019 Celtics series out of this.
  24. This is exactly what we had to do. But reminder that Philly was destroying them in Game 5, by about 25, and lost.
