  1. The Packers in general need to start generating turnovers. They are #1 in the league with 2 giveaways; entered yesterday with 0. They are 15th in differential at +1. A few big plays would make that defense seem way better than it has looked.
  2. If the secondary is even decent, which I think it is, it would seem more logical to send more guys and give the strength of the defense a chance to make plays/hold their own. Yesterday we did the exact opposite. Send 3 at 5 and make life hard for our backfield.
  3. I think it's fair to say the DC is a hot seat, especially considering he was not a MLF guy.
  4. One of the replies to that post gets into the weird DL dropping into coverage theme. They need to abandon that, last week. We had a 3-man rush going on Tom Brady where Preston Smith and Montravius Adams, 304-lb Montravius Adams, dropped into pass coverage.
  5. I don't even need them to win. Just stop losing by 30 to these teams. Make them sweat in the 4th quarter.
  6. I dunno. Blowing out HOU won't really do much to change my perception. That's exactly what everyone expects them to be. If they play well in SF and Indy I'd be a bit more at ease. Until they beat one of these defense-first physical, fast teams, it's a valid concern.
  7. I don't really but that 'adversity' is a problem. But it's hard to ignore they fold against very physical teams. It's been their m.o. for years under many coaches and they've done nothing to help it under MLF. Once Tampa adjusted to our opening sequences on both sides, they absolutely owned us. That was the 2018 Packers after the first pick.
  8. I actually thought the 2nd pick was fine, Rodgers makes a lot of those throws. That was an amazing play from the defender and then it bounced, anything can happen on those. I think it was Davis; he had to make a hell of a play to get his hand in there and he did with little to no contact.
  9. I'm so jealous of what Tampa has done as a club.
  10. I think I'm justifiably calling out something funny. One side of your mouth can't believe why anyone would question your hardcore fandom while the the other side was saying you'd never watch a football game again, 30 days ago. It's funny. Sorry. You really can't see why anyone would 'question your fandom'? I mean really?
  11. Correct, die hard since day one, then the political side of things stepped in and I stopped watching. Still followed the team though, just stopped watching all together. Thanks again for keeping track of my fandom, glad I can keep you busy. Lol. Dude, if you can't see the humor in this, that's on you. In about 8 seconds, one can find 10 posts of you whining about the NFL. It is the only breath in which you mentioned NFL football for the last several years. Nobody had to "keep track." Here is you, 2 hours before Week 1 kickoff, saying you don't watch the NFL anymore: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=39908&p=1313941&hilit=NFL#p1313941 Here you are, saying the day a player kneeled was your last day watching the NFL: viewtopic.php?f=156&t=39639&p=1301710&hilit=NFL#p1301710 BUT, now that your favorite team signed Tom Brady, that's all forgiven, and you use a Packers GT to randomly gloat in the first acknowledgment in years that the NFL actually isn't "dead to you." So, either one of two things is true: 1) You aren't a die-hard fan since 1977. 2) The kneeling wasn't that important to you. The team just sucked.
  12. No fans or not, they need to get one of these types of playoff games at home. That has been a near-universal theme in Rodgers career. These guy games against good teams are almost always on their field.
  13. I know you prefaced this but I think we need to give them at least two games. If they do this again in SF, it's completely fair. They came off a bye, which can be equal parts bad and good, that sequence beginning with the pick 6 was awful. It just seemed like the wheels came off and never got back on. Lots of great teams have looked like this for a week. The 2014 Pats got hosed by 30 on national TV by a bad Chiefs team. The Chiefs just gave up 40 to LV. It was bad though. My hope is that it was so bad it was an aberration. They were pretty dominant for a quarter and then I just don't know what happened.
  14. Shows how terrible NFL refs are. I don’t care how disciplined of a game you play in football, there are penalties on both sides. Today’s game it just wouldn’t of mattered. They were flagged for roughing Rodgers but it was a play he was called for grounding.
  15. All I know is that DL needs someone. Seemingly meh moves sometimes pay huge dividends. Howard Green was just a guy they signed about this time of year and was a huge piece of the team that year. They've had moves like that over the years and they really need to find a spark plug.
  16. It's frustrating to watch the Bucs lose a huge piece and immediately go and try to fix it with a bold move. It's just the kind of thing you're accustomed to the Packers absolutely never doing. They'd be on their 5th practice squad attempt before they'd consider trading a draft pick to solve an obvious problem. I know the Packers have a big cap problem but just generally speaking, "bold" is not a word I'd use to describe GB operations.
  17. MLF and AR said practice was awful. Although, I've never heard a team say practice was fantastic after losing by 4 touchdowns.
  18. It wasn't so much a matter of keeping track as it was you never stopped announcing your decision. I double checked to make sure it was you though and let's just say it wasn't hard to find the announcements. Signing Brady and Gronk brought you back but you're a diehard since day one...ok.
  19. Didn't you quit the NFL and announce it several times?
  20. The best we can hope for, I think, is that the Packers come back the way they did in 2014, getting beat up thoroughly in their first game with Seattle, not all that dissimilarly to this, then dominating them in the playoffs, before choking of course. So maybe we can hope for better. It's hard to ignore the pedigree though. It's fair to say same old, same old. We can play the "burn the tape" game but we got our clock cleaned by a fast, physical, good defense. Again.
  21. That’s free agency for you. All the fans wanted it. Now the Packers will only be able to sign one of Bahktiari, Linsley, and Jones. I think we can pump the brakes on this. Zadarius has graded out fine, it's been 4 games, not to mention he likely won a game in New Orleans. Preston has been used differently. They're dropping him into coverage a ton, it's not working and they should stop.
  22. That DPI was like what a kid does at the park in a game of pickup to play defense on a long ball. This has just been atrocious. I don't know why Rodgers is going back on the field. Just humiliating.
  23. I'd have a run a fake there. Midfield, game likely over, nothing to really lose.
  24. He's not getting set to throw on a lot of these because he's got almost no time or space.
  25. The lack of pressure applied to Brady is the most alarming part of this game IMO. He cannot move at all and we've done nothing to him. We are supposed to be at least decent and that and we are running right into a wall.
