  1. For years people wanted them to buy defense because Rodgers could make it work with just guys. I think they waited a tad too long and Rodgers is no longer that dude. Still good, but not that guy anymore. Much like Favre, he can still be really good late into his 30s but not with Robert Ferguson.
  2. I think the booth guy is nuts. There is no way that gets ruled a catch.
  3. The WRs are so bad you can justify doing something silly like seeing what Dez Bryant is up to.
  4. Graham has to catch that. Rodgers just does not get any help from this group. I've always hated that excuse, but it is terribly obvious this season.
  5. They have literally done nothing on our defense. The best offensive drive of the game is arguably the one we just did before failing on 4th down.
  6. Crosby about 75% from that distance over his career. It's a kick he should make and usually does, nobody said it was a guarantee. "Take the points" is just an expression.
  7. I don't think soft is the problem. The defense has matched them. It's just a glaring lack of talent in the skill positions on offense.
  8. I'd take the points here the way the D is playing, but I like the guts.
  9. Considering their first drive started at the 2 the defense has been outstanding.
  10. They have just got no answer. Defense is going to put in 45 minutes if this keeps up.
  11. 10-0 but they are getting to Jimmy G. Still a lot left in this, nice drive here would help.
  12. Lame call and an immediate touchdown follows.
  13. Eventually the offense has to get a first down but I still like the odds of our rush getting home and forcing at least one gift.
  14. That's been the case with SNF/MNF for quite some time, ever since MNF moved off Network TV.
  15. I could be making this up but just going from memory it really feels like the Packers get into this trap very often of starting every drive from the 10 while the other team starts at midfield. Especially in the first half. Just seems like I've seen it a bunch this year.
  16. Allison is just odd. There was a time where he looked to become the next diamond in the rough, and then got hurt and just never seemed to get back on track. He may not play in the NFL again after this season.
  17. Going back to that fumble, really stupid play from Rodgers. Completely under siege and that play is not getting a first down. He's got to turtle and punt there, not fight to stay on his feet to get hit by four guys.
  18. Now this feels like one we go down 17-0. I don't think we can look this bad all night. Maybe. I hope.
  19. Yeah, I'm not sure how he's managed to hang on as long as he has. I'd think this is it.
  20. The margins at the top in the NFC are ridiculously tight. Packers could lose today and then conceivably need to win next week to avoid falling out of playoff position entirely. But if they win tonight they’re in pole position. This is going to be tense. How? The Packers pretty much can't miss the playoffs at this point. They'd almost surely have to lose 7 games and stand a shot of getting in even if they do that. I would actually say this game isn't really that big because it's still very plausible they can lose and still end up ahead of SF. They still get another game with Minnesota, which I don't like them to win, but still plenty of shots at the division. And Minnesota's working the same margin. The margins are razor thin for the order of the top 5 seeds, but the Packers are gonna be in the playoffs. The NFC is basically already just a battle for who wins the East and the seeding arrangement.
  21. I'll be surprised if the Packers get crushed. Stranger things have happened, but Jimmy likes to throw a couple into traffic every week. I think it'll be close but I'll stick with my gut that the Packers take it.
  22. I hate Opening Day. I stopped going when I was about 22 and the draw of it wore off. I respect the wishes of everyone that wants to go to that block party and take in the urine and vomit, but I aged out of it a while ago. I sell it off every year and usually get back ~20% of my 20-pack. Won't be any different this year. Conversely, I went to the following 3 games last year and it's one of my favorite times to go. Weather isn't great usually, school is still in...bad for the Brewers but great for me.
  23. Personally I wouldn't hate this and it does make some sense if you are trying to load up once with Yelich. But I don't think DS rolls this way. Sustainably competitive has been his mantra since the beginning and you don't achieve that by essentially tanking a season.
  24. I'm not really freaking out about the lineup yet. A bat is getting plugged in there somewhere.
