  1. He improved there, that was a nice play.
  2. Just a gut feeling this is going to end on a pick in the end zone.
  3. A bit unsettling they can't put the clamps on him.
  4. He learned from the best in Kevin King
  5. Basically making the first 2pt tips the odds of winning more than missing it tips the odds of you losing, which you are already pretty likely to do. One of the other things that's hard to measure is how the other team plays it differently being up 8 vs 7. They may be more conservative up 8 and increase the chance of you getting the ball back.
  6. That link actually explains it quite nicely.
  7. Context and situation do indeed matter and in that situation I'm not seeing how that was the right call. The fact they are 51% successful and you might get one can't be the rationale. If it is then just kick the PATs at like a 95% success rate
  8. This alone doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. What is the conversion rate on an EP? Making 2 of them seems much better than a 50/50. I hate the Joe Morgans of the world as much as anybody but this REALLY feels like one the scientists got wrong.
  9. I can buy the idea that going for 2 is more worth it than not and teams aren't doing it enough, but when you get situational with it there are still times kicking the EP makes sense and that was one IMO.
  10. I'm not buying the analytics here and not seeing what difference being on the road makes. Especially when a coin toss decides the ball in OT and it isn't sudden death by FG anymore. This is overcomplicating a very simple thing. TD, stop, TD, go to overtime. Now you have to convert a 2 just to avoid a loss. Add in that there are 11 minutes left and it seems even dumber.
  11. Can we find a new acronym for coach? Every time I see it I think someone is talking about a MILF.
  12. And Seattle plays SF. If Seattle wins and the Packers win in SF they are right there for HFA.
  13. Well we didn't score, so, no...but...cool story, troll.
  14. He's been the best LT in football for 2 years but he is not this year.
  15. Exactly. So whinning about it for 15 minutes was pointless. Because you don't know what's going to happen on the next subsequent plays. I was never "whining." I said "Lol, that call was garbage" and you leapt into your homerism spiel. You can let it go at your convenience but you keep arguing with me.
  16. It's a yard. I have no problem with the call, line up and try to get 1 yard. David Bhaktiari is really have a bad season. McCarthy took a lot of grief for kicking FGs from the 1. You can't have it both ways. They are up 4 and get the ball. A TD there has a bit of jugular feel to it. No problem at all with the decision.
  17. I still like the call specifically because they're at home. On the road I kick the FG. I like the cojones though.
  18. There is no "trickle down" when it was 3rd down. The Packers shouldn't have the ball. There, poetic justice.
  19. I would love the call if they tried to run this in with 2 seconds left.
  20. You never know what the next play holds. Could have been a fumble on the punt the led to 6 for the Packers. Can't extrapolate what if's the rest of the way to determine dictating a game's outcome. It was a bad flag. Leave it at that. This is silly. A fumble on a punt is very rare. We literally saw the Packers throw an incomplete pass on 3rd down from the end zone. It's not extrapolating anything to say that's what happened and they shouldn't even have had the ball. That was as bad as any of those hit penalties I've seen. The guy had flung himself at Rodgers while the ball was still in his hands. Not to mention nobody would have this take if the teams were reversed. If the game is even remotely competitive in the 2nd half that call should be rightfully blasted.
  21. I don't like garbage calls against the Packers and I don't like them benefitting the Packers. They're garbage either way and ones like that can completely dictate a game. From punting out of your own end zone to 6 points.
  22. Lol, that flag is such garbage.
  23. Going to MP is the the equivalent of a bar with a cover charge for a lot of people especially the 21-30 demo and the bar fly demo. The baseball game is merely a backdrop. Almost like a baseball-themed bar. That sloppy drunk patio is literally nothing more than that. My wife went there constantly from about ages 21-25 and couldn't tell you what a stolen base is. I agree with you Jim, however count me in the minority that finds 2 beers and a bag of peanuts from behind home plate over 9 innings nothing short of paradise. I am counting down the days until my kids are old enough to do that/hoping they want to.
