  1. All the local sports teams are available from a million websites that pop up like whack-a-moles every time one gets shut down. And honestly those illegal sites don't have any of the tech issues that the legal ones do. The Reddit stream would always have a feed that was 15 seconds faster than Sling too. I ended up using it even when I had Sling just because it was easier and more user-friendly.
  2. Unloading players in the NFL would require a buyer that is already most likely winning and that needs that specific position and can pay him. That is a very limited number of teams. It is also by far the least plug-n-play sport of the major three. The schemes are complex and suited to the roster. It's much harder to just shove a guy in the lineup.
  3. What's the first calendar date we get a "wish they improved the team instead of playing dress up during the offseason" post?
  4. I didn't think the Packers defense was all that bad on Sunday. That team is really good offensively even without Mahomes. They got lucky he wasn't there, sure, but McCoy, Kelce and Hill are not schlubs. They got the game-changing TO and when they had to put their foot down at the end, they did.
  5. Agree that this is no walk in the park. Rivers is a great QB. I would not be surprised at all to see a disaster game defensively where he puts up 450 yards.
  6. I was at the Fail Mary game and that was the best stadium/experience I've had in the NFL. I don't mean experiencing history, but just the actual flow of the stadium, the views of the city from the concourse and the atmosphere/fan experience. For baseball, Oracle was my favorite.
  7. I'm not a huge fan of Lambeau Field. I feel like much of it has been stripped of its character but whatever, people love it, and that's fine. I also am getting too old and lame for sitting out in the cold. I was talking about this recently with a Vikings fan who said he loved it and hates US Bank. His words were that Lambeau Field "bring the rube out of you," and you feel like you're some place special when you're there. He said US Bank feels like a corporate creation designed to separate you from your money. When the game ends, you go home. You also don't show up 4 hours early. By any measure, US Bank is better, but in practice, every part of it is worse. His words, not mine. I sort of feel like that's how Lambeau has gone with all the development and Disney esque feel outside the stadium, but you can't blame them for modernizing the place and doing what they need to do. I enjoy Miller Park because it is wonderfully comfortable inside and that matters a lot in Milwaukee. But on a nice day, it is a pretty soul-less place to see a game. When it's 80 degrees I really miss County Stadium. But it had to be practical and it is. Love Fiserv Forum. Have yet to see a regular season game there as I'm too far away to go a weeknight. For some reason I struggle paying a lot to see an NBA game. I used to go to Lambeau a lot and I'll go to MP any night, but I've always found the NBA pricing structure odd. They play 41 games and it just isn't that valuable to me to see Game 55 of the regular season. I won't sit upper bowl and I pretty much am only willing to sit in the middle, so I just never get the itch to pony up.
  8. If he scores 22 TDs he'll be in the discussion from OPOY, but I have a hard time seeing him in the MVP talk with Rodgers on the roster.
  9. I'd really prefer they just sit Adams until after the bye. Turf toe is a horrible injury.
  10. This wasn't the week to look for a blowout. Dominate the Chargers.
  11. Well, I said 27-20 and Moore throwing for 300 wouldn't do much for the Packers rep. Feels about right, but this does feel like a great win. Put the clamps on in the 4th and got an important stop, offense was able to sustain a clinching drive. 7-1 feels good.
  12. Foot on throat. Keep it there.
  13. Sullivan is a baller. He is going to be big down the stretch as he progresses.
  14. Martinez is such an AJ Hawk. Lol.
  15. I'm not even saying it wasn't a flag, I'm just saying if you zoomed in I bet you could call that on half of the plays. The timing and circumstances just really make me wonder sometimes if there's any kind of directive to just call things if the TV audience depends on it. There just seem to be so many instances where a flag keeps a game honest.
  16. I'm not a conspiracy guy. I hate flag whining. But I see one like that and all I think is you throw it because it's prime time and it's a potential sleeper if you don't. Felt like it came in ten seconds late too.
  17. Will be close late which means Reid will do something dumb to gift it.
  18. If you want to be depressed look up any game from 2010 and watch Rodgers evade a rush. He can still move, no doubt, but he looks like lightning if you watch those clips.
  19. He has been sloppy with the ball all night. Finally.
  20. It isn't just Arrowhead. Spagnola is disguising the coverage until the last few ticks because he knows Rodgers will adjust. He's doing it, too, without enough time to do so.
  21. If there were a measure for memorable plays per dollar, I think Mercedes Lewis would be ahead of Jimmy Graham.
  22. So Matt Moore’s best quarter came when he got to play with these KC skill players in this KC offense.... shocker. It's embarrassing regardless. But a good stop. Let's see some ball control offense now. Defense played well after a 15 minute breather.
  23. Hard to read that and not think this defense hasn't changed one iota. That is vintage Capers 2011 stuff there.
