  1. No thanks. Unless we're up or down 5 he can play cards tomorrow. I'd rather see Hernan Perez go for a save. Don't even want the chance to ruin his psyche going into the WC having him blow another game. Ice him until you leave COL.
  2. This one will bug me all year just like game 7. I really would have been content with losing in the NLDS. To blow the shot at 163 in that fashion makes me want to puke and while I've been hyperbolic the last hour I really do not trust Hader at all with a game on the line. Cannot believe how low his ERA is because it feels like I've seen him do that ten times this season. Any crappy hitter can give one of his poorly placed meatballs a ride. I hate him in one run games, and his K% is severely overrated when paired with 15 HR/75IP. Would've traded some Ks for a groundball tonight. Just sick. Absolutely sick.
  3. The Brewers would be massive underdogs against anyone in the field so who really cares. Division would have just been cool for some bragging rights.
  4. The Cardinals are losing to their most hated rival, in a game where benches are clearing, a year after they cost the Cubs the division. The Brewers are getting blanked by 6 ERA starters. They're choking. 2/3 would have forced 163 and they couldn't do that. It's baseball and there are no guarantees but when that happens and part of it is your all star phenom giving up a dinger to a scrub, you choked.
  5. 15 home runs in 75.2 IP. "Is this your king?" Whatever I guess. Can't say I really expected the World Series but to come all this way to diarrhea like that, just wow. I thought Puig's home run was as bad as I could feel about the Brewers.
  6. There are plenty of bad takes on this forum but this one is especially awful... He's lost too many games for a supposedly awesome reliever and very likely blew our shot at a division title to a guy with seven home runs. You can keep pretending he's great but he has been getting taken out back way too much this year. Posted that I hated using him here before it even happened. Saw this coming a mile away in that park with a one-run lead.
  7. Hader does kind of suck though. He's getting to Turnbow levels with keeping the ball in play. He's either striking guys out or doing that. He blew it. Your stud horse needs to close out a hitter like that on Sept 28. Absolutely pathetic finish.
  8. I mean this game certainly sucked, but not watching the wild card playoff game because of a bad regular season loss seems like the most over-reactionary overreaction of all-time. Maybe, but Hader does suck. Shocked his era is as low as it is because he's a meatball chef trash heap.
  9. Vintage Brewers choke. Cards drop the first two and we get punked by 6+ ERA out getters. Good thing we clinched a wild card because we've reverted to what we really are just in time for October. Thanks Hader.
  10. I get why he was out there. But this is exactly why I didn't want Hader out there. If we were up 2 he'd be my first guy up but he is so susceptible to bombs that any trash hitter can tie it up.
  11. I have a wife reading a romance novel on her phone and two sleeping kids, I like seeing other people getting excited during the IGTs, like the old days watching games with my roommates.
  12. Why wouldn't he? Those were terrible calls and still should have been both called a ball. Seconded. Shaw did nothing wrong there. Hosed twice.
  13. Massive payroll or not you have to be awfully good consistently to get to the NLCS three straight times. Let's remember New York hasn't won a World Series in a decade. It's hard even with a fountain of cash.
  14. Had my years messed up, but three straight NLCS trips is hardly a one year wonder. Lots of teams go on runs like that without getting a title.
  15. They didn't miss the playoffs last year and won 95 or 96 games. This was really the first time they blew it. And they were in back to back NLCS and contending before that. So they won one title, but one year wonder is pretty inaccurate. They're probably not going to suck next year either. People are really jumping the gun on that
