  1. I don't think it's always money by any stretch. A lot of guys really don't want to lose. In baseball specifically, that can be a pretty brutal existence, relatively speaking. When you're 10 games under .500 in May, I don't care how much they make, that has to suck for a pro athlete. Especially in a sport where you play every day. They make more than a living wage anywhere they play, so I think the intangibles matter more than most people think.
  2. I'm just bored with the Packers brand of football. It's honestly amazing they've managed to cross generations with the same style of passing finesse offense and the same defense. Last night that defense looked interchangeable with any of the bottom 10 defenses they've had for most of 20 years. I'm not overreacting to one game as much as I am just fatigued of watching any +QB shred them. And Flacco and Cousins had windows of doing the same, but then would make a dumb mistake and get us off the hook. I haven't really understood the love affair with Pettine to this point either. I just need to see a signature performance against a good offense because they haven't had one in what feels like an eternity. I wasn't particularly jazzed by the offense myself. Kicking FGs and failing to score from the 2 on consecutive drives is not what I anticipate from a Rodgers offense and they were not playing the 2013 Seahawks either.
  3. Just ask your rep. I'm not sure they even print that on the e-ticket you actually get. I remember trying to figure that out last year before I just gave up and asked.
  4. Pretty sure it was set the day before. But there were two of them. It was a noon start at Wrigley, but my total guess would be it's pushed later if there is only one. But maybe not because the winner would have to travel to Atlanta, I think, but I'm getting a headache. If the Cards lost they'd stay put to host Washington assuming they finish ahead or tied and the Brewers would have to head somewhere to play WAS.
  5. He "started" last night too. Dude is hurt all the time. It's not a judgement of his character. Maybe that is all we can expect and maybe it's time to find a permanent new RT. It probably was time three years ago.
  6. I don't think anyone dislikes Bulaga. They are sick of watching him getting treated in the tent. At some point even the most talented player in the world is just a guy who can't play.
  7. NVM, AL plays Wednesday.
  8. No. Cubs-Rockies was a 7:10 start. Yankees-A's was 8:10. As long as the games are on different days there is no real incentive to put them during the day. The AL maybe? Because I think it's up against Monday Night Football which MLB is usually terrified of.
  9. Disney owns Hulu which does and will have those kinds of shows. See Handmaid's Tale. They have created Disney content that's exclusive to Hulu and are pretty obviously using that avenue for adult-centric content, so that won't be any kind of hurdle for them. It's not going to happen overnight but they have resources that nobody else does. Disney+ could lose money for years and they could still keep it going as long as they need to.
  10. Yeah, it's a Tuesday night, I can't think of why it would be a day game.
  11. I was considering going out there for this series months ago but opted not to thinking it would be a pointless series.
  12. If we get that answer early please find him a spot on the bench.
  13. The Packers have a really long way to go and there was a little bit too much excitement about 3-0. The defense has had really bad stretches in every game but Week 1, is getting totally gutted by the run and couldn't do a thing against its first really good QB. Getting bullied like that at home by a battered team on short rest is pretty bad. Offense was terrible in the red zone yet again and color me unimpressed with LaFleur. Very vanilla, unimaginative scheming thus far especially when juxtaposed with Doug Pederson. Not feeling good about facing Dallas, although Rodgers seems to have a knack for getting the best of them. Ugly, ugly game though. Just really sick of watching years of Packer football where QBs do whatever they want with 10 seconds to throw and RBs carry defenders at least six yards a play. That looked like a 9-7 team last night and there were a good amount of overlooked warts the first few weeks as well.
  14. Regardless of the likely fact that Philly isn't a bad team, this performance has been atrocious in all three facets and four if you include the coach.
  15. Garbage loss. Makes me feel a little better about the 9-7 prediction. Haven't been overly impressed but did not see this diaster coming tonight.
  16. Eagles roster is full of dopes. Thanks for the gift.
  17. Run defense has been shredded weekly. No quarterbacks were good enough for it to matter.
  18. So if we win we'll probably have to score 41 points. Wonderful.
  19. The PI challenges are just about stupid and time consuming as I feared. And this defense is not that great. Literally the first decent QB and it is Swiss cheese again.
  20. That "block" from Lewis wasn't great but Rodgers has looked very average this year and most of last year.
  21. Rather have the B team out there that probably has more guys trying to prove they belong in the majors.
  22. At this point I have more confidence that we end up forcing 163 rather than we host a WC game.
  23. The lowest starting ERA for COL this weekend is 5.68
  24. Basically play at the same time as STL the next three days with them starting 1 hour earlier Saturday night.
  25. Up to 24% on 538 for the division, which sounds just about right to me.
