  1. Friend in LA said he is going tonight for $60. A Brewers fan. Tells me nobody really cares until World Series. This is old hat.
  2. Sounds like you're coming around on the Hader decision. Only one question remains. Would you still take Oliver Drake over Jeffress? My only issue with using Hader was that I assumed he was finishing the game and therefore would be unavailable today and likely tomorrow. I incorrectly assumed they were going to bail on JJ for a night. I didn't think and still don't think that would have been a wise choice in a 4-0 game. That didn't happen though. My bigger gripe was pulling Soria. But we won and now everyone but JJ should be available if needed, so who cares?
  3. Most fans coach any game in any sport like they are playing Madden. You need to save Hader for a game tomorrow that may be 10-0 instead of right now. I personally would have preferred bringing Hader in once somebody got on, but who is to say 2 guys don't get on and then he comes in serves up a meatball? It worked so I am happy to admit he probably knows better than I do.
  4. I see it, but sort of relented after he came in. The weird thing is, the guys I was talking to were most upset that he was taken out for the 9th, but also arguing "what if we need him tomorrow!" The only reason he is possibly available today is because he was taken out. As an aside, Counsell has been named co-manager of the year by Sporting News.
  5. I think he means the team released tickets.
  6. Someone bought my SSH pair for Game 6 a couple days ago. I think there will be potential deals on G6. I only plan to attend if it is a clinch game for us. If we are down I plan to sell and wait for G7. But that leaves a very short turnaround time if it is 2-2 after tonight.
  7. I've heard like 5 theories as to why Hader played and I think they are nonsense. One person claimed CC caved to postseason pressure, whatever that means. Or that he was warm so he had to come in. I think it's more likely he already decided in that exact scenario that Hader was going to play. I don't think CC is out there just winging it.
  8. More referring to the likely flood of 2019 season ticket requests, parking requests and pre-sales. I am sure they are more concerned with that than issuing some refunds on time.
  9. Brewers were 4th in MLB in homers
  10. Likely a big hang-up with MLB on when and how they can sell, and how many. The only thing we know for sure is that if the Brewers make it they host Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  11. I hope to use him. With a 12-0 lead.
  12. I don't know how they do refunds on their end, but I imagine that has been a bottom of the barrel priority the last 2 weeks.
  13. I think Hader is available in a 1-run game or something or one that is pushed to extras, for one inning, or 2 outs, etc. It will moot when we hang 7 on Hill though. Definitely think Knebel is available and think that is one of the reasons Hader was used last night.
  14. The use of the pen last night couldn't have worked out better for as puzzling as those decisions seemed at the time IMO. I wanted Knebel to come back out, but now his light workload looks great. Same for Soria. Hader was barely used and has a day off on Thursday. Jeffress still gave us reason to worry, but we can hope getting the desired result helped his mind a little. With the benefit of hindsight, it sure looks better having JJ throw 9th than taxing Hader for the same result. But I agree completely, that it was a valid criticism during the game. But I would argue that Hader was used in a high-leverage situation last night. He ensured the bases were empty for the meat of their order. I think I am done projecting things. I suck at it, and Rich Hill is capable of throwing a gem, so I'm just going to pray that he gets rocked early on.
  15. It is just annoying. If your statement closed at an inopportune time like mine did, you had to come up with cash to pay for a game that has already been cancelled. The 10-day window seems like plenty of time to cancel a game and have your CC process it, unless they are waiting until day 10 to issue refunds. Guess after tomorrow I will reach out to them.
  16. I don't really watch pre- and post-game, but to be honest, I get a little tired of logging on Facebook and seeing 60 posts about how much Buck and Smoltz hate the Brewers. I don't pick up any of that at all and like listening to them, so shoot me. They are fine. I think people get a little too dialed in to Rock and think that is a broadcaster should call a Brewers game. I really don't get it. Same with the Packers. The national guy heap praise on Hader, Yelich, A. Rodgers. I think it just boils down to liking to complain. The little I have seen of A-Rod and co., they do seem to lack an understanding of what Counsell is doing, but I think that is more ignorance than hating the Brewers. Most of these guys are still stuck in the traditional methods so a lot of it is foreign to them. I didn't see any coverage last night, but the one post-game I did see, I can't remember the game, but Joe Girardi seemed to really get what we are doing.
  17. I have some friends that were livid about Hader's use. I was too during game, but after, it made sense. Like Counsell is some kind of wizard. I don't get being upset that Hader didn't finish the game...we...won? You would prefer him going out there to throw 35 pitches and be assured he can't play today and probably not tomorrow? Jeffress gave up hits to two superstars and then got out of it with a donut on the board. That had to help him mentally. Hader threw 8 pitches. We won. Basically every pitcher on the staff is available today. People are weird and need to calm down. If I remember right, you were the opposite of calm when Hader came in, then Jeffress. Happy to see you're calling for calm, just really ironic and a bit funny. You're ok with the moves since they won, you would still be all over CC today if they lost. Can't have it both ways. Don't mean to start a whole "thing" here, but at some point people need to realize CC is rolling with far more data than we have. They have a whole team of very smart people spending hundreds of ours figuring out a plan in how to use the pitching staff. Occasionally the plan will not work, as players still need to execute. It worked in the regular season, it worked in the one game playoff, it worked vs the Rockies, and it's working in this series. I literally said that in my first sentence. Also, I don't see how that is at all weird. Questioning a weird decision is normal, and Counsell got lucky that it worked. Sorry, but it was weird. But that fact is, it worked. So what is the sense is being mad about after the fact? That just seems like doubling down after you've been proven wrong, which is not something I'm going to do. I think being ok with something that worked vs. being upset when it doesn't work is pretty standard human behavior.
  18. They said within 10 days of scheduled game. So if it is 5 days after the 10th, they lied. Also, Game 5 was schedule on the 10th, so could still be a week out from that 10-day threshold, which is apparently a 15-day threshold.
  19. I have some friends that were livid about Hader's use. I was too during game, but after, it made sense. Like Counsell is some kind of wizard. 20. Are you talking about individual tickets you purchased for the WC game or the 12 game SSH postseason ticket strip? I think there are various options in regards to getting a refund for games not played that were part of the 12 game strip. One of the options is that they just put it towards your season tickets for next year. I'm not sure if that is the default refund method or if you have to somehow notify them of the method you are choosing for a refund. If you have the 12 game strip it's not just the WC game, but also game 5 of the NLDS and game 4 of the WS (since there is no way there will be 4 home games for the Brewers if they make the WS). I believe the final charge of 50% for the 12 game strip is supposed to take place tomorrow. Perhaps they will just reduce that charge as a way of giving a refund. Well, I am talking about the ind. tickets, but I am due the SSH refund too. The rollover doesn't apply to me because I paid in full back in Sept., for next year's package. At a minimum I am expecting the WC and Game 5 ind. seats refund. They could roll it over into my final playoff payment, which is charged tomorrow, but that would seem unlikely. And I would still be owed some leftover anyway.
  21. Still diddly in the refund department. Full 2 weeks after the schedule WC game.
  22. I hated all those moves, but after the game they seemed...right? Hader ensured the bases were empty for the best hitters. He threw 8 pitches. JJ came in, gave us a heart attack, but we won and his stuff looked OK, and probably exorcised some demons.
