  1. This would be the ultimate BF.net-ism! Definitely a +1 from me.
  2. Vogt is having a game.
  3. I went to the draft once... Good ole LL.net... I almost forgot about that. Nice pics, BTW. While there i noted this: Most users ever online was 492 on November 26, 2018, 11:06 PM The last post was in 2017, so... what happened on Nov 26th???
  4. I watched the Bucks against the Nets and was impressed by this pressure D. I'm imagining that against Chris Paul on full court press...
  5. ESA? EDIT: My bad, emotional support animal. It is hard for me to understand how or why such a thing even exists. I frequently have to laugh at what our society has become over the last decade....or two. There are plenty of legit reasons ESAs exist. Many soldiers suffering from PTSD have been greatly helped by having an animal nearby. Of course, there are plenty of idiots that claim their pet is an ESA just so they feel right in dragging it everywhere. But that doesn't detract from the real reasons they exist.
  6. He kind of did that in the last playoff game...
  7. Another meeting that should've been an email? I went to "read" this earlier and saw it was a podcast. I've not listened to one of this in a long time, but beat writers that fancy themselves as TV journalists are painful to listen to... I actually don't dislike Mosqueda whatsoever. He is a really good guy at analyzing Edges. Just offering it up in the Draft Thread - tis why I made the asterisk...I'll go back and bold it tho so it is more discernible. Sorry, I wasn't knocking your post. I was at Acme Packing Co earlier before reading your post.
  8. I just interviewed two people in person this week. I honestly couldn't tell you what either one was wearing (except for the mask). I know it wasn't a suit and tie. But this position is for someone that works in the lab most of the time, so there are no expectations s/he would be doing presentations or customer interactions where a bit more formality is expected. Certainly, the expectations have dropped a bit, but if I were interviewing (management positions), I'd still do suit and tie or dress shirt and tie in the winter (I hate wearing a coat on top of the suit coat). But that is also me... I like ties.
  9. yes, it is one of the rare times that being financially responsible didn't work. I just bought a 2017 GMC Acadia with 100k miles for $25k. A big upgrade from my 2006 Durango, but still... ouch. I was going to wait another year or two, but after totaling the Durango (and the other person's fault to boot...), I didn't have much choice.
  10. Exactly. He knows that if he counts that much against the bottom line, they won't be able to surround him with enough talent to realistically compete for a Super Bowl. The guy has made a lot of idiotic choices in the last couple years, but I don't believe him to be an actual idiot. Idiot no... narcissist or ego maniac? Its on the right track at least.

  12. They are just being polite if they ask if you want to write it down. The only reason to write it down is, well if the ticketing system is even halfway decent they can easily look up of you have a ticket. They could also email your manager if for some reason you called because your email was the issue. Yes...I know...and still felt the need to write it down.
  13. If Rodgers signs a long-term extension, I'd put the odds pretty high that Love would ask for a trade. Justified or not, and completely my opinion, I think that's what would happen. Why would he allow his career to toil as a 4-year backup or more and also miss the chance to cash in on a second contract, which is typically the best money-making contract most NFL players get? Another key part of the reason the Packers moved on from Favre to Rodgers when they did was basically because they had to choose between going with Rodgers or cutting him loose at that point. If all you mean is "he might ask"... ok. Kind of pointless to even bring up because there would be zero chance the Packers trade him. His first year, he looked lost. Second year, he looked OK. If he steps up this year and starts to show like he can read defenses, adjust, make all the throws, etc.. then I think he can start to push for a trade in year 4 (or make the Packers decide the QB future). Ironically, that is exactly what happened with Rodgers; starting to look like a legit starting QB in his third year. However, if Rodgers had looked like some QB scrub his 3rd year, I guarantee they push for Favre to stay.
  14. I've heard there aren't any sure-fire QBs for the 1st round this year, but I'm guessing someone will reach because of the position. Likewise with TE, I've read that there aren't any worthy of a 2nd round pick and a bunch that are similar in the 3rd-4th rounds. Granted, that will all change once the combine hits.
  15. I don't think that's necessarily accurate. If you're going to join another organization and hope to compete quickly, you are far better off being traded early so the receiving team can plan their offseason strategy accordingly and so that your client can go through the offseason with his new team. If Love had shown anything that resembled an NFL starting QB in his preseason or regular season games, maybe. Just because you are a first round draft pick doesn't mean you have the "right" to be starting somewhere. BTW, Love has every right to compete with Rodgers for starting QB spot. We all know it is unlikely he will win it this year head-to-head, but I'd wager the reason the team was ready to move on from Favre (aside from his retirement flip-flops) was that Rodgers was looking like a legit QB.
  16. I personally don't understand the "trade Love" mindset. 1) We need a backup QB. 2) We don't have money to pay a backup QB 3) Unless you just admit you are going to take a low-cost UDFA, Love is going to be the best and lowest cost option for backup QB. Ignoring the trade value of Love and whether or not he will become our 3rd straight HOF QB or not... we simply need him for next year.
  17. I called my work's IT support and they opened a ticket for me. The person says, "We will email you the number, but would you like to write down the ticket number?" It was like I couldn't say no... so I wrote it down. *facepalm*
  18. [sarcasm]If he loves drama, why'd he breakup with the actress?[/sarcasm]
  19. None of those are great blockers though. Perhaps Davis becomes that, but no one else is built to replace Mercedes. It wouldn't surprise me to see someone like Charlie Kolar (6'6' 260 - Iowa) be drafted in the middle rounds.
  20. Gard was probably just trying to communicate his intentions to Howard as a result of his lessons learned from last year that he wasn't a good communicator. /half-blue
  21. I like Mass Haas. You can find most of his work here
  22. Ukraine is lovely this time of year.
  23. The way refs allow flying elbows in the league is ridiculous. I was watching ILL vs MI-ST Saturday. Cockburn makes his move and clocks the defender with his elbow. The ref calls a foul (on the defender) and Cockburn goes to the line. Meanwhile, the announcer says, "seems like has a bloody lip" as if it was a mystery how it happened. Both ILL and Purdue have flying elbow squads. When those boys hit the NBA, someone is going to teach them a lesson because they won't be outsized there.
