  1. Nice D after the fumble, though. Looking much better after the initial drive.
  2. Snacks drove the center 3 yds into the backfield and nearly got Patterson. Good start
  3. Well if the flag didn't come out there? Wow. Have to get a TD here, too much time off the clock in 2 drives to not match them. Vikes beat us by minimizing possessions and I think Bears feel that is how they win today. Yes, but scream in a ref's face doesn't get it for you either. And perhaps a personal foul. And perhaps less likely to get a flag later.
  4. Clearly planned to go for it on 4th down.
  5. Adams has to be careful getting in the refs' face like that. Clearly held, but still.
  6. Too much speed on the Bears to be running sideways.
  7. We don't have a legit KR. We should be taking the TB each time.
  8. Martin has all the skills to be a great MLB, but he fired into Montgomery's hole and fell flat on his face. He hit the right spot, but you got to stay on your feet to get the RB.
  9. Go put your house money into it and let us know how it goes.
  10. Didn't Scott kick off for one year? You would think in the playoffs at Lambeau, if he had a bigger leg they'd let him kick off. We all know coverage could be an issue. Yes, when Crosby had a hamstring issue. And no, he didn't have a bigger leg.
  11. Honestly, even kicking it out of bounds is a ST win with Patterson back there and our recent ST play. No way does Crosby kick it out of the endzone today in the cold.
  12. I just hope the refs don't give us the Lion's treatment. They were horrendous in the Viking/Lions game.
  13. No way was Patterson out. He touched the ball first. Reminiscent of Cobb doing the same years ago, but he was clearly out of bounds first.
  14. I lived in Germany for a year. I worked for Motorola and worked at BMW - I was debugging car phone issues (the box in the trunk with the handset in the armrest). Just a bit before smart phones.
  15. Yep. Ginger was sexy but far too high maintenance. I was a Mary Ann fan too. Even married my own Mary Ann (next-door farmer's daughter).
  16. Nice. I'm not sure why I even bother to watch the "ball" drop. This year there was no ball and we watched a digital clock count down with a Kia ad on top of it...
  17. Kopps was my college hang-out, so part of it is the memories. They are very much a greasy spoon-type burger and I think Culvers is actually better tasting. But I still won't pass one up when I'm in town. The other burger I was told was so great was Solly’s butter burger. I went and oh my. I’ve never not been able to finish a burger but that was this one. It was soaked in butter. Like dripping and made a pool on the plate. People can’t like that, can they? My wife and I lived in Germany for a year where hamburgers really don't exist except McDs. We went to a fancy restaurant that was said to have an "American Burger". Burnt on the outside, raw on the inside, and it tasted like pepper. And that cost us $50. Neither of us could finish it (and I eat almost everything). Lessons learned if something says it is "American" in Europe... it isn't. (Pizza Hut "American" pizza has corn on it)
  18. Also weird that he refuses to wear shoes while golfing. Jim McMahon is weird... always was.
  19. Christian Yelich turned 29 three weeks ago. I understand what you are trying to say, but if you are going to rip into the team's front office, probably best to at least be accurate. So to clarify, we want to sign the best players, but not give big contracts to 30+ players? Do we realize that there are few 27yo free agents? Most of them are 30+.... And for the record, I thought Braun's deal actually worked out pretty decently. Not perfectly, but he was serviceable to the end (when healthy). There are certainly worse contracts at the tail end of player's careers.
  20. Kopps was my college hang-out, so part of it is the memories. They are very much a greasy spoon-type burger and I think Culvers is actually better tasting. But I still won't pass one up when I'm in town.
  21. Also, if we tie, it acts as a win. If NO or Seattle ties, it acts like a loss for them.
  22. Seems like the vaccine is getting out faster than expected, which is good news. A friend of mine that works at a funeral home just got his first shot. He is the first person that I've heard of to get it that isn't in health care. Granted, he is older and has health issues, but the company got it for all of their workers. Here's hoping for a positive turn in 2021!
