  1. If your wife happens to be breastfeeding, that might help protect the child, too
  2. I realize you are in AK, so the answer could be very far...but how far are you from a transmitting fox tower?
  3. Promote Alabama to the NFL. Demote the Jacksonville to the SEC.
  4. I didn't even know he was playing this year. Yes, that was a good pickup. But certainly, he is a backup..just a much better backup plan than we had previously.
  5. They lost to the jets. I'll rephrase then -- they haven't been blown out this season. I am not sure why anyone believes they've played a cupcake schedule because that just isn't true at all. Buffalo is a solid team. Miami is a solid team. The AFC North is quite similar to our schedule against the South. Probably slightly better. Their division is quite clearly better than the NFC North despite the 49ers being down this year. To downplay beating Seattle twice and Tampa once is just...silly (not by you.) Those are 3 real quality wins. We don't have 3 wins against 11-5/12-4 teams on our resume. The Rams have played a tough schedule. Anyone suggesting otherwise isn't really doing any research. No one gets 16 games against playoff teams -- everyone is going to have a few daisies along the way. While it is true that they had a tough schedule, saying the Packers don't have as many wins vs 11 and 12 win teams is a bit of "spin". Both had 2 in the regular season. The Rams got their third while the Packers were enjoying a well-deserved bye week. Both were also 2-2 vs. 11+ win teams this year too.
  6. I think I would've picked our KR instead. This matchup overall is very interesting though. Strength on strength almost across the board. - Donaldson vs Lindsley (and Jenkins) - Adams vs. Ramsey - #1 Offense vs #1 Defense - Rams 3 CBs against our Pass defense. With a healthy Goff, this could be a toss-up game. But we would really need to lay an egg to lose (probably worse than Seattle did). Goff played, but only completed 9/19 (Wolford 3/6). 25 passes, 38 run plays (not including 5 QB scrambles). It is obvious they were planning on being run-heavy. Unless Goff makes a big recovery this week, I'd expect much of the same.
  7. I didn't see much of the game. Can you detail why Hooper looks bad?
  8. He was at his worst, but I had a lot of respect for Favre that day. They asked him later why he kept throwing the ball. He said something to the effect of - I'm out there to win and we were behind. Running the ball wasn't going to win the game. The individual numbers (meaning the interceptions) didn't matter...only winning.
  9. I'm serious. You have plenty of good posts but far too many that are simply stated to insult the actual fans that want to discuss Packer football. Racist undertones and Cardinal shaming to boot? Please do spare us.
  10. I would suggest that you stop coming to the Packer forum to troll then.
  11. Given our salary cap situation, he might be someone tries to poach from us with a tricky contract.
  12. And now Heinicke is hurt?
  13. I flipped the game on and his scramble for a TD was the first play I saw. Thought he was dead and he somehow turned it into points.
  14. You whine far more about our fan base than I've heard about cutting Jake this year.
  15. I think the first episode tells you the timeframe. I think it was 5 years after the Death Star destruction (the second one).
  16. Yes, I cringe every time I see the top-10 city alcohol consumption stats...
  17. [sarcasm]I sense much fear in you from the business world. Fear becomes hate. Hate leads to the dark side.[/sarcasm] I can't speak for every business place, but my workplace sent as many to work from home as possible (I've been in the office ~6-8 times since April), mandated masks, cleaning your desk daily, temperature checks, self-health assessments, social distancing (including workstations in the factory and cubical offices), increasing HVAC airflow, removing most of the tables from the cafeteria (we are encouraged to eat at our desks if possible), and mandating masks (including giving us reusable and disposable masks to use). That is a huge difference from what you will find from eating at someone's house. Yes, companies certainly want to stay in business. Big ones, small ones, and medium ones... Sorry to say, but I sure enjoy having a paycheck coming every two weeks too. Kind of unrealistic to think everything just stops.
  18. You can't be old, because I loved playing X-wing. Granted I never tried to "finish" the game. I just liked flying around and blowing up things. I used it to relax and blow off steam more than anything.
  19. The stat counters must've counted that as a pass defense instead of a drop then. Regardless, TDnyan had a great season catching the ball.
  20. Was the drop on a play with a penalty - thus not counting in the statistics?
  21. I wasn't sure who beat him but I assumed the reason Jaire didn't get there was INTs.
  22. I would've said two more terms, but I didn't know about the two year limit of a VP taking over for the President. I thought the VP could take over a day after the election, then still serve two more of his/her own.
  23. Masks are still only meant to lower the virus load. Being in a house multiple days with people, masks really aren't going to do much. Limited airflow over numerous days... you are better off just assuming you need to quarantine at that point.
  24. I only seen Mack during the 2x/year Packer games the last three years. The first year, he was a beast and a major focus of our offense (granted, I think we had Bulaga out and a really bad backup at RT the first game). The second year, we were more wary of him, but he had little impact - Bulaga shut him down. This year I barely noticed he was on the field. In fact, a couple times I had to double check that he was actually playing because he had no impact on the game - and that was Bahk (some the first game), but mostly Turner and Wagner shutting him down. Maybe he has been killing other teams, but after the first season in Chicago, he has barely made any impact on our games.
  25. I think you're forgetting about a lot of the drops, particularly early in the season. There was one game in particular that stands out that Sternberger had 2 particularly bad drops in that they were easy catches, Tonyan had one, MVS had a couple. Though he's had a poor catch rate all season long. Also, Dante? I wasn't trying to list each drop, I was providing examples of when the drops were highly impactful (which ironically, that chart was pointing out - lost points based on dropped passes). And you are correct that we had one game where everyone must've used crisco instead of stick-um on their gloves. Pro Football reference also lists the team at 27 drops - but Tonyan had none. So I'm not sure what you are remembering with that one. I'd be curious if you took out that one game and MVS (he obviously has issues with catching consistency) how the rest of the numbers would stack up.
