  1. Granted, the first game was the Bucks we saw a few times this season. Hopefully, it's out of their system now.
  2. Thanks for the advice. The main area I expected it to be used would be a rural road with a decent sized bike shoulder. I hadn't thought about e-bikes. I'll have to take a look at them.
  3. I was thinking of buying my kids a 50cc scooter (so no motorcycle license needed). I was looking at Yamaha/Honda (mid-level cost) but wondering if anyone knows about Wolf brand scooters? Or any recommendations?
  4. Especially one started by me! Yes, it's all water under the bridge now. He is a Packer, like it or not. Time to cheer him to succeed!
  5. The main reason that he was there was that if anyone mentioned him to the Packers in a mock draft, it was really rare. I remember looking at him, but his size and position (277lb DE) and assumed he was a 4-3 DE and not someone we would consider. I'm also not sure where people are pegging him around #20. A lot of top 100 players rankings had him in the top 10. Sporting News: #4 ESPN: #12 CBS Sports: #9 NFL.com: #10 SI: #4 I picked the players in the vote based on the buzz around who was being mocked to the Packers and who we were talking about. Bosa wasn't there either, but if he fell to the Packers, I'd hope they take him...
  6. Plus, those late-round athletic types make great ST players.
  7. Gado was legendary... for a year. But it was great to see an underdog succeed. I'm actually surprised/disappointed how quickly he dropped to nothingness.
  8. For the rest of the draft, they could use more depth at ILB and RB. And would we consider drafting a kicker this year? At ILB, I don't know much about players beyond WI at this point in the draft. I've always been a Connelly fan and wouldn't mind seeing him on the Pack. But more recently, I've been considering what Van Ginkel could bring to the ILB. He was "ok" at OLB, but nothing special. But he has good size/speed and coverage skills that might make him a much better ILB. Kind of a poor man's Anthony Barr (sorry for using foul language there...). For RB, I think you start looking at gems from DII or maybe athletic guys that didn't get much chance at one of the DI schools. We are looking for a third string guy, so you could probably focus on one skill (scat back, short yard hammer, etc..). I think its a bit early to replace Crosby, but there are signs of his aging creeping in (i.e. shorter kickoffs). And he makes $6M, so if they wanted to go get another FA, he might be a target. I know they got some scrub for competition (or maybe saving wear & tear on Crosby). But drafting one in the 7th would signal a bit more seriousness to it. But I have no idea what type of quality there is out there.
  9. I'd just stand pat at this point unless someone you really like is plummeting. No point in moving into the 4th just to have a 4th... I'm warming to the Gary pick. He is going to be a boom or bust guy but it seems that he has a pretty high ceiling and a decent explanation for lack of production (i.e. blocking scheme). Perhaps with Pettite, there is more growth room. Not to mention that word is coming out that he didn't have a labrum tear and shouldn't need surgery immediately after all. Just for kicks, Gary vs. Bosa and Mack (at draft time): Mack: 6'3", 251lbs, 33 1/4" arms, 4.65-40yd, 23 bench press, 40" vert, 128" broad jump, 7.08 cone, 4.18 shuttle Bosa: 6'4", 266lbs, 33" arms, 4.79-40yd, 29 bench press, 33.5" vert, 116" broad jump, 7.10 cone, 4.14 shuttle Gary: 6'4", 277lbs, 34 1/8" arms, 4.58-40yd, 26 bench press, 38" vert, 120" broad jump, 7.26 cone, 4.29 shuttle There is certainly more to being Mack than numbers, but that is an impressive comparison for being 26lbs heavier. Bosa is more agile but otherwise is trailing athletically too. If... If Gary's lack of production was scheme and/or coaching (blame Harbo), he has the potential to be a steal at #12. Of course, that is the definition of boom/bust...
  10. Not to mention that Jenkins could very well be starting this year at LG.
  11. Kind of interesting comparison between Gary and Clowney. Gary is the heaviest player ever to run under a 4.6 40yd dash.
  12. Kind of odd. Weakness is lateral movement, which is a bad trait for a zone blocking C/G
  13. Highly unlikely that Bronson is back....
  14. Yes, I have no problems being wrong about the draft. We are having fun guessing and predicting. Of course, I had some right and some wrong. As did everyone else.
  15. Second round is a good place for a WR or T/G. Risner, Campbell or Harry work for me. See you all tomorrow night
  16. I'm good with a safety - but not this high. And not this guy. I'm ok with this guy, but I was thinking #44 for him...
  17. They gave up both 4th round picks. How will we get any more OL without a 4th round pick???
  18. Montez Sweat would actually be bad here... now. Bad to pick two injured OLBs.
  19. I'm guessing Fant to the Vikings.
  20. I'll learn for next year!
  21. Dolphin's pick Wilkins just executed the best shoulder-bump-bear-hug celebration with Goodall that I've ever seen. I think Goodall just soiled his pants trying to figure out what was about to happen.
  22. If he is at OLB, he might be a sneaky version of Sweat. Almost as fast, almost as tall, heavier, more about combine numbers than production (similar to Sweat), and injured (but less significant).
  23. yep. I heard absolutely zilch about anyone predicting Gary to the Pack.
  24. He must be thought of as an OLB. I was thinking a 4-3 DE, but given his speed, it might not be bad.
