  1. RR said it was lower than abdominal. He didn't seem to be very concerned about it. My guess is that any little tweak while being down by 10 was enough of an excuse to pull him.
  2. Listening to the opening day game (blah!) and Bill repeated (John Kruk?) a comment about how early TJs reduce the longevity of a pitcher. Any thoughts here on that?
  3. [sarcasm]Why did Ben Hendrickson's dad stop coming by?[/sarcasm]
  4. He had shown a glimmer of being able to hit in that one year. Not exactly a glowing recommendation...
  5. Blaze orange would be awesome for Bucks colors! Just please drop the red...
  6. any of those are going to look awesome in calligraphy on the line up card. Excellent.... just excellent.
  7. Wouldn't it be time for Yuni-B to return? Or did we finally break the cycle by not bringing him in on the odd numbered years for this year?
  8. I predicted 'Novas ousting, but had Virginia going. Mich St. surprised me there. But that also shows well for the Big10 that Mich St. has done so well. And gives me hope that Wi is legit competition for Kentucky. I missed the BF.net competition, but I have a firm hold on my family competition (wife and 4 kids 12 and under). So I've got that going for me... But winner gets to chose a dessert. What do you guys get for winning? Edit - Just found the thread: The winner this year will receive a 1988 Topps Joey Meyer rookie card.* Ironically, I think I have one of those!
  9. I'm sitting at 10 of 16 right in the Sweet16. Plus I still have 3 of 4 possible for the Final4 and both teams in the Final game alive (Wisconsin vs. Gonzaga). A long shot, but who knows.
  10. Its been 20 years, but the Forum Family Restaurant on HWY100 and Layton was always a great spot. Huge portions and not expensive. Large variety of foods also.
  11. I don't have a Brewer's personalized jersey, but I do have one for the Packers. However, I am an owner. But I did it before I was an owner also. Thought it was ridiculous to see people walking around with Chmura or Lofton jerseys after their "indiscretions". Just for grins I tried Favre 4 and they said Favre was a profane word. That is priceless! I'm not sure what is so "funny" about people putting their own name on the back of a jersey. No, they weren't ever on a scorecard. But if they are a fan for 40 years, do they have any less identity with the team than a player that had a cup 'o coffee with the team 20 years ago? By the way, if anyone had a Bucks jersey with "Alexander" that they would like to get rid of, I'm sure my son would enjoy it.
  12. Yes, that was a very long and thorough write-up. Took me two days to read it all (bit by bit). But worth the read.
  13. I came down to Gonzaga and IA St to upset Duke. But ultimately picked Gonzaga over IA St. and Duke. Interestingly, my wife and one daughter picked Gonzaga to the final 4 also (completely independent and having no BB background). Where my 7 yo daughter picked Duke all the way. (I read the names, she picked them. She didn't even see the records or rankings). But my gut tells me that Duke will not make the Final4. I think they are just too young and inexperienced.
  14. Is the regional placement based on the highest ranking team of that position? So, Kentucky stays in the Midwest because they are the top ranked #1 and this is the closest to their home? Similarly with AZ as a #2 and placed in the West?
  15. Don't grow zucchini! Just ask your friends if they have extra. You will have more than you EVER need.
  16. The other night, I was watching the Bucks game on TV and replaying a DVR version of the Brewers' ST game. I had my two boys sitting on the arms of my chair watching the Brewers and bugging me about going to see a game this year. Raising them right! Now, I just need to execute my get-away-to-AZ-spring-training-vacation plans and they will be BFF! (Brewer Fans Forever)
  17. Excellent stories...both of them. To whom much is given, much is expected. Nice to see guys that have so much positive going for them, not be "jerks" about their "status".
  18. The player with the best WAR in baseball can let an easy ground ball go between his legs for a game winning run Its just as bad as that same player allowing the first run to score and lose the game 9 to 10, right? I think the point is that because the BP is at the end of the game, it highlights losses where they gave up the winning run as solely their fault. But not scoring enough runs earlier or lots of runs given up by the SP put far more emphasis on those last innings where the BP wasn't perfect. Increase the offense and a couple of those losses are still wins even when the BP gives up a few runs (while giving a statistically "average" performance).
  19. He throws bowling balls Is that your way of saying that he throws a heavy ball that induces a lot of ground outs or a new training regimen?
  20. Seems like you would see much more specialization in the MLB level. You would have a few no-hit, high defense type players and a few no-D, big stick type players. So if you pull in your LOOGY, I'll respond with my RHITTY.
  21. If I'm the Bucks there's no way I do this unless it saves a bunch of money. Just pay him to stay home if that's what it takes, better than letting him play somewhere else while we pay him. Plus they could use his contract for a future trade once he gets to the expiring year. Unless they need the insurance buyout for other contracts...
  22. Many of us remember Anthony Mason's addition. That was like steak sauce on ice cream. Which ironically, was what Mason was eating for breakfast at the time he was with the Bucks...
  23. They did that with Denson his first full year.
  24. recently Charles Barkley went off on how stupid analytics are, I know absolutely squat about basketball analytics...but I'm suddenly a fan of them.
  25. Of course, Coutler playing in Brevard next year will probably have some repressed numbers even if he plays as well has last year. He might not "break-out" on these lists until Biloxi.
