  1. Thank you very much everyone. It has been a rough couple of days, going to a couple different oncologists. But I'm planning on going to the cancer center of america in Zion. I figure I might as well see a true specialist who only deals with Lymphoma. I've heard nothing but good things about this place, so I'll let you know how everything works out. Once again, I appreciate it. Now I feel horrible for lurking for the past 8 years and not really contributing! :P
  2. Thanks for the reply. Was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Not sure yet which kind. Going to see an Oncologist tomorrow to find out different treatments and such. Probably another week to see what kind specifically.
  3. Just curious as to whether or not any of the posters on this board knows of anyone that has had it, or has it now. I'm wondering because I very recently had a biopsy done and I'm currently awaiting the results. Was/is the treatment particularly hard on your body? What kind was it specifically? I'm not really down about it persay, just looking for real accounts of what has happened to people, and not just the "statistics" that I can look up on the internet, or that I get from my doc.
  4. I think Parra overreacted when he threw his coat at the bench, and I'm guessing he made a comment about that defensive play at the same time. I also think Fielder overreacted obviously. Parra MUST'VE said something to him, because right after they settle Fielder down, he is talking to Braun I believe and kind of points with his thumb towards the field. Maybe referring to that play that Parra said something negatively about? It's a shame but hopefully this can light a fire under their butts!
  5. 1. Mark A. 2. Sheets 3. Braun 4. Hart 5. Parra
  6. So, shouldn't Wrigley be called Miller Park south? We did win two series down there this year already..
  7. If she's a fun girl, the Dells would be a good call. If she's not fun, dump her. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Bummer you don't live in the Milwaukee area. Aquatics Unlimited usually takes anything.
  9. I suggest saltwater. The price tag is quite a bit more, but it is worth it. I currently have a 54 corner tank, AquaC pro skimmer, 6 gallon refugium, with a 250w metal halide light. I have 6 different corals, a crocea clam, skunk cleaner shrimp, boxer shrimp, a Sebae anemone, a matched pair of clownfish, a yellow tailed damsel and a flame angelfish. Many other invertebrates in my clean up crew. If you do go saltwater, the most important thing to remember, is to TAKE IT SLOW! There are a couple of picture in my profile, but they don't do the tank justice because it doesn't show how beautiful the tank really is.
  10. In the metro area from this storm that is about to hit. Time to rock out in the basement!
  11. Here's a link to the video. I didn't know that only little girls played football. Haha..
  12. Why don't we make EVERY pitcher in the NL look like a former Cy Young winner. *swan clap*
  13. I still remember the ovation he got back at County stadium. At the time it seemed like it was the greatest moment of his life to him. I remember back in 2005 there was a big autograph signing at Mayfair mall. Hall, Yost, Sheets, and a couple others were there. I got in line to get his auto, and when my turn was up, I asked him, "So Ben, are you going to win a Cy Young this year?" His reply was, "You're damn right I am, one for each league because I'm so %%@*@*@ good!" Keep in mind, there were kids around and everything, but my god, it gave me quite a chuckle! He is my favorite player, and probably always will be. Forgot about the censorship. He dropped the F-bomb if your wondering!
  14. 5 years ago.. Or is it 6 now? I can't remember when this site started! Anyways, I would check out the power 50, and look at the top 10 prospects, and buy autos, GU cards, and the like. I tried doing that just now, and Matt LaPortas cards are already up there at 20-30 a peice! My god. I remember when I bough Prince Fielders UD auto RC. 20 bucks. Now its worth well over 125(on ebay). I'm happy about the recognition, but sad I havent been able to pick up any cards lately.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  15. Seems like every column he writes in the Journal Sentinel is laced with bringing up racism. I can't stand reading anything he writes. You want to get rid of racism? STOP WRITING ABOUT IT!
  16. He has NOTHING more to prove at AAA, as so many people have pointed out. Give him at LEAST 8 more starts. Sheets wasnt lights out when he first came out of the gates, was he?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

  18. One hell of a game for Parra. Its not official, but he pitched 8 innings, struck out 5, and gave up a big fat zero on the scoreboard.
  19. Indianapolis 6, Columbus (Yankees) 5 Lee Stevens hits a two-run dinger in win... Indy Site Game Summary: The Indianapolis Indians (8-13) improved to 5-2 at Victory Field with a 6-5 win over the Columbus Clippers (5-15) on Saturday night. The Indians bullpen held off a late inning surge from the Columbus offense to preserve the victory for Tribe starting pitcher Francisco Campos (1-2). Lee Stevens' two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning off of Columbus starter Christian Parker (0-1), which put the score at 6-1, proved to be the deciding factor for the Indians. Saturday night's game marked Parker's second start of the season after having missed nearly two years rehabilitating an injured shoulder. The Indians got on the board first in the second inning when Pete Zoccolillo reached base with a double to deep left and was driven home two batters later by a Cody McKay single. Mark Smith continued his hot streak at the plate going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI. Smith drove home Jason Conti with a double in the third inning and later scored on a Scott Seabol (2-for-4) double to left-center. Campos pitched 5.0 innings allowing only four hits and one run, a solo homer to Nate Rolison in the fourth, while striking out six before giving way to the Indians bullpen. After Leo Estrella held the Clippers to only one baserunner in the sixth and seventh innings, Jamey Wright started the eighth for Indianapolis. Wright allowed three hits including an RBI single to former Indian Bobby Smith in his one inning of work. The Tribe then turned to Roberto Giron in the ninth inning leading 6-2 in a non-save situation. Giron struggled allowing five baserunners on two walks and three hits before being relieved by Danny Kolb with two outs and runners on first and second base. Kolb induced Smith into hitting a groundball to Tribe third baseman Seabol who tossed to Stevens for the final out. For Kolb, it was his first save since July 24th of last season for the Texas Rangers. The two teams will complete the short two-game series on Sunday afternoon when the Tribe's Ruben Quevedo (2-1, 2.61) looks for his third victory of the season against Danny Borrell (1-1, 2.65) for Columbus. Gametime is set for 2:00 p.m. as the first 4,000 fans will receive an Indians logo baseball. Indianapolis Star Game Story: Sheds some light on Stevens' situation... Lee Stevens and Mark Smith, two of the Indianapolis Indians with significant major-league experience, played major roles as the Indians defeated Columbus 6-5 Saturday night. Stevens, who decided this week that it was time to retire from baseball, blasted a two-run homer. The 35-year-old, who has played in the majors in 10 seasons, will leave the Indians after the team ends its homestand Wednesday. "I got to do it the way I wanted to, and picked the day," said Stevens. "I'm walking away from the game and not getting pushed out. I'm ready to go on with the next phase of my life." The victory was only the second in 12 games for the Indians (8-13). Francisco Campos (1-2) struck out six in five innings and survived three early scoring threats, giving up four hits and one run. Indianapolis built a 6-1 lead but then had to survive a ninth-inning uprising by the Clippers (5-15). Smith, who has a .243 major-league average for 381 games, had three of the nine hits Indianapolis collected in the first five innings against Christian Parker (0-1), who was pitching for only the second time in nearly two years after having shoulder surgery. Smith pounded two doubles and a single to drive in two runs, raising his team-high RBI total to 11. Columbus scored three runs off Roberto Giron in the ninth inning and had the tying and potential winning run on base when Danny Kolb -- the fifth Indianapolis pitcher of the night -- came into the game. Kolb picked up the save by getting Bobby Smith to ground to third for the final out. Indianapolis Box Score: Estrella and Kolb continue their solid bullpen work...
