  1. Isn't headhunter synonymous to recruiter? Ideally I'm looking to move to Cali, New Orleans, Seattle, or Alaska.
  2. I haven't stopped spinning "Echoes of Silence," "Thursday," and "House of Balloons" by The Weeknd. He reminds me a lot of The-Dream. Standout tracks thus far: Wicked Games, D.D. (Dirty Diana)
  3. Trade Wolf or Narvy and sign Oswalt? It doesn't make much sense to me.
  4. Has anyone ever used a headhunter? If so, I'd appreciate hearing about your experience. Are there any headhunters you'd recommend? I've been sending resumes for positions I've found on job boards, online, etc, and I haven't had any luck. I have a non-profit and project management background, a mba, and I am willing to move anywhere in the world. Ideally I'd like to get out of the non-profit world so I can actually pay my bills and get ahead. Thanks in advance.

  6. Wasn't that Braun's job?I think Braun was hired as a special nutrition consultant. Too soon?
  7. From a friend "Better than 11-13 million, but hard to call that a bargain when Madson signed for 9.5 million." I think K-Rod for $8m is much better than Madson for $9.5m. What am I missing?
  8. Montero is a much higher rated prospect. At least that's what I'm telling myself otherwise my loved ones will need to keep me away from small appliances and bathtubs.
  9. They are playing the entire record at every show on this tour. They have a show at Turner Hall too.
  10. If the Brewers could trade K-Rod without having to eat a huge chunk of his salary (which is a big if) they would still have to pay him for 4-5 more years after 2012. That mean not resigning pitching. I want the big fella back, but I want quality pitching much more. Prince on a 1 year deal would be awesome if Mark A was willing to expand the payroll even more.
  11. Lots of good and inexpensive shows coming to the High Noon. Lemonheads - January 22 - They are playing It's a Shame About Ray from cover to cover and Evan Dando is easy on the eyes. Sage Francis - February 16 - I'm looking forward to checking this one off my hip-hop bucketlist. Cursive - March 24 - They put on an excellent show when I saw them at Union South a few years ago. Fanfarlo - March 29 - Anyone see them live? White Rabbits - April 6 - They played a free show at Memorial Union in September. It was fun but short so hopefully they play longer as the headliner.
  12. I'm thinking about going to FRZN Fest at the High Noon Saloon on Saturday. Here is the lineup: Friday: Chairlift, Dom, Class Actress, Polica, Squarewave Saturday: S. Carey, Peter Wolf Crier, Caveman, Carter Tanton, Juniper Tar The only band I've heard is S. Carey. Is there anyone else I should be excited about?
  13. Madson to Reds per MLB Trade Rumors. Early reports say its a 1 year deal worth over $10m. The Reds are definitely going for it this year.
  14. This is the only information I found on voting and eligibility: "The Walk of Fame is selected by a committee of approximately 100 Wisconsin media members and Brewers officials. On-field personnel who wore a Brewers or Braves uniform for a minimum of three seasons but have been retired from playing/managing roles for at least three seasons are eligible for consideration. To be elected, nominees must receive 75% of the vote from all ballots received. Individuals must receive at least 5% of the vote to remain eligible in future years." Per Brewers.com It would be interesting to see who BF.net thinks should be on the Walk of Fame. I'm happy to put together the poll, but I can't figure out how to do it.
  15. Not to completely hijack the thread, but which Brewers from the last 5 years will make the Walk of Fame? Braun Prince Weeks Yo Hart Sabathia? Hoffman?
  16. They are retail. I got mine at MP when I bought a fancy shot. I'm pretty sure they sell/sold them at the team store as well.
  17. I think the aforementioned Brewers are 34, 31, and 22 at their position, and 46, 66, and 73 overall.
  18. Do we have a 2012 40 man thread going?
  19. Ummm.. At least Jennings played well? I got nothing.
  20. 1: Peralta 2: Green 3: Thornburg 4: Jungmann 5: Bradley 6: Gindl 7: Lopez 8: Schafer 9: Rivas 10: Gennett 11: Scarpetta 12: Fiers 13: Manzanillo 14: Heckathorn 15: Richardson 16: Khris Davis 17: Ken Davis 18: Bucci 19: Arcia 20: Ozuna I have no idea where to put Rogers. Is he still a prospect?
  21. I vote for Madison as well. The Mason Lounge on Park St would be a cool location. The staff and owner are great, the beer list is excellent, and it is a very chill place. There isn't a private room, but space shouldn't be a problem. Edit: I texted a member of the staff and they would love to have us. We can even carry in food. Pizza? Relish Tray? Another option could be doing our own Arctic Tailgate at a park in Madison. Potluck/Grilling, games, and talking baseball.

  23. We played "Things" on X-mas and it's definitely a lot of fun after a few cocktails.
