  1. Latest CBS Mock has Fromm going to the Patriots in the third round. I would hate it if he becomes the new Brady.
  2. I think Fromm is the real deal. Georgia runs the ball a lot because they are ahead more than behind and he has steadily improved in a high leverage program. He was good enough to make Justin Fields transfer to Ohio State.

  4. CBS Sports has a 7 round mock draft with the Packers picks listed below. I tweaked it a little giving the Packers only lower picks. What do you think? 5. Insert Knebel after Hader and it looks pretty good.
  6. What about Luke Barker?
  7. So far, Lazar has a much higher K rate than Suter did. Lazar's K rate at A-ball last year was very similar to Mike Fiers (12.4 for Lazar, 12.0 for Fiers, 8.4 for Suter), if you're looking for a high 80's FB comp. I'm pretty sure Fiers was always a 91-94 guy in the minors. It is just really really tuff to be a successful big league right hander throwing 87-88. I hope I am wrong on Lazar. 6'3" 185 can turn into 6'3" 200 pretty quickly. A little added muscle and weight can add speed and endurance. Not saying it happened, but I am sure he is doing everything he can to improve.
  8. Great, great defense. Great win. Toronto is a really good team and they have to make 50 percent of their threes to just stay in the game.
  9. Perfect basketball set...second last set of third quarter with Marvin Williams hitting the three. No matter how this games ends I am extremely happy the way this team is playing. Really great defense. Back to the game.
  10. 1 Brice Turang, SS 2 Trey Supak, P 3 Antonie Kelly LHP 4 Zach Brown, RHP 5 Drew Rassmussen RHP 6 Ethan Small LHP 7 Devin Williams RHP 8 Mario Feliciano, C 9 Aaron Ashby, LHP 10 Max Lazar, P 11 Justin Jarvis RHP 12 Angel Perdoma LHP 13 Tristen Lutz, OF 14 Jacob Nottingham, C 15 Lucas Erceg, 3B 16 Phil Bickford RHP 17 Thomas Jankins RHP 18 Dylan File RHP 19 Anthony Bender RHP 20 Micah Bello OF 21 Carlos Rodriguez OF 22 Alec Bettinger RHP 23 Corey Ray OF 24 Reese Olson RHP 25 Braden Webb RHP 26 Alexis Ramirez RHP 27 Nash Walters RHP 28 Eduardo Garcia SS 29 Joe Gray OF 30 Payton Henry C
  11. Bucks win a game they should have lost, but first should have won with ease. It is good to have some of these close games and learn how to win without Giannis in the game. It shows that it is not all about Giannis and that the team has multiple guys that can step up. I am really starting to like Kris Middleton and his attitude toward become that other leader of the team.
  12. Philly does scare me a bit. I agree their fans suck, but they took Toronto further than we did last year. I think we did learn last year that depth in the playoffs really isn't that important in comparison to having a star who can take over. I don't know if Embiid is that guy or not. He is supposed to be. The first round will be a glorified bye, but the 2nd and 3rd round will likely be Philly followed by Toronto. We're 47-8 for a reason, we have the best shot. But it's still not going to be easy to get out of the East. We have more weapons this year, even without Malcolm B. A healthy Donte D pretty much makes up for Malcolm and then we have a bench full of savvy veterans. Marvin Williams Kyle Korver, along with starting Wes Mathews. It will be harder for them (the rest of the east) to beat us than us beating them. Saying that you still have to play the game and make your shots. That is the joy of basketball and sports in general.
  13. We brought in Wes Mathews really cheap. We brought in Kyle Korver really cheap. We brought in Marvin Williams really cheap. All this happened because of Giannis and winning. And I am not saying any of the above are superstars, but they are the type of player that win championships.
  14. This, my friend, is called "enjoying the ride". I agree that the last four pages have been brutal to read.
  15. Nice game last night . Started strong and played hard all game. Got George Hill back. Running on all cylinders against the Piston's…. Kinda funny.
  16. A great song line and quote, along with a great way to look at life..."The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time".(James Taylor) Giannis could also get badly hurt and never play another NBA game. A million things could happen. I am just going to relax and enjoy the ride..."Isn't it a lovely ride, sliding down. Try not to try to hard, it's just a lovely ride."

  18. I watched the Sixers beat the Clippers last night after the Bucks pretty much embarrassed the Sixers. I am feeling really good about the Bucks, knocking on wood. My reasoning is Middleton and Bledsoe. Middleton is really looking like a viable Robin to the Greek Batman. He is starting to stay within his game and executing it at a high level with few flaws....knocking on wood. Bledsoe is doing the same to a lesser degree. I just wish he would stop leaving his feet so soon on drives. He needs to make his driving decisions a little bit later, he is so quick and strong, he can take it through to the other side of the hoop and make adjustments there. Doing this would increase his assists, which is the point of being a point guard. It will be interesting to see how Marvin Williams plays with the Bucks. His numbers and minutes are about what Irsan 's are. I see Irsan playing more like a small center and RoLo staying on the bench unless the opponent has a really big center or Brook gets into foul trouble. This is a really good problem to have. If Williams fits in nice, like George hill did last year, one of Irsan or Dj may need to go next year. No room at the inn.
  19. Yup. The first step is deterrence. The Bucks allow an NBA low 22% of their opponents FGA between 0-3 feet & 15.3% of their opponents FGA between 3-10 feet (7th lowest). League average FG% is 66.2% at 0-3 feet, Bucks allow an NBA low 59.9%. So we deny the highest % shots more frequently than any other team & when teams do shoot from there they convert at a league low rate. Can't get much better than that. League average FG% is 39.5% from 3-10 feet while the Bucks allow an NBA low 31.4%, 2nd lowest is 36.6%, a massive difference. It's moving a little farther out, but the Bucks are also top 5 in the NBA defending midrange & long twos, 38% vs 41.1% league average from 10-16 feet & 37.1% vs 40.6% league average from 16 feet to the 3P line. It is hard to watch the NBA because of the lack of defense intensity. It is easy to watch the Bucks because the do just the opposite.
  20. Who would that defensive player be? Seems like we have really good defense at every position. Wes Mathews really shored up the shooting guard and Robin Lopez does well at the backup center.
  21. I don't think we should make a big move.....but a smaller move might be wise. Would Detroit trade us Derrick Rose for DJ Wilson plus ??? I would love to have Rose's grit on the bench or does he suck the oxygen out of the bench? I really don't want to trade the Pacers pick. It could yield a Donte type player. Any other thoughts?
  22. Earning that $30 million. This is what you expect from a team leader. When he is a true number two leader of the team, it sure makes you confident in the success of the team. When Giannis sits and watches the rest of his teammates succeed at such a high level, he has to say to himself, "Man, this is great. Why would I want to go somewhere else and hope it works out."
  23. Yes and no. Yes they will win 70 and no it does not matte if they do. Their bench players are so good that they can win games on their own. The Paris game is a good example . They starter were just ok and the Hornets was playing over their heads, a perfect scenario for a loss. Even the normal bench guys were just ok. In comes Patty C and he helps spark the bench. First lead comes on his steal and jam. after that it was all Bucks.
  24. I just watched the tape of last nights first half and all I can say is this team is starting to jell. Very nice cuts to the basket, very nice passing, very unselfish offense, really good defense....by everybody! Add in Dragan Bender playing for Robin Lopez and not skipping a beat, actually looking a little better. And we have The Freak....who is playing man basketball, with the refs calling charging fouls that should be blocking calls to keep it looking fair (Trying not to be a homer, but really the only charge was the one overruled). All this with the Nets playing pretty good, making tough shots and looking at the scoreboard at halftime being down by 15.
