  1. Any chance we could trade for Cease? Maybe one of our young outfielders plus, plus?
  2. Just woke up and saw the Gary Sanchez signing. That looks like a very good upgrade at catcher and DH.
  3. They still have around 15-20 million to spend if they want. Junis is ok, but I would feel better with another arm or a proven bat. Any thoughts?
  4. I don't think so. OK signing, long relief or number 5 starter. I hope Gasser is the real deal.
  5. The rotation is a huge question mark and another veteran option would be nice. I would be happy with an inning eater like Terehan as our number five starter.
  6. There are a number of free agents still available.
  7. Tik tok the clock is running, maybe some of these free agents will sign for less.
  8. Cabrera. Competitive Balance B Pick, Tanner Scott, and Anthony Maldanado for Adamas, Wiemer, Freddy Zamora and Logan Henderson. getter dun!
  9. Could we get Jordan Mongomery for 2 years/$45 million? Now that Burns' money is gone, we have a chance to replace him with his money plus a little more. Maybe a lower priced starter? Any guesses?
  10. Projections are fine and dandy, but it does not mean a thing until you play. A 3.83 era over 12 years makes me like his chances. I doubt he will be worse than last year's 4.40 era. Gasser, for example, has a 3.90 era in 31 starts at AAA. I just don't trust that he will be a great number 4 pitcher, he just has not proven that yet. I hope he does, but until so, I would rather have a proven yet older arm for insurance.
  11. I also do not like his durability; I would much rather sign Julio Teheran.
  12. Peralta-Burnes-Miley-Gasser-Rea-Ross-Ashby-McKendry. I am not loving (trusting) anything past Miley. Julio pitched really well, when asked, last year and a few million would be a conservative investment in this year's starting staff.
  13. What should the Brewers do this month to boost their roster? Here is what I think... Carlos Santana $7-10 million Julio Trahan $4-5 million That takes their roster to about $120 million. Any thoughts?
  14. Looking through the Oriole's prospects, they have a few young pitchers that might be interesting but nothing special. If you throw enough mashed potatoes at the wall, something might stick. Baumeister and De Leon have higher ceilings than the rest. 15. I went big at backup Catcher with Sanchez, thinking he could DH and PH often with no letdown when Contreras sits. I also love the leadership of Carlos Santana. We probably need another SP. Hoping Ashby rebounds.

  22. You have convinced me! He looks perfect. Why is he not rated higher?
  23. They have a nice combo of leftys right now. Hader. Gio, Drew, Claudio, and Sutor. I would try to keep them all and then drop Anderson and sign Lyles. I think they can financially do it with Nelson, Davies, Woodruff, Hauser, and Lyles as starters with Freddie and Burnes and one of the lefty ex-starters as back up starters. The way CC uses his pitchers having quality leftys like this would really help him.
