  1. Where is the "bunt" in the 3TO creed?
  2. I need to start watching games with the sound on. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  3. Does everyone think they have to swing like Jenkins to make him feel better?
  4. Maybe Ned is letting his kid manage the game today.
  5. They're stupid. I think we already established that one.
  6. C'mon. Walk the next three guys to get to Jenkins. We know you want to.
  7. If you want to use the term "call", go ahead, I guess. The first time I said it, it was a thought in my head that produced a bit of a chuckle. Now that it's actually possible, it's just weird. Just my luck, "The Hawk" will mow them down 1-2-3.
  8. I'm telling you right now. The only way this game can end is on a Jenkins strikeout.
  9. Great. He played well after the rest of the team went in the tank. That's helpful.
  10. I'm tempted to go find something else do to. Clearly, Ned isn't interested in winning the game...maybe he's content with a 2-1 start or something. This is ridiculous.
  11. I thought of that after I finished ranting, and I didn't feel like going back and changing it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif He could have switched things around, but it might have gotten a bit messy had the pinch-hitter gotten a hit. The further the inning ends up going, the less attractive that a double switch would have looked. I dunno. Maybe I'm just an idiot. But I think Ned completely mishandled that.
  12. A Jenkins strikeout is the only way this game can end.
  13. Bill-- I agree with you, but you have to deal with what you have, or something like that. And part of that is that Ned has to rid himself of this hard-on he has for lefty vs. righty. We needed Magruder to hit for the pitcher as much as we needed a hole in the head. When you only have one true outfielder on the bench, it doesn't make any sense to pinch-hit him in a spot where you know he can't be used in the field. It limits what you can do in situations like that. Given Ned's history, there's no way in Comiskey Park that he wanted Jenkins to hit in that spot. But by putting Magruder in a one-and-done spot, he limited his options to basically none. And it left Dusty laughing in the other dugout, because he probably knew Jenkins would be allowed to hit...er...strike out against Remlinger. I'm not a huge fan of second-guessing managers in the third game of the season, but Ned has to be smarter about managing his bench if it's going to remain this severely limited.
  14. Why don't we just forfeit the game? Clearly, no one in the dugout is interested in winning it. Nice strategy, Ned. I'm starting to think you're not much better than some of the idiots I like to rip (i.e. Little, Guillen, etc.).
  15. Odds of the Brewers pinch-hitting for Jenkins...about the odds of Craig Nall starting in Week One for the Packers.
  16. The longer we make those old hags wait to sing their stupid song, the better. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  17. If you're talking about Bottalico, I agree...and I'm pretty sure you were responding to the crack at Bottalico.
  18. Congratulations to Jeromy Burnitz on his first career opposite-field hit.
  19. Now's not the time to start making contact, Geoff. Just your luck, you'd knock a double play grounder out to the second baseman.
