  1. I would assume. He had a rough outing last time, but he hasn't pitched in two straight, so I would assume he'd be the guy. Edit: didn't realize he was injured.
  2. That goes against the rules though. I was always told, you cannot give yourself a nickname. It has to come from someone else. I don't make the rules, I just live by them.
  3. 90ish Ok. Would love to see him get through 7. Not sure if about that, but 7 would be ideal.
  4. Maybe I don't keep up on Brewerfan as much as everyone else, but just wondering where the nickname came from?
  5. Marcum has 73 pitches through 5 and a couple quick innings in a row. What do you think his pitch limit is?
  6. Just saw that too, wish I could feel bad for them, but Red Sox fans bug me.
  7. Nyjer Morgan, you are awesome. Still want him batting lead-off, but just the fact that he's in the lineup finally is cool.
  8. I just realized that this game isn't on tv either, and tomorrow is on WMLW because for some reason FSN thinks people like the Bucks. So that's two straight games that I'm going to miss. Well, the only game this year that I missed was their first win, so maybe it's not all bad. Should win these next two.
  9. Rickie in the 2 and Morgan lead-off is ideal for me. Two guys with good leadoff skills getting on base for Braun and Prince would be amazing.
  10. I think they have as much right to boo as they have an obligation to cheer. They paid, they can boo.
  11. I know I'm the only one, but I had more fun cheering for the rotten Brewers teams of 10-15 years ago. At least then, you cheered, if they won, cool, if they lost, oh well, they weren't supposed to win anyways. Now it's the opposite. When they win, oh well, they were supposed to win, but when they lose it's more of a letdown. It just seems wins aren't as cool, and losses are even more devastating. Just not as fun.
  12. It doesn't matter if he shortens it up or not. The only way he's going to hit these pitches he's swinging at are if they bounce off the roof first. Or maybe they could train him in batting practice and say "Carlos, now if it goes over the top of the cage, don't swing."
  13. Got a bad feeling about this inning. Walking the 8th guy is bad news.
  14. I can't think of one thing that I like about Wil Nieves. Second time in two at bats. Brewers could have at least three by now. Absolutely no reason for him to be on this team or in the lineup today when you have a lefty catcher.
  15. Good that Morgan finally gets a start. Would be better if he was leading off though. But, can't have everything.
  16. Okay, yeah, I guess it's probably nothing. Must be strange for Z though. Usually he only hurts his hand when he punches a teammate.
  17. Betancourt with a nice play! I didn't know he was able to do that. Honestly though, I don't think I've seen a Mariners or Royals game in.......ever. So this series is the first I've seen of Betancourt.
  18. So what has to happen for Nyjer Morgan to get a start over Kotsay? Does anyone have any incriminating photos of Roenicke to pass along to him? Kotsay has the range of a sleeping rock. I would love to see Morgan lead-off some game with Weeks batting second just once to see what it's like for Weeks to hit with someone on base.
  19. Haven't seen this discussed, but maybe it has been. But, Zambrano left the Cubs game early shaking his throwing hand and wrist after he made a pitch. They took him out right away. Haven't seen any word yet.
  20. On another note though, what is the record for most innings without hitting one out of the infield? Wood is a good pitcher, but our hitters are making him look amazing.
  21. He could be rotating his arm to keep it stretched out because it's like 3 degrees there. But, tradition is all MLB is about these days so keeping the tradition of Reds starting the season at home every year is somehow more important than the fans' comfort. I think, if a team wants to start the season at home, they should be forced to put a roof on their stadium. But, then again tradition means jack to me.
  22. If he is hurt, they should take him out right now. He can't pitch strikes anyways, and the hitters haven't even come close to getting one out of the infield.
  23. After watching Axford in spring, my first thought to start the year was Turnbow 2.0. So far, I'm right, which sucks. I hope I'm wrong ultimately.
  24. The funny thing is one of the main reasons they don't want it is because it would take too much time. What they don't realize is it would take less time to see the replay and change the call than it took for Kotsay and Roenicke to be done arguing. Not only that, but the extra two at-bats that it took to extend the inning. That's time that didn't need to be taken.
  25. Too bad for Rickie. Lost 1000 points on his slugging pct. with that double. I guess it's still alright though.
