I know this has been posted before, but I think the 'Crew has/had some 'closers in waiting' in Bush and Seth. Agreed that they have more vaule being successful in the rotation, but I'd be willing to try either in the pen as needed.
I would assume then relief pitchers would be measured better by Whip and BAA has more value in starters as they log a lot more innings. Is there another tool or measure I should look at?
I'm not the greatest at evaluating statical tools (I'm a lemming). Which of these is the 'better' indicator of a pitchers success? Would one be more useful for examining a starter as opposed to a reliever? Appreciate the feedback.
Bill Hall will remember that he is Bill Hall and these are the Reds. Maybe Russell has something going on that we don't know about (injury, previous engagement...)?
I'd think that the 'Crew could at least PH for Kendall as the situation might dictate. I also wonder why Ned couldnt make a chance behind the plate in the blowouts (like the last two Cubs games) like he will with some of the other position players.
If you think of it this way Jay; how old are you going to be if you don't do it now and put it off? Just go and get the job done. I was 27 when I finished my undergrad, actually had a much more mature approach at that point in life. I'm sure it will go well.
Boy, going over 5 years is a crazy risk for this franchise. If either could be signed for 5 years or less ($100-120) I suppose keeping one would be ok...but those 4 picks are pretty darn valuable too.
