  1. Sweet jimmy, Toronto didn't let Blue Jay's play in Toronto this summer?? That's ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. Umm...the US-Canada border is closed. Look at what the NHL is doing. The Canadian teams are stuck in their own division and can only play each other in Canada. The rules seems to be working since the Canadian NHL teams haven't had a single COVID cancellation to date. I get that but at least keep the possibility open, like, mass vaccination by June, baseball goes until October...? Whatever, this topic will just turn contentious.

  3. Once again I ask, how is Robert Murray the hotshot scoop breaker after breaking in as Brewer's beat just four years ago??
  4. I could write 100% of his stories and he never gets any scoops. Must be the cushiest job in journalism. Facts. Dude is washed. Need new blood to bring some life and some push back on the we are broke scenario. Speaking of new blood, I think Robert Murray came onto the scene like 4 years writing Brewer's beat for the Athletic and now it seems he gets a ton of national scoops. Wonder how that happened?
  5. Yep. Nothing makes you feel older than when players you watched when you weren't that young now have kids playing as adults.
  6. I guarantee MLB didn't sync. That sucks.
  7. It's super clear in synced multi view. That's BS.
  8. Wonder if MLB will also sync. From one angle he looked up touch before out...
  9. I don't want to research this: what was Trevor Bauer writing with his foot behind the mound last night??
  10. The stuff looks great. Whoops, spoke too soon
  11. I like it. Definitely prefer it to the silence of the scrimmages last week and it's a better sound than I've heard piped in for some other sports. They just need to get better at timing the cheers/etc. at key moments in the game. The crowd noise sounds a lot more fake than what they've been using for English Premier League soccer games. I wonder if this is due to the source (IIRC for EPL it's produced by EA Sports using the same content from the FIFA video game), or if it's just easier for soccer, where there's much more of a sustained crowd noise compared to baseball where it's much more situational. Agreed. EPL I kept forgetting it wasn't real. This noise sounds tinny and artificial.
  12. "Brewers ace Brandon Woodruff had to remind himself during an extended outing the other day to retrieve his rosin bag behind the mound after each of his innings. Catchers have caught themselves throwing down to third base after a strikeout, and first baseman Logan Morrison has sometimes been unable to deny the habit of throwing the baseball around the infield after a groundout." I'm honestly curious about the safety protocol involving throwing to third after a strikeout and around the horn on a ground out...what am I missing?
  13. https://www.bradenton.com/news/coronavirus/article244164887.html https://www.wyff4.com/article/first-child-dies-due-to-coronavirus-in-south-carolina-dhec-says/33284245# https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/lauderhill-family-loses-two-children-to-covid-19-days-apart/2260990/ While not nearly as common as older people, kids and young people have been dying as well (I'm presuming in the articles that don't specifically state symptoms that there's a reasonable assumption they had some before death). I did qualify my statement with "healthy". The Miami story the kids have pretty severe cormidities. The other two links are silent on pre existing but I'd guess there were. They were also silent as to experiencing symptoms.
